Deadline came & went, and we stayed the same.
No changes, no new faces or no hope for the season that is. Arsene must be a fool, too busy with other dutuies to focus on the job of having a winning team. I guess I should burn my Arsenal underwear in effigey and turn my back on the team.
BULLSHITE!
I was hoping like everyone that we would bring in another midfielder, hell I was hoping for another defender too. But alas we did not. I think that Arsene did maybe wait too long, but that is his cross to bear.
What we need to do, our obligation as Gunners, as loyal fans as the faithfull is to support the team that is. Give the players that are there our full encouragement, undying devotion and belief that anything is possible. Because without that, they will fail.
To the people who want to turn in their season tickets becasue there is no new midfeilder, you are not loyal. Would you leave your wife, husband or children if they didn't bring the milk home becasue you desperately wanted a bowl of cereal. You might be a little pissed, but you'd get over it.
So get over it!

I must say that today it is official, all it takes to win a title is money.
I mean if you read all the news reports, blogs and other comments out there, apparently Manchester City will now be a huge contender for the title, or rather any title. How dissapointing is that? I know it takes money to build a team, but do we have to be so blatant about it? At least the news casters weren't saying ManU or Chelsea will win because someone has a big wad of cash, but to actually come out and state that a team will now be in contention because of a sugar daddy is disheartening.
Not that I begrudge Man City fans of anything, if it came down to Arsenal or you Gunners all the way, but the only reason they are being considered is becasue of thier new owners. I mean with about 250 Billion dollars in personal assests, sure you can have anything you want. But if that's all it's come to, why bother doing it for the pure passion of it?
That's what the problem is. I'm sure Frank Lampard, Rhobinio or Carlos Tevez all love to play football, but is there any real passion when they look at the team they are playing with and know they are going to win? That they will beat their opponents not on skill or luck, but because they have the bigger pay checque? What is going to happen to the teams like Sunderland, Derby or Wigan? Will we need a Premier League made up of 19 teams, or should we just have a playoff of 4 and be done with it?
I love football, I will not stop loving it or watching it, I just feel a little less now that it is truly apparent that all you need is money, money, money.

I have to say that I must agree with several bloggers about Adebyors' comments the other day. He is a hyporcite, and he was caught trying to steal from the cookie jar. Slap him on the wrist and be done with it.
Most of all I totally agree with ArsenalTruth about his comments on the matter of players being sold or transfered.
"If another employer tapped you up - it's called headhunting - and offered to double your salary, 99 times out of 100 you'd be off like a shot. People call footballers greedy, but footballers are not a special breed of human, they're not alien hybrids, they're just like you and I and they behave just like you and I would when placed in the same situation. If footballers have no ethics then society has no ethics. So no, I don't have any problem with a footballer wanting to leave Arsenal for any reason, if they want more money go for it. "
What is disheartening for the fans are the games that are played by the players. Look at that c*nt Rononald or AsreShaven at Zinet St.Petersburg. "I'd really like to play for Barcelona, no? Oh I mean Arsenal, not gonna happen huh, how about Sp*rs?"
Get some balls, stand up for yourself and say what you want. If a player tryuly said "I don't want to play for Blackburn becasue i'm really not happy and they won't offer me more money," how long do you think you or I would moan about it? Probably a little while then move on. But wouldn't you respect the fact that he said it rather than f*ck us around?
Then look at someone like Cesc Fabgregas. Oh Cesc, thank you! (Insert small man crush here). How much did it take him to stand up and say something when the Spanish press said he was going to be sold to Barcelona? And do we like him even more, yes!
Again, stand up and say what you want, mean what you say and don't screw us around! We all pay good money to see you play, wear your number or even read about you, so I say, Just Go Already or shut up!

Calling all Gooners who love to play Fantasy Football!
This is your chance to play the players you'd like to see in your dream team.
The game has been updated and looks great, a little more player friendly and a little more stat info for the die hard.
I have created a mini league called "Tremendous Arsenal" and the password is "wenger." While i'd love to make this a Gooner only league, i'll let the others in to play, just to show them how great we truly are!
Come one, come all Gunners alike!
And remember, "Victory comes from harmony!"

So after writing down that I am concerned about next season I forgot two major players in the squad:
Robin van Persie and Tomas Rocisky.
Yes, how on earth could I not include them in the squad review! Well, maybe if they could last more than a few weeks before breaking down then I would feel more confidant for the upcoming campaign.
Again, I am concerned about how we will last for the length of the season and win the league, or Champions League or even the FA Cup. As I have seen posted on other sites, we need silverware this season.
Keep those fingers crossed!

So there is less than a month to start the new campaign and in looking at the Squad, where do we sit? Cesc is there, joined by Nasri and Ramsey, but is that all? Is Song the answer?
And what about the back line? Will Toure be well enough for the start of the season. Do we care about Gallas? And who else is back there, Senderos? Atleast there is Sagna, but again will he be fit?
Dare we think about up front in this whole thing. Will Adebayor be there, I don't think that Walcott will be upfront and I don't think we can totally rely upon Bendtner.
So while I am still hopefull, I have to really question the ability of this team to succed.
The Carling Cup perhaps, but do we have the depth to prevail through the FA Cup, Champions League or God forbid the UEFA Cup. Let alone the whole Premier League Season.
Fingers crossed, let's hope that there is some silver in our future.

What more can be said. You have been a great part of the team, an upstanding individual that MANY could learn from and you will be missed. Thank you for everythnig you contributed.
Here's to you finishing your career in style and maybe one day gracing Asburton Grove with your prescense.
Good night, good luck and thank you.

I say this for two reason:
Thank God for Pele. Very straight forward comments.
So all I can say is, if you want to leave, then bloody well leave! Go, get lost, screw off, no one wants you anyway. If you can't show some kind of respect for the team, then why play for them at all?!
And stop trying to be all cool about it and using the press to do your dirty work. Be a man, say what you mean, and mean what you say.
