The OFC Technical department through its programs and professional staff will work in conjunction with MA’s to try and foster and develop football throughout the pacific region while increasing participation at all levels and for both genders.

In fulfilling this objective, the development of football related activities, resources, programs and facilities, from school-ground to national teams is essential.

The OFC Technical Development Plan overviews the extensive work to be undertaken by OFC and MA’s in the technical areas of the game and provides the clearest possible vision of how working with football communities and schools can transform the way the game is developed in the future.

The benefits to our players and ultimately local communities are real. It is essential to d use a long term plan for players, coaches, referees and sports medicine development. The new OFC education and training structure will provide a to capacity build competent personnel.

Personal development, social behavior and gender equity in addition to the core technical aspects and enjoyment of playing football brings substantial benefits to all our communities.

The OFC Techincal development plan sets ambitious targets and when successful implementation will radically change the way we approach many aspects of the development and management of football in the Pacific.

In conjunction with FIFA, MA’s, Governments Departments, Educational institutions and sponsors the OFC Techincal Development plan will provide a pathway and lifelong experience of the game to all who participate.
