Ronaldo has passed Real medical.
UPDATE: OFFICIAL: Cristiano Ronaldo wears shirt number "9"
Cristiano Ronaldo will be officially presented at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid this evening at 21:00 CET. It is expected that 80,000 fans will fill the stadium and watch the event live. It is also rumored that Ronaldo will wear the number "9" shirt as I previously speculated.
Ronaldo arrived in Madrid this morning and has successfully passed his medical. He is in a great shape and should be able to join the team in their pre-season and summer tour. Marca has a video of his arrival and some of the fans' reactions.
You can follow the event live through the following sites (If I've missed some, please post them in the comments and I'll update the list)
IraqGoals Channel 3 (Via Riotradio on Twitter)
THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN
By 9:00 dozens of fans already lined the walls of the Santiago Bernabeu. The crowd had grown to hundreds only two hours later. Flags, shirts, signs and everything else you can think of to welcome a player who even before his official presentation has become an idol of Madridismo.
LANDED IN MADRID
Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived Madrid, the city in which he will live for at least six years. The player came in a private flight and landed in Torrejon close to 12:30. He will then head to Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital to have his medical examination prior to visiting the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
FIT TO PLAY
Hundreds of members of the media and dozens of fans gathered at Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital to greet Cristiano Ronaldo prior to his medical checkup. According to Carlos Diez, Chief of Real Madrid's Medical Services, the player is "in perfect condition and looking forward to the beginning of the season."
AT THE STADIUM
The expectation couldn't have been any greater as hundreds of sign-carrying, flag-waving Madridistas welcomed Ronaldo to the Santiago Bernabeu. Once inside the facility, he met with Director General and Presidential Aide, Jorge Valdano.
LUNCH AT PUERTA 57
Ronaldo sat down for lunch at Puerta 57, one of the three restaurants located inside the stadium, alongside fellow countryman, idol and friend, Eusebio. The best Portuguese player of all time was invited by Real Madrid to attend Cristiano's presentation and have lunch with the several members of the Ex Players Assocation including Alfredo di Stefano, Amancio, Butragueño, Pachín, Zoco and Santamaría.
Hala Madrid!

Reply to themadridguy:
There seems to be a problem with your countdown.
Check the time on your computer because the presentation will be held at 21:00 CET and the countdown is now '03:32' hours left.
So, in 3 and a half hours you will see the presentation.

Very good presentation so as we expected Ronaldo got 9 ... Benzema presentation is on Thursday I believe
Reply to themadridguy:
He's probably a true Madridista
i would have done the same XD
Reply to Madridista4:
this was the last presentation on the Bernabeu pitch. Subsequent presentations will take place in the presidential balcony!
Reply to Danniel:
what the hell are u talking about man??
Accept him now!! He is one of us now!!
it was priceless when he said one two three HALA MADRIDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!GOD BLESS HIM
What # will Benzema wear now????
Reply to Madridista09:
I think Benzema will eventually end up getting 10 because VDV will most likely be sold and I think if Sneijder stays he will get back 23
Reply to themadridguy:
yes yes....he's great...but he has very low self esteem
Reply to Madridista09:
no 10 ...sneijder 23 and VDV out
Reply to Madridista09:
He can also get RVN's 17
Benzema could get number 23 you know.
If Arbeloa comes he will get 17 most likely
Reply to Danniel:
well he truly is an arrogant player,
but what we need from him is what he brings onto the pitch, not off it!!
Reply to themadridguy:
I'm just making it clear to fellow Madritistas here- I like Ronaldo the player not the person!
He is too arrogant for people's nerves, maybe it's becuz he had a tough childhood!
Is CR9 going to participate in the pre-season training starting from June 10??
Reply to themadridguy:
Hey no probs mate...I respect other people's opinions...that's the whole reason the blog was made aye
Personally I think personality plays an important role in the way players perform.
who watched in on the real madrid tv??? they had tim on there he said...raul is defo goin to start for real madrid :O wtf!!!
Reply to Weezy:
i am praying for our new coach. I just hope Chilian wouldn't commit the same mistake of Juande Ramos. It's the time to see no.7 being currently benched.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
i sure hope so...benzema or higuain should start up front or both of them....at longest raul doesnt start i dont mind...its not that i hate him but this is good for the team....we cant jus start with raul jus bcuz hes "mr real madrid" and all the things he done in the past and that hes a captain...casillias should be captain. in the past 2 or 3 years when heas raul scored a goal for madrid when they realy needed it?? all i remember is higuain always rescue madrid
CR is finally with us. We'd spending the whole summer to chase him and ending up with a tragic season. Not being a big fan of CR9, i would like to say something fair. We shouldn't judge a player's actually ability with prejudice and stereotype. let's wait until we actually see how he plays on the pitch and forget about all some stupid crap screwing around with how he acts off the pitch. it's funny for some people him making complimenting gago and drenthe but critisizing the FIFA World player without even watching him plays. This is so stupid.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
*some pple making compliments to ...
Hey people what do u think about this?? I think this year we should concentrate on winning the CL only as it is the trophy we have not won for a long time and need REALLY bad!!
Also the CL final is gonna be in the Bernabeu this year. That's an added incentive to focus on the CL over La Liga.
About La Liga we can let it go as we had already won it back to back 2 seasons ago.
So what I'm saying is we should Focus on the CL rather than the La Liga and if we happen to do well in the league too, it will be an added bonus.
But we should not do it like last season when we put more emphasis on the domestic league and neglected CL, and in the end, ended up winning nothing, lol!
Reply to Weezy:
God help the youngsters Higuain,Benzema and Huntelaar with their careers if Raul is gonna start!!
I mean what is wrong with Perez?? Didn't Raul criticize the Galactico I era of Perez??? That should have been enough I think for Raul to get the boot!! But no, Raul has become our Jesus!!
It is all because of the local Madrid citizens I tell ya, they think he is their son, brother, father etc.lol!
Michel Salgado should retire...He's turning 34 soon...
Salgado and Guti should retire. Raul will retire in 2010
Reply to themadridguy:
Zidane was mad when Perez sold Makelele and got overrated David Beckham....
Raul still has it though, he cant play as he used to. But Raul has technique, he has 300+ goals for a reason huh?
Reply to themadridguy:
i hope our coach is more brave and benchs raul like Luis aragoniss didd!...he should do whats best for the team....juande didnt have the balls to drop raul!
Reply to Madridista09:
We still need Raul in the CL..
Experience is indeed needed and no one EVER scored more goals in CL than him!
See Arsenal, they are always the 4th in the league and never get to the final of CL (except that other year when Leahman was their GK).. Why?? Because they have NO experienced players.. all youngsters..
Man Utd, have experienced players and they r at the final of the CL all the time..
We NEED Raul till Higuin becomes the new angel of madrid.
Reply to SaramiR:
We had Raul for the past 6 years....where is that fricking trophy huh?!!!!!
I hope Pellegrini is packing some huge nuts down there cause Schuster and Ramos seem to have had a split
Reply to realfreak:
Yeah SaramiR's logic totally contradicts himself!!
Raul is just a burden the Real Madrid team has to carry on its shoulders!!
Reply to realfreak:
You are so wrong...Raul has been playing in the first team for 14 years not 6.
You know what he has won? 6 La Liga,3 Champions League, 4 Spanish Super cups, 1 Uefa super cup, 2 intercontinental cups.
2 pichichi. Everyone knows Raul should had won Ballon d'or in 2001....
Raul can be the old Raul again. My dream is to see him play with Spain again.
Hala Raul!
I hope Pelligrini has the balls to play the youngsters and if he has to bench C Ronaldo or Kaka then bench them.
In order to win, we need depth! If we sell all the dutchies then who will be the subs? Javi Garcia? Dani Parejo?
We need to keep either VDV or Sneijder and Robben. yes robben, he can be a super sub.I believe Sneijder could work with Lass. he can be that deep lying playmaker in the 4-2-3-1.
We need to keep Sneijder and keep Robben if we fail to get Ribery and also since RVN is likely gone we need Huntelaar to stay because we will need a goal scorer like him.. how come Negredo and Garay are not on Real Madrid official squad yet I understand they were on loan but dont contract end of June.. LINK
Reply to Madridista4:
I heard Garay could leave since he might not get a chance in Pelligrini's system. About Negredo, hmm real madrid could use him in a deal though.
Lol @ Guti,C Ron, and Higuain in those pics...
Fiorentina want Garay:LINK
BTW dont loan's end on 30th of June?
Reply to themadridguy:
we have 6 strikers now including Negredo. Valdono did mention that the new signing will be given priority in the 1st XI so that means Raul and RVN are gonna sit on the bench. Last time if i remember correctly during the 1st galatico, Raul was a bench warmer when his form down. So i hope the starting XI would be choose according to players performance. Even for the two world record signing players which i doubt any other players who at this moment can replace them.
Reply to Madridista09:
this is absurb man, he definitely deserves to start if he could play like he used to be at 6 years ago. But in the recent 5 years, he played shit!! u don't look way back then to judge a current player. He can't catch up with the rhythm most of the time. he should be benched.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
you can't be so biased on this issue. i respect about what've done for us before. BUt right now he is contributing to an obstacle for some young talent. If he is willing to sacrifice his playing time like Del Piero, he deserves more respect. you have to accept the fact that his form doesn't allow him to kick back to his peak level no more.
Reply to Madridista09:
The new system is gonna built around Kaka and CR9.they should play as much as possible in order to form a new system with new style as soon as possible. There is no need to bench them unless they are injuried or need to rest. This is a joke to bench one of them while starting Raul under regular circumstances. We need Raul's experience when there is no point to rely a guy as our key of attack while he cannot even keep the pace with others.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
Im not being biased, in some other articles i wrote that Raul should be benched. What bothers me is people talking shit about Raul, when they dont know what Raul has done for Real Madrid.
I certainly dont think that Raul now has the speed to keep up with the new system.
Guys, let stop arguing bout Raul. He is a legend!! He is one of the top scorer in Real Madrid last season with 24 goals. But admit it that he is no longer attractive in his playing style. IMO its the reasons some of the blogger here are so discontent having him play all the game. He does not dribble, he is not that agile as before and he is not fast.
RM has signed "presumably" more attractive and fascinating players to play next season. This what all the fan are looking forward, "an attractive team with players could fascinate others".
Surely enough that the new signing will definitely be in the 1st XI and Raul could play and maybe will warm the bench, we will never know since the season has not yet started but my guess is he definitely going to start for the opening game and slowly reduces his playing time to pave way for other players. For this i assume its not depends on Pellgrime balls to bench Raul or not but it will be Perez (Heirro as example) but i trust Perez will make a good judgment on Raul case. Anyway, to bench him or not to bench is only known when the season kick off.
for those who missed the presentation you can watch it here:LINK
Well Raul was good and he will be remembered but changes always come around.
Reply to Madridista09:
yeah i no man, nothing offensive!! i also respect him so much and i looked him as the hero for years but i really hope that he can step back to let some young talents taking over. he can remain as the spirit of the team even though he is benched. He will still be the one who holds the 10 th CL cup for us next time.
Reply to RMFantasy:
i agree, we have to look forward. Higuain and Benzema represent a generational takeover. more importantly, it doesn't matter if raul DOESN'T dribble and run, but it matters if Mr.legend CANNOT dribble and run .
Absolutely golden comment dude
Reply to Madridista09:
Oh please! There is hardly a more famous player than Raul at Real Madrid. People recognise what he has done for us - but also what he has done TO us!
It is incredibly detrimental to turn washed up players into living legends. They live in a bubble of their own. They are unable to see the truth because every one keeps telling them they are 'legends'.
What happens then is that they start to believe they are as important as the club. Their personal priorities start taking over club objectives. Scoring 20 goals a season - just to prove that you still got it - becomes more important than winning matches.
Just like Muhamad Ali, Raul still believes he's got another couple of seasons left in him. It's going to be painful watching him do a rope a dope, ambling around the field, desperately trying to connect with anything that lands inside the penalty box, dragging his knuckles around the pitch, tongue hanging out ...
For a while people will still say "He's playing good", but fans are fickle. The newspapers can turn on anyone, no matter how famous you may be. Raul's popularity is currently supported by these 2 fickle factors. When the tide turns against him it will be devastating. Boos will ring out in the stadium. Slated in the press. Made a laughing stock.
He's done plenty of harm to Real Madrid. His biggest mistake was to believe the hype about himself. That comes from a lack of intelligence and an over blown ego. It is a human tragedy. But we need to get shot of him as soon as possible.
For the love of the club.
Remember what happened to Fernando Hierro!
He thought he was in a position to start making decisions. Del Bosque wasn't man enough to tell him that WASN'T his job. Both were fired.
Interestingly they are both working for the Spanish Federation - this time Hierro is Del Bosque's boss!
See how important it is to have connections in Spain?
But Real Madrid is about being the best. Order. Decorum.
Not about having friends in high places.
Raul has clearly not learned from the lesson of Fernando Hierro.
Reply to Caracoleo:
I think Raul has done a good job of keeping himself grounded - he's always been humble and spoken sensible words off the pitch.
You may not like him as a player because he can't run 100 metres in 12 seconds anymore, but you can't fault his attitude.
If only more of the players had his attitude, we wouldn't have any problems.
Reply to EvoLtc:
what exactly has he done to us that is so bad anyway? Score lots of goals? what a bastard, he should be ashamed!
If there is a guy who really know what happening with real madrid and who really understands the meaning of madrismo rather than raulismo than it's Caracoleo ....u just won my respect dude.u know guys it is really sad to see raul dragging himself all over the pitch with no certain ambition.
raul is not good anymore, dunno why,, he just lost his form since about 4 or 5 years ago. he was so awesome in the galacticos era I, but last season all he had done was just clapping around during a match !! seriously, whats up wit him now!
!!!)
i think he doesnt mean dat hes getting older,, i mean look at RVN, he still kick ass before he had his long term injury...
but i kno raul can really show his finishing skills, remember da hat-trick against Sevilla....and it WASNT a luck.,, which one of my friends said so... (how stupid
Reply to the new visitor:
*it doesnt mean
Reply to EvoLtc:
i agree wit dat too... but i dont think bout raul too much.. as long as we have good players this season
,, and we'll see what will happen..
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
It's not stupid...I think it is more stupid blindly saying he's awesome just because he won the FIFA World player.Although he tends not to perform in big matches...nobody can argue he's not an excellent player. But just like everybody else...he has big defects...and I beleive it is his personality.
Gago and Drenthe might not be as good as Ronaldo YET...(Ronaldo's first years at United were a disaster)...but they already have a way better personality than Ronaldo does...and it DOES have an effect on the pitch.
Reply to Danniel:
daniel what make u say he is not a big game player!!!didnt he scored against chelsea in the fianl, twice against arsenal in semi and and against roma who ripped us twice last year...sorry but u dont make any sense just like someone said hating and insulting ronaldo wont make us a better person!!!we thrashed barcelona last year with messi playing so does this mean he is a big game flop.barca also lost to manu last year in semi but no one said messi flopped but instead they blammed ronaldo for not scoring..
Reply to Caracoleo:
wow mate...nice!
when you get somthing new its shiney but when it comes ware and rusty it looses its shine ...thats what has happend to raul..he has lost hes shine hes in the team from hes reputation not in hes form...maybe people in madrid dont want to believe that they have lost raul maybe they still think he can do it#? but the truth is he isnt what he use to be....he needs to pave the way for a onther legind in the making...HIGUAIN..
Reply to trooper:
ronaldo use to be a big game flop 2 years ago...but the past 2 years he has jus been amazing
Reply to Madridista09:
WOW!!!! all that and NO World Cup?!!!!
U got it twisted bro...i know raul has been with us long but when last did we win CL? was it not around 2002? how long has it been since we got out the last 16!!! u hear that..... 16!!!!!
Time for change!!! he and guti and salgado need to realise that....if he starts it will be HALA NOTHING MADRID!!!!
Reply to realfreak:
what makes you think thats Raul's fault?

Emm try to understnd the difference...PLEASE
I said Ronaldo has good and bad things like everyone else...nobody's perfect...even if you win a Balon D'Or.If you conside me saying Ronaldo is an excellent player...insulting...than yes I was insulting him.
Also as far as I'm concerned...last year we got trashed by Barcelona...and not the other way round.

Legend making huh? nowadays theres no such thing in Real Madrid,Higuain will be sold just like they did to Robinho
if not this summer then maybe next summ, and lokk at this nonsence, the Bernabeu was filled up to its limit yesterday just to see one man,and during the season only 5 or 6 games the fans fill the stadium, this really shameful
and for the last time **** everyone blaming Raul
Transfer Update; According to reports Bayern have set a 9 day deadline for Real Madrid to make a bid.. also according to reports we have set a 2 week deadline to get Xabi Alonso.. Manchester United are interested in Huntelaar.. Blackburn have dropped their interest for RVN because of his wages
Mirror says we have made a bid around 6 million for Arbeloa

No f**** way are we paying Bayern 80 million pounds this year!!!!
I think if we want him, we should go for him next season but even then it should be no more than 40 million pounds!!
And plz Perez go for Ashley Cole instead of Ribery, becuz we desperately need a Galactico player in LB position.
About Raul: ditch Alfredo di Stefano as honorary president of RM, as his health is failing and replace him with Raul. jajajajajajaja
Then both Raul lovers and haters are happy!!!
Reply to Danniel:
"Gago and Drenthe may not be as good as Ronaldo yet.." Don't tell me u seriously think they are gonna be as good as Ronaldo in the future and win Ballon 'd Or's!!
Cuz this assumption is totally ABSURD and FOOLISH to say the least!!!
Gago and Drenthe have a better personality than CR9??? Mate, let me tell U personality has nothing to with footballing success!!!
If we want to go for personality- we might as have Mr. Barack Obama or Oprah as our star player!!!
Reply to themadridguy:

Any body know why nobody is talikng about Heinze and Gago leaving RM???? For me they were the 2 worst players of last season along with Raul.
If the worst performing players are rewarded with an extended stay while better performing players like Robben,Huntelaar and RVN are shown the door, then frankly it is a DISGRACE on Real Madrid's part!!
Reply to Madridista4:
Why is De la Red still shown on the squad??
He is confirmed out for the whole season.
Reply to MadridistAli:
mate, I have to tell u the news that it was FREE to enter the stadium for Ronaldo's presentation yesterday....
So u can stop blaming the Madridistas!!

Well well, it looks like Robben and Sneijder are staying now. Valdano has confirmed that the prices that Bayern and Liverpool have demanded are way off their evaluation and budget. Silva's not leaving Valencia either by the looks of it. Sneijder keeps his spot as playmaker and Robben as winger? Lets see.
Reply to Caracoleo:
You really know how to set them straight dude, very very well-said. Truth is, I LOVE Raul, you can tell by my screen-name but the point we're trying to make is, he has way too much control over what goes on at the club, none of you can deny that. He's held the likes of Higuain, Huntelaar and Saviola for ages. We all need to know our limits and he's no martian that he doesn't obey the rules. He is a legend - true, but is he really still anywhere near good enough to merit a spot in the starting XI. I used to be just like all these guys, thinking my idol would return, but this Raul is making the Raul I loved look bad. And don't say he scored 20 goals, I guarantee you if that was RVN, he would've hit 30. It's his job to goal-poach and I would've been worried had he not scored at least 20 goals. Every great moment comes to an end. I just hope Pellegrini has the balls to bench Raul. Hala Madrid!
According to a report we are intersted in Sporting Gijon left back Canella who is 21 years old .. same thing as Marcelo who is very young and is promising maybe and experencied left back would be the best way for us because our defense is very young with Sergio Ramos, Pepe, and Albiol.. The other day we were being mentioned with Ashley Cole

Now that Ribery is out of the picture, what do u think about Jesus Navas of Sevilla for Real Madrid??
Reply to themadridguy:
Navas has way too many problems. He has home-sickness , and a very bad case of it. He's left the Spain training camp many times and refuses to go to many away games. He's too much of a risk, i'd much rather keep Robben.
Reply to themadridguy:
I dont think that we need to buy him we need to keep Robben if Ribery is not coming
Reply to EvoLtc:
I disagree and here is why:
1) After getting dropped by Aragones he proceeded to point at his name at the back of his shirt every time he scored for Madrid, no matter how rubbish he was playing. This was a clear challenge to Aragones, and he was getting some revenge for being dropped. Worse still, he was trying to start a public wave of antipathy towrds the Spanish coach for just daring to drop Raul. Personally I thought that was nothing but pathetic and undignified.
2) He filtered rumours and lies about Robinho to the press, saying he arrived at work drunk. Untrue. And the management never disciplined Robinho for that because it was untrue. The news was filtered by a club 'captain.'
3) He didn't stay and applaud Cannavaro at his last game. Clearly showing that he wasn't interested team harmony - just himself.
Not a good influence. Needs to go as soon as possible.
Reply to TheAngelOfMadrid:
Well I didn't know he was a child at heart....
Thanks for enlightening me!!
A misc. kit question- when do we get to see the real madrid UCL kits??
Reply to Caracoleo:
2) thats he only thing that akes me hate Raul coz i appreciate Robinho more than him,but i believe that he really came drunk one day then Capello removed him from the squad list against Deportivo
Reply to MadridistAli:
Yeah man I agree on Robinho part, Robinho is no Angel!!
Reply to themadridguy:
Gago and Drenthe will never score as mny goals as Ronaldo did...because they are not that type of players...so it's very difficult for them to win the Balon D'Or.
However I don't exclude Gago being as good as Pirlo...and Drenthe as good as Malouda (these are just two examples). Also I am not saying they WILL be that good...but they MIGHT be that good...which is completel different.
Lastly as for pesonality I insist that personality does make a big difference. Look at Robinho at Man City...look at what a bad second half of the season he had just because he showed up late for training and hadproblems with the coach...s YES it does have a big influnce.
Reply to themadridguy:
There was talk about Heinze leaving earlier...and I think (and hope) he will leave soon. As for Gago I don't think he's leaving, and nobody said he has a chance of leaving except for people on this blog...Perez might see something in Gago that you don't
An off the pitch question: are Kaka and Ronaldo's families moving to Madrid this season??
Reply to themadridguy:
He is an angel,he only made this mistake and believe me in the near future Real Madrid will regret selling Robinho
Reply to Danniel:
hey dude chill out!! i ain't saying that "u are stupid or something"!! honestly, i don't think the FIFA World Player award refers to a "PERFECT PLAYER" cuz there is no one, no single football player in the world can be perfect. However, i do believe this award starts out how level a player is at. CUz i believe those bastards who voted for him are not retarded. They could be way more knowledgible than u and me in football. for his CR9's attitude, nobody has to like in this part, i don't like his arrogancce too but i think i don't mind if he can prove his value ON THE PITCH. don't say something that HAS NOT YET happened. whether this folk is a big game player, i will say he is if he is in form like 07/08. if i happen to be a hater of this guy, i think iwill be more aggressive than u are, cuz he never stepped up for my national team like Luis Figo did. But i won't doubt his ability. THe reason i pointed out Gago and Drenthe is becuase we'd already witnessed their horrible performances, especially for gago, he has been with us for 2.5 years and i don't see any indication implies that he would have a tremendous improvement like what u said. CR played way better in 05/06. I crtisized them cuz i saw them play bad with RM jersey, i don't critisize on CR cuz i HAVEN'T SEEN him play with his no.9 jersey YET. so i won't be stupid enough to use prejudice to mislead my judgment. but this doesn't mean i won't if he plays bad. I am not a CR fan, but a real madrid one. ANd i always welcome world class to my team but not for those who are not yet in real madrid level. Even they tryna play hard or whatever, there is still no impact but harm(technically). and i ain't "blindly saying he's awesome just because he won the ..." i think a guy has a little a little sense about football knows this guy is a awesome player. be careful dude, im saying when he is on the pitch. actually i don't think if he is a PLAYBOY or sth if he can contribute 100% to my team ON THE PICH.
Valdano is stupid,he said that another one or two midfielders transfers to close the window,WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? we already have enough midfielders we need a world class LB Valdan LINK
P.S: where's Zidane he wasn't in the picture during the presentation of Kaka,Albiol and C.Ronaldo

And don't dare say he is better than messi, but i don't think if there is anyone who doubts CR's ability on football regardless to his offpitch attitude.

first of all Chelsea is a low class team just like Man City they are using money for their glory, second C.Ronaldo plays really bad against big clubs not always though

to be honest he is better than Messi in overall he is better in everything except he cant dribble as good as Messi, but he's strong, faster, good accuracy, can shoot freekicks with ease, score goals with his head,Messi was just better than him last season thats all

A poem? Anyway, in my opinion let Raul rot at madrid. After all he's done to this club he deserve a lasting place here. He may not be what he used to be, but he's still our Raul. Real Madrid's captain. Real Madrid para el corazón. @MadridistAli He's not like Mijatovic. Pedja's face is all over the place. Or Zizou is just camera shy these days. Either that or he just trying to hold himself not headbutting kaka or kid ronaldo chest for not picking nombre 5.
Training starts on Friday and Ronaldo and Benzema will be with the team here is what the official website says..
Real Madrid will start training again on 10 July
Carlos Cristobal / Translation by Michael J. O'Donnell
Real Madrid must think of the future, of a very exciting campaign in which they want to achieve something great for all Madridismo. The team will start preparing for this on 10 July.
Manuel Pellegrini will have his first two training sessions at Valdebebas this weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema will also join the rest of the team for the first time. The entire squad -save for Casillas, Ramos, Albiol and Kaka, who are still on holiday- will leave for Ireland on 13 July, where they will be training between the 14th and 22nd of the same month. They will face current Irish champions Shamrock Rovers on their last day.
The team will return to Madrid to participate in the Peace Cup between 26 July and 2 August, the latter being the date for the tournament final in Seville. The Whites are scheduled to play in Toronto and Washington DC on 7 and 9 August, respectively, before facing Borussia in Dortmund on the 19th. Finally, Real Madrid will clash with Milan in the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy on 25 August.

I wrote he is an excellent player...what better praise can I give him about the way he plays? I only said he doesn't play as well in big matches...(which include the matches in the natonal team). But apart from that I do think he can cause harm in the dressing room...that's all I'm saying.

But i dont think he will accept leaving La Liga for BundesLiga

He's worried he may not be first 11 all the time. With VFB Stuttgart loosing Mario Gómez, he'll be leading striker for sure. Still..i just felt like we lost another gem. There goes my dream of seeing both most wanted young star of last season playing together.
Reply to Madridista4:
Going to Stuttgart or Manchester United, hard descision.
I hope Huntelaar get's to decide where he goes, he should go to England, he is worthy of the best. In my opinion England still has the best league in the world. La Liga is a 2 team competition. Wonder if that will ever change.
I can't stand the Italian competition, I'd prefer the German over the Italian any day. So he's too skilled for the German competition, Italian competition is too crappy, England will be his choice if he gets to decide, I think (hope).

of course everyone has defects. It only matters how it affects a player's overall performances. in this regard, just simply look at our CL games during the last couple of seasons, i dare say none of our players play in CR's level when it came to big game. I am glad u know that he is an excellent player. who can be perfect?? even Pele and Maradona couldn't be. this is absurb to judge a world class new comer who hasn't performed one single game with our RM jersey. whether or not he can harm the dressing room, i can't discuss with u cuz i haven't been there b4, i guess u don't too. so i won't be able to see how the atmosphere is . based on the rumors, Raul is a dictator but i ain't dare say shit about it cuz i can't tell whether it's true or not. And now u are saying CR is "harming" the dressing room??? it sounds funny cuz he hasn't even had one single match with us yet. is it kind of too early to judge a player??? while u keep saying somone u beleive on those who HAVE ALREADY played bad for a long time MIGHT have potential to improve. In termss of likihood of occuring, CR is more LIKELY to play good in Bernabeu but those what so called POTENTIAL folks are more likely to stand still for awhile. ANd if u judge on a player with sth that hasn't occured yet. Anything can happen.

I'd rather see him play for Stuttgart.
At least he has a guaranteed place there unlike at Man Utd where he would have to compete with Raul's old age home mate Michael Owen..
Death to Man Utd and Barcelona!!
Reply to MadridistAli:
It's really hard to define which is better between them. Messi played better last season when CR played better in 08/09. It's so depending on their forms. But i agree with ur technical analysis between them .
Reply to MadridistAli:

Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
Once again...you don't fully read wht I write mate...
I said he can cause harm...and not he WILL cause harm...which means there is a very good chance of this happening...but it won't necessarily happen.
Also, when I can't understand why you said this..."CR7 is more LIKELY to play good in Bernabeu" because I said he's excellent.
Reply to Danniel:
simple mate, excellent players are more likely to play excellent football while 2nd tier players can only play 2nd tier football no matter how hard they play. logically, it makes sense. FOr the dressing room issue. It could happen but it won't necessarily be happening like wut u said. And does Raul's playing time indicates that he is a dictator in the dressing room?? i think it "might" be too.
Reply to themadridguy:
I just want to see him play for a good team, not some German team that can't compete for any prices. His talent must be used for good purposes. Like Robinho, he's now playing for some awful English team with a lot of money, I wish Huntelaar to do better and play for a better team. The Italian competition is best suited for Huntelaar, but I dislike the way they play. The German competition is not good enough for him. I mean obviously he can do better if Manchester United and AC Milan are interested. Only reason Madrid is letting go of him is cause of Perez's anti-Holland policy, which will haunt Madrid sooner or later. Holland is known for great players like Cruyff, Bergkamp, Van Basten. These kind of players might be pushed in the direction of Barcelona for good. Barca is trying to imitate the Dutch football style from the 70's, complete football and it's brought them success, Cruyff initiated this first when he was coach there and won CL I think. They wouldn't be where they are now if not for the Dutch, yet we push them away. I've seen their youngsters play against Germany beating them 4-0 (and they are supposed to be the current world champions u-21?), crazy talent!
That would be the u-21 European champions. In Germany the Germans got their assess kicked with 0-4.
And now they are European champions, something is off there.
Reply to RMFantasy:
For all bloggers, first of all, I am not a man
I'm a girl named Sara
Second of all, as RMFantasy said, Raul is a legend and we MUST NOT talk shit about him.. He scores.. He fights on the pitch.. And sometimes I feel like he's the only one who cares for the "honor" of the club in the damn pitch..
Should he be benched? Definitely... That's life.. That's career of football.. Should we say all these bad things about a legend? HELL NO!
Last season, Ramos didn't bench Raul for 2 reasons:
1. Ramos leaned on Raul on managing the team => Coach problem.
2. Raul gave a fighting spirit in the pitch that was needed. Don't tell me it was Higuin who saved us.. Yes, Higuin scored but the fighting spirit was Raul's. Go watch the matches again and check for yrself.
About Perez, I read it somewhere, he said: "when Raul retires, he'll be my vice president"
On the Christiano presentation also I found a HUGEEEEEEEE poster for Raul on the pitch..
So, I don't think Perez will cut off Raul and "lose" him as a friend.. He would be VERY VERY smart and cautious when dealing with him and believe me, you'll see one of the two scenarios next season:
1. Raul benched. Stars in CL 2nd halves and classicos.
2. Raul renewed and like the world class player he used to be.
But with Pelligrini and Perez, you won't see Raul on the pitch because he's Raul.
Please guys, don't talk bad about Raul because he simply doesn't deserve anything but appreciation and a thank you. Any other decision that made him un-benched when he should have, is simply not his fault. Weak management is not his fault.
Since liverpool are asking too much for Xabi Alonso we are in negotiations to sign De Rossi from Roma.. LINK

Agree. I second it.
Valdano has confirmed in an interview with Marca that their priority is somebody to partner Lassana Diarra. This means that we will play one of two formations, 4-2-3-1 (very likely) or the 4-2-2-2 (highly unlikely). So basically, Higuain is benched
Hopefully, Robben stays and becomes Ronaldo's wing-buddy. I really think they'd interchange well and we'd have Higuain to back-up that position as well. I can't wait for pre-season to start, I think we have a friendly somewhere around the 16th-18th with an Irish club. Hala Madrid!
Something I really noticed and liked about pellegrini. He's so confident in the way he talks and has a very positive way of thinking; never hesitant.
I'm saying this after seeing his past press conferences.
Valdano also says they'd settly with one or two more MIDFIELDERS. WTF!? This means either somebody's switching to left-back or Marcelo's first choice
I guess we can afford two wing-backs if we plan on playing a double-pivot again. I actually feel Garay or Momo Diarra would make good left-backs, we could try them out. If my calculations are correct, we're bound to have 32 players in the squad which means 7 players are getting axed...

Raul's fighting spirit is just another part of the myth.
Do you have fighting spirit if you give away the ball more than any other player?
Do you have fighting spirit if you get tackled more than any other player?
Do you have fighting spirit if you just hobble around the field like an old age pensioner who has just had a hip replacement?
Say hello to Raul 2009!
I'm referring to the stuff he said after he was appointed as Madrids Coach aswell.
Reply to Caracoleo:
Man, can we move away from Raul now??
I've had enough of talk about him and it is clear that nobody is gonna change their opinion. So why don't we just move on and save our energies for the new season when he actually starts in the XI and leads the team to defeat.
Then we will have even more reason to curse him.
Reply to Madrids_Martyr:
You can never tell!
Just wait for the season to start and then we'll see.
Reply to Caracoleo:
These are your 3 big reasons why you hate him so much? Lol.
So what if he points at his back? It's only a celebration. He kisses his wedding ring as well - does that he he secretly only loves his wife and hates the team?
And you're jumping to protect Robinho as the model of professionality? not a very good defense my friend.
And yet you balance these as your 3 big reasons why you don't like Raul against the plain fact that he gives his all for the team when he's on the pitch in incredibly unselfish play over and over.
You're on very weak ground - what's you REAL reason why you hate him so much? C'mon I goota know the truth here. Are you Portillo's brother or something?
Reply to Caracoleo:
Can you form a reasonable argument? Where are your facts? I don't think I've ever seen you put one together on this subject, you just always go into a rage.
You can be old and still have a fighting spirit you know.
well as long as raul fighting spirit doesnt become a burden on the team i am happy..it's been three years i watching real madrid play with 10 players on the field while the opponent plays with 11 men.honestly watchin raul play these days r really embarrasing for any true MADRISTA but always a pleasure for raulistas. do u know guys what zizou said before retiring?????he said that he feels that he is not good enough for the team spot and wants someone better to take that position.
Hey Madridistas, can we just stop talking shit and arguing about Raul in each and every post about Real Madrid. Raul is my fav player but I am not going to try make others change their opinion about him. I don't care what others think of him. So now please stop fighting about Raul.
give a lot of credit to perez and his crew on their negotiating skills. Besides signing Kaka and CR9, they don't waste time to chase targets when their club doesn't wanna set them for sale. Valencia set crazy price on Villa and we didn't hesitate to insist planB, which ends up signing a younger benzema. Similar senario comes to Xabi Alonso and Ribery(some "bonus" for the new galactico but not sth in need). at least they don't hesitate to reject the ridicuous price set up by Liverpool and Bayern. hopefully the De Rossi bid can be straigthened out smoothly.
real madrid well sign a left back...most likelly cannella and problly 2 midfielders lol and that be it for the season

The facts pretty much speak for themselves. Just check the stats. The fewest interventions, the highest rate of possession loss, as someone esle said it is embarrassing.
I want to see a Real Madrid that is young a nd vigorous. I am against players being chosen on the basis of their past achievements. I am against younger, more talented players seeing their progression blocked.
How do they feel when week after week the coach picks someone who can barely pass the ball properly? How motivating for them is that? Saying that does no harm to the team is just incredibly naive.
Raul survives thanks to the press. Other players get booed the minute they miss a pass. Raul gets applauded for his 'fighting spirit' even though he only touched the ball a dozen times. I think that is doing harm to the team spirit.
You want to fill the squad with aging geriatrics - or 'legends' as you might say. Why get rid off Hugo Sanchez? He still put the ball in the back of the net. Why sell Roberto Carlos? He is a legend!
You might want to go down this avenue, but I certainly won't be cheering you on.

Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
Absloutely. They have dealt with the Villa and Ribery cases impecably.
They set a maximum price and stuck to it. They are clearly NOT going to pay 80 million Euros for Ribery.
Secondly noone can accuse them of destabilising players. It was Real Madrid who told Ribery to shut up and act like a professional. It was Real Madrid who borke off contact with Valencia and stated that they were not interested in the player at that price.
Florentino has acted decisively and according to a clear criteria.
Well done.

it wasn't anybody's mistake...it was total team mistake. so stop fighting among urselves. higuain , benzema , raul all will play next season. cuz huntalaar will go....he has to go for 2 reason :
we don't have enough space in the squad, n perez need some money to recover . and under present circumstances , even i was perez i would try my best to sell huntalaar . Reply to EvoLtc:
To be honest I usually don't need to drag up statistics to decide whether a player has had a good game or not. "Duuuh, did he have a good game? Duuhhh, let me see the statistics and then I'll tell you..."
Nevertheless ESPN has some stats:
LINK
Also after each match AS has the stats of each player, and I swear to God, they let Raul off the hook a hell of a lot in those summaries.
But it is not all about stats. It's about making a contribution on the pitch. And Raul''s contribution finished a long time ago.
I remember the start of this guy's career, and could never imagine how far he would fall, and take Real Madrid with him.
We can only pray that Florentino puts things right.
Now look at Raul's stats compared to Higuain's - and remember Raul played more games and more minutes!
LINK
There is a CLEAR difference. Also remember that Higuain DOESN'T play for his national team - yet some people here call for Del Bosque, Raul's old mate, to include him in the Spain squad!
Reply to MadridistAli:
Bench him? No way!
I'd like to bury him in concrete!

so did u mean Raul should be a starter for next season??? did u mean that we have to start him no matter what just to give him chances to go back to the national team??? i tell u straight up!! this is absurb and native. I dare u a side bet. Raul WILL NOT be chosen by del bosque for the world cup squad, unless Villa is injuried. Be objective on judging players. who doesn't know Raul is a legend?? but his form definitely shows that he can't catch up with real madrid anymore. I 100% suggest to bench him but i am not a Raul hater, not necessarily be. Anyone with some basic knowledge about football knows that Raul ain't that hero anymore. NOt supporting Raul means not supporting real madrid?? give me a break man. I am glad u know that real madrid is a team, is a unity, but not a team built for Raul. We thank him and honor him for what he had done for us. But he had constantly been playing below average football for 5 more years. He should step back and let the young players in.

Reply to Danniel:
hey dude, i think u've messed up something. Players like CR, Eto, and Mata have never been rated as 2 tier players. They had ALREADY contain the quality to be great players when they had their career started. SO is messi, iniesta, or benzema. I think u have problem evaluating a player's ability since u always blend "quality" and "maturity" together. Those players u mention didn't play as great as they are now ONLY because they lack of experience. They were still world class. when CR arrived Old Traford, he was only 18, way younger than Drenthe and Gago when they'd arrived. U would like to name the young CR, Messi, Eto, mata and iniesta etc as "immature world class players". and pay attention to this part, none of them were initially USED without the guidiance of "mature world class players" that's something our last year squad were lacking. ANd i haven't said this 1000 times. You don't take risk to use young players while THERE IS NO ONE in ur current squad can lead the team up. That can ruin the youth's confidence so badly. mate, i also suggest u to learn how to distinguish 2nd tier with experience and world class players without experience. NO one is born great, no doubt, but it's better for us to know how to identify who is great. i dare say that with the squad we had last season, we would never reach to the CL final no matter how long we are using the same bullshit system and same coach.

Same thing goes for Eto'o and Mata...if they looked like they actually have potential...they would have not got rid of them.(You can also add Cambiasso who left for free...and look at how good he is now)
Our young players can't start in the team...but they should not be sold either....the system should be just like Barca's...slowly integrate them in the team

So is Eto, he was awesome in Mallorca in 02-3 but perez wouldn't turn his head on those quality players who can't help him to sell jerseys. That's why Perez was critisized. We didn't even turn our head on those who were on loan or those who were from Castilla, how would they pay attention to some unknown youngster from Sporting Lisboa??? that was Perez' administration's fault but it doesn't mean CR didn't show his talent and potential. it was arrongant Fergie who dedicate on signing him. and he wasn't a free agent so he couldn't have chosen where he could go. Fergie spent more than 10 mil pounds for him. It's ridiculous to say CR wasn't a quality young player just because we didn't sign him at that time. So are mata and eto, mata was fantastic in castilla, he was the no.10 owner. He was a key player in Spain U-17, no potential??? where did u get this from mate?? Eto had scored 15+ goals per season from 01-04. He was already showing his potential at that time. He was already the key in the national team in world cup 2002. They didn't want him back cuz Ronaldo was on fire at that time. U can say they were not potential or great or whatever ONLY because we didn't keep them. That's our own mistake both Perez and Calderon had commited. BUt at least Perez could rely some world class players to lead the team why Calderon had done nothing. and u gotta look at the way that Barcelona integrate their youth players, so is Man Utd, when CR made his debut in ManU, they are already having a steady system led by Giggs and RVN. They are a world class team and they don't get KO in early in CL; Barcelona integrated Messi and Iniesta while they still had Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto, Xavi, and Giuely. they were already a CL winning team in 05/06. What about us????
Finally people seeing Rauls problem. I'm so happy people are finally relizing this.
Hala Madrid

we were nothing but a 2nd tier team in Europe. We were good enough to clim over the group stage but we couldn't go any farther. We didn't have mature world class player like they did to lead the young players. We didn't have a current system to integrate the young players. That's why we have to bring in world class player to establish our own system with our own style.

i am a portuguese but i knew ricardo quaresma more than CR b4 the later went to ManU. It was his dream to join Real Madrid. But there was no way he could draw perez attention. It doesn't mean he was showing his potential. Fergie wouldn't have signed him if he was nothing. and the signing concept in the last 3 years of galactico I was just a joke. You can make this as the standard to judge those players they rejected as 2 tier. that's just your own guess mate but not the actual case. CR was immediately chosen by Scolari to the Euro 2004 squad and took over Simao's spot just with one year of performance in Man Utd. I don't think a 2nd tier can transform to another level in such a short period of time. same story goes to the young Eto and Mata, saying they were 2nd tier ONLY BECAUSE we closed the door to them was totally absurd and ridiculous.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
*id doesn't mean he was NOT showing his potential.
why would fergie sign a 2nd tier player for ???
you gotta know how to distinguish between "immature potential quality player" and "mature 2nd tier player".
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
we could have signed Kaka in low price b4 he went to San Siro, but they refused to sign him ONLY becuase his name kaka had disgraceful meaning. does this have anything to do with football?? was kaka a 2nd tier?? wasn't he showing his potential?? he was the key of San Paolo.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
*U can't say they
Cristiana Ronalda preferred Barca over RM. Lier!!!!

Guys what do you think about Canella as left back how good is he some of us have not really seen him,and what about marcano and the other left back at deportivo la coruna is he quality.Madrid needs to sort out this position quick.and forget about arbeloa he is not that good at all.robben and sneider should stay as they are very good players irrespective of injuries.dont forget to have a good team the bench has to be of very good players or else we are wasting time buying cr9 and kaka.
Reply to chizy5:
canella is a rising star ..hed be a good buy..depor left back wants to move to barca for some reason whata gay

Cazorla rumors are picking up MARCA claim we are interseted and he is an alternative to Ribery and also this report claims that Villarreal will negotiatie only if Negredo is included in the deal.. Cazorla is a right winger.. and we have C Ronaldo who will most likely play there and if Robben stays he will play on the left wing so where will Cazorla fit in? LINK
Reply to Weezy:
But the deal collapse hahaha
Reply to Madridista4:
CR9 will more likely to play as a 2nd striker. Pellegrini wasn't used to play typical wingers. and Cazorla is the "cut-int" type of attacking midfielder who has already got used to the system. it's still unknown whether Robben will fit in the new style or not. however, i prefer Silva to Cazorla. We need a good passer.
Reply to Danniel:
and i forgot to say sth mate, Fergie would have known who CR was if Man Utd didn't play the friendly game with Sporting Lisboa. How would Perez know who the 18 yr old CR was while Perez was insisting on Beckham. SO, there was no way CR could have come to R.Madrid UNTIL he joins ManU and was recognized there.
Reply to DynastyofRealMadrid:
*Fergie would NOT have known....
Reply to Madridista09:
That was his former Man U team-mate Djemba-Djemba telling a lie! Just to come in the spotlight. Everybody knows CR9's dream was to come to Real Madrid. So u can stop talking about this bullshit! Btw his name is not Cristiana dude. And why so much prejudice against Ronaldo??
Guys like U and MadridistAli actually go and look out for these kinds of stories tarnishing Ronaldo's image and then link them here so that an anti- Ronaldo opinion builds up here on this blog! Are U a Real supporter or Barca fan?? U are actually helping Barcelona by doing this.
I mean seriously what is wrong with U guys?? He hasn't even played a game 4 us yet! U guys need to lower ur jealousy/hate towards Ronaldo.
Reply to Madridista09:
You could have posted an English link of the same story on Goal.com . That wud have been better.
if it's on goal.com and sport.es it has to be right!!! lol--irony--
sport.es keeps saying ribery prefers barca over real, they say benzema prefers barca over real! I wait for them to say perez prefers barca! lol
that's bullshit
ronaldo was going to madrid for over one year and he gave everything for manu during this time, so he's very welcome in my eyes!
Ladies & Gentlemen (since Saramir is a lady), what's the fuzz in Raul thing?? Stop it already!! I'm annoyed to have read all the comments on Raul and I think several of the blogger are the same.
Whatever your opinion whether positively or negatively toward the Legend, its your say. But to argue whose right or wrong is unhealthy. Everybody have the right to say whatever they think in the blog to a certain limit tolerable by the mod.
I am no Raul hater nor I am his admirer. All I can say is he was good previously and he is a legend. You all can talk shit about him or keep on hoping that Raul should be a starter or even represent his country but it is all depends on the COACH!!
Reply to RMFantasy:
If you don't want to read comments on Raul - don't read them. Simple. It's a blog for all opinions. And some people (me
) have a hang up with him, just as others have a problem with Gago, Robben or Drenthe.
Why should people have to stop commenting just on one particular player?
Reply to Caracoleo:
You considering making an anti-Raul group on oleole??
If the question of Raul was entirely down to the coach, then fine. It would be the coach's fault 100%
But I, and a lot of other supporters, get the feeling that it is out of the coach's hands. I hope that is not the case under Florentino. But previously, you could say that AS and MArca were in charge of the team.
Look at the vicious campaign they mounted when Aragones dropped Raul. It was actually quite disgusting to see those 2 newspapers insist time and time again, all the way up to the Euros that Raul should be picked, and that the nation DEMANDED Raul in the team, and Raul was a scapeegoat for Aragones... etc.
And what did Raul do to put an end to this vicious campaign? Sweet nothing.
Reply to themadridguy:
Can we send a partition to Perez to bench him?
Reply to Caracoleo:
I guess Gago is not paying and neither do Raul. Most probably our strategy would be 4-5-1 with Benzi as a lone striker. Valdano has said it, RM need someone to partner lass. that goes to cesc too. Dont think e will come. Check it out.LINK
Reply to RMFantasy:
* I guess Gago is not playing
We should really be looking for a left back now. Our attackers are complete. So who should be the next Roberto Carlos in RM???
Reply to RMFantasy:
It was obvious from the start that Fabregas was never really an option.
De Rossi has been ruled out by Roma, as has Alonso.
Valdano still wants someone to 'channel the play'.
So it could mean that Gago could still have a role to play. But I don't think that his best position is defensive midfielder, or anchoring the midfield with Lassana. Gago probably plays better in a freer, more advanced role in midfield.
So it's a definite problem for Pellegrini.
Reply to RMFantasy:
I really liked Andre (?) Santos, the Brazilian left back in the Confeds Cup. He looked secure at the back, and confident going forward.
However, another Brazilian left back at Madrid? It doubt it would happen.
It will probably be Arbeloa. Boring eh?
Reply to Caracoleo:
Well, gago was rated so highly in Boca. But i haven't seen any thing from him that proves that he was capable to play as a decent CM. He only deserves to play as a holding midfielder. His pass lacks of accuracy, he couldn't manage the rhythm, he is not a piece taker, his long range shots are just averaged. He is still young and has space to improve. But i dare say he still has a long way to go to learn how to use the ball like a CM. It might not be fair to critisize him so harsh since we expected too much on him when he was signed. I still remember how nervous he was in his debut against Deportivo in which he was used as a CM. his 8 assists in 08/09 indicates his improvement but these 8 assists were exchanged with countless wrong passes. He is not ready to play for a CL winning team yet.
Reply to Caracoleo:
Agreed
Reply to Caracoleo:
Now we're getting to the bottom of the matter.
You're right it's not really about stats - it about subjective feeling and opinion most of the time.
With me, Raul is one of my heros and it upsets me to see Madrid fans seemingly hate him so much.
Sure he makes me angry sometimes and sometime he plays badly and lacks pace.
I really do think he needs to make way.
Now will be the perfect time for us to test Raul, assuming he is not selected for first team lineup. Certainly it looks like Perez has put massive presure on his position, which was already starting to build up with with Higuain playing so well.
If he throws a wobbler and disrupts the team - then you are are right and I'm wrong - I will promise to fully admit it.
If he acts a gentleman and moves aside and supports the team will you agree to concede he has a good attitude to the club?
It seems to me your biggest beef is with the press, not Raul himself.
Robben ranked at 44 at goal top 50, should be higher in my opinion. But whatever.
