Real Madrid have failed to win their first match in La Liga as they were outplayed by Deportivo La Coruna who scored two goals which meant that Nistelrooy's only goal was not enough.
Schuster started with Casillas in goal, Ramos, Pepe, Heinze and Marcelo in defense. Guti, Diarra, Robben and Higuain in midfield. And as usual, Schuster also started with Ruud and Rau'l upfront.
Real Madrid had most of ball possession but they failed to be effective in front of goal. Rau'l had a poor performance so did Guti.
Higuain played in an usual position so he was kinda confused. Robben just couldn't break into the defense alone and was always looking for help, while Ruud was completely isolated.
The defense was not that bad, but Deportivo's first goal shouldn't have gotten in. I mean it was a corner and I think Pepe and Heinze were so lazy and Casillas just didn't know what to do.
I believe that Schuster is the one who is responsible for the defeat. As I said before, there is no point in starting Rau'l when you have better performers. He should have paired Ruud with Higuain and played Drenthe with Robben on the wings as he exactly did in the second half ... and oh wait, why the hell did it take him so long to send Drenthe and De La Red in? He really pissed me off.
Guti simply sucked. It was kinda normal to see Guti performing like that, we are used to that and whenever he lost the ball he just simply moved on just like if something really didn't happen ... move your ass and get the fucking ball!!
Anyway, the bottom line is that we missed Sneijder & Van Der Vaart. A playmaker was essentially needed. Also we missed Robinho on the left but that could have been solved If Schuster had started with Drenthe.
Barcelona also lost while Valencia and Ateltico Madrid both won their respective matches. It is just the beginning...

I don't know what it is, but there's something going on here. We'll study it in the next few months. I have no idea. We tried everything, but it just couldn't be. We have to congratulate Deportivo for their victory.
What did Real Madrid lack tonight?
We didn't need anything else. We should have watched out more when they scored and we should've prevented them from making so many crosses into the box. They beat us there. It's not too worrying because we dominated the match. Our four strikers played tonight and they did well.
What do you think of what Robinho said today?
I'm not interested in it. Today was our day, not Robinho's. we wanted to win our first league clash. It isn't worth talking about what Robinho said.

I saw this game and I was extremely dissapointed. This was probably Casillas' worst game that I can recall. The only sheds of light were Marcelo and Diarra. Diarra showed today why he is a very valuable player he was everywhere he defended and attacked. Robben was completely shut out from this game Depor had two players on him the entire game. Guardado had a fantastic game and made Heinze look slow. Higuain was played out of position. What was Schuster thinking? Raul was nowhere to be seen. We definitely showed that we need Van Der Vaart. We had no creatitivity. Is it just me or could we not defend a set piece? We definitely need work. The important thing is that we saw our mistakes. Now we can move foward.
I think that we lost the game because of the midfield,they played as well as ( 
SHIT ) especially Guti and Robben because i heared that he was so selfish,although i think we missed Robinho because he is the only player that can open the defence for other players as Capello (better that Schuster) said.Also we missed Sneijder he is a perfect playmaker,i am very sad about the game,but its only the beginning..........i hope we win our next game........

We were confused in our brains,there was a hungry Depor who

he will know what to do!The door will be opened for us but also we have something to do,as first,keep the faith,we

Why is everyone reacting so harshly, these stadium curses don't go away easily, it demoralizes us and strengthens them. It's just the first game, besides, once Canna comes back, things should be better, I still have hope that Robinho commits but most fans wouldn't accept him as the way he's disgraced himself is...just sad. We need VDV and we really need Sneijder, as they give good cover for the wings but what I don't get is, why not play Metzelder instead of Heinze, I mean he's a natural centre-back, unlike Heinze. We'll come back against Numancia but it's two weeks away

It was the first game of the season and Riazor is anyway not Real's favourite place to be!
Raul and Guti as everyone said are just too slow now to breakthrough defences.We desperately need a new striker to replace Raul or we would have to play Van Nistelrooy with Higuain in front.
Robinho should be sold,come what may!Disgraceful player!
Sneijder and VDV would be good attacking midfielders and hope Sneijder recovers earlier than expected.
I want to forget this game as soon as posible. But I won't be unfer like some of you. Raul scored the most goals for Real Madrid last year, and Guti was the best assistent of Primera. I won't kick them of the cort because of one game. They live for their club and they will give their best for it. Higuain? Good player, but he is going to be even better when the game becomes more important to him then his haircut. Drenthe is very fast but when he gets to the goal he doesn't know what to do with the ball. Little more patience and respect. We will be champeones this year too. HALA RAUL! HALA MADRID!

Shocking match from the team , they were completely overtaken by Depor . I mean Casillas was really bad , one of the worst matches of his career I really hated him then , the defense really sucked with Pepe clearly taking the blame for the first goal he was lost . No coordination between him and Hienze with Ramos being too nervy . Marcelo was solid and showed a lot of promise but could use a bit lil practice on attacking . Robben was the best player on the pitch but with some extent of selfishness , Diarra was solid but he was soooo slow and almost always killed any attack if he touches the ball . Raul's useless and should be benched , Ruud's done what he does best , score goals . Higuain was good , I expected better but it was a mistake to start with him on the position of attacking midfielder . 18 years now .. I cant see it broken any time soon if we keep this state of disharmony . I think Schuster should take a part of the blame for the god damned slow reactions .. I think he should learn from this mistake .
I thought we dominated the match but we didn't create enough chances and that's probably due to not having Sneijder and Van der Vaart. Raul and Guti are on the downfall of their career.Raul is too slow and Guti is freaking lazy. I agree Higuain should start up front with Ruud and Drenthe and Robben on the flanks. Gago for Diarra and Van der Vaart for Guti next game. The defense the same, Pepe just needs to be smarter. That was a stupid foul to commit on the 1st goal. Alright, Hala Madrid!!
