Okay, before I get all the hate comments from all the Man Utd fans and all the Cristiano fans, just read. You will see what I am talking about....
Alright. Lets see here. What was Cristiano doing the last half of the summer?
Answer: Getting orange and going to the ESPYs in LA.
What was just about everyone else doing?
Answer: Working for the upcoming/ongoing season.
How did Orangie....I mean Ronnie spend the last part of Euro 2008?
Answer: Faking and diving his way into the further stages of the Euros....that is until they played Germany! WOO!
Cristiano's Euro 2008....
Still worth stupid amounts of money, but not as much as when the tournament started. Showed some flashes of brilliance, but proved with his displays of petulance and frustration that he is not a team player.
The current best player in the world, by contrast, didn't inspire his Portuguese team-mates at all - he was more likely to be seen holding his arms aloft in theatrical disgust, or beating the turf in frustration. We saw Ronaldo at his worst the other day: his brilliance, glimpsed on a couple of occasions only, was eclipsed by his petulance and vanity.
Ronaldo deserved to be on the losing side, Ballack did not. The German captain is a far more mature player than C-Ron, but then he is several years older.
That said, Ronaldo has been around for a while and this was the tournament where he should have showed us how much he has matured in the last couple of seasons. Instead, he showed us how much growing up he still has to do. When things don't go his way, he doesn't have the mental strength to lift his head and encourage those around him - instead he demands the ball and sprints towards the opposition box with a reckless disregard for his team-mates that says: "Do I have to do everything myself around here?"
Is such a selfish player really worth £200,000 a week? That's what Real Madrid have to ask themselves...

What was Messi doing this summer?
Answer: Playing in the Olympics for his country, playing in WC 2010 qualifiers, preparing for the new Barca season, rehabbing the old injuries he had last season. NOT going on holiday in LA.
I will still give it to ol' Orangie that he had a good season last year. But, it was the WHOLE TEAM that won the Champions League and EPL.....not just Ronny. So, people at FIFA and UEFA, hear the cries of me and many of the anti-Cristiano people out there. Please tell me what is so great about him. He doesn't do any humanitarian work like Philipp Lahm. He is more concerned about him looking like a carrot. So, please, Ronny, if you are reading this, (I doubt that you are....) please, show me and the haters out there why you get all of these titles. You aren't a team player. You are the EPL's Kobe Bryant. BALLHOG! Give the ball to your fellow players....Rooney, Vidic, Scholes, etc.... So, Ronny, instead of worrying about spending money on getting corny R7 diamond earrings for your WAG, worry about bettering yourself as a player and as a person.
Now, think again, Do you think that Cristiano Ronaldo REALLY deserves the Balon D'Or, or It Should Be Given to someone like Casillas or even Messi?

That award should go to messi, torres or casillas. CR7 is skilled but the only thing IMO he really has going is the 40something goals he scored last season. He did not lead the teams and did not score when it mattered the most. His national team sucked at euros and he was the one everyone was looking at and he failed to impress. His step over moves are over done! right now he should be giving the voters a display to remove any doubts they may have as to why he deserves it and he aint doing shit.
also casillas with all those goals he's conceding now is bad. I know the vote is for what the players did last year but i believe that consistency is a key factor.

Well honestly I think yes!He had a great season in ManUtd,won the EPL and CL,most probably also WWC,scored so much!It is hard to say for me because of Iker,Iker was fantastic the whole year!But Iker,s best years are to come, he will get this title one day for sure!
Anyone who doesn't want CR7 to get that award is a HATER,,, if he was a Real Madrid player every Real fan would want him to get it,,, also what else must that kid win to get that award [a trophy from space?], he got the CL the Barclays League,, and we ask if he deserves it??? We should be asking instead what other award is out there for him to get..Did anyone really saw his goals and skills last year and also the trophies he won [A throphy every Real fan wants now]!!?? I never usually watch Man U. But untill seeing that kid on form last year,,,he got not only my attention but the worlds attention... And with those trophies last season who wouldn't take a vacation..THE KID IS A STAR
