Why hate on the USA all the time?

I understand national pride in rooting for the nation where you were born (you should root for your home till death), but why do people hate on the US team when they reap the benefits of living in this country? I am not saying they have to be your top team but why hate on them? Maybe hate is a strong word but it seams that many don't want to see the USA succeed at all. Thoughts?
