Hey everyone! Happy New Year! :) Kristen here. :)
So, I was on my daily rounds of the transfer websites and the same thing was coming up on all of them, the Jermaine Pennant story. Earlier today, he was quoted as saying that he would like to leave Liverpool and go to Atl. Madrid. Then, later in the day, he was quoted as saying that he is "flattered" that Real Madrid have an interest in him and that he KNOWS 100% that Real Madrid has talked to Liverpool about him. He then later said on guillembalague.com that he would look into going to Real.
AHHH! It is all so confusing. Jermaine, please make up your mind!
But, you have to admit, this is the "beauty" of the transfer market. You have to love it. So, I ask you, do you want Pennant in the squad, and if you do (or don't) why?
So, anyway, just thought that was something "interesting" that I found.

I would take Luis Antonio Valencia over him because Pennant had some legal troubles before and is not always determined to play hard as you can see he has barely played for liverpool.. Antonio Valencia on the other hand has la liga experience and is younger and looks like the better player because he has liverpool and manchester united also intrested as i heard .. Real Madrid should buy Valencia
This crap about Pennant is just rumors. He is nowhere near good enough for Real Madrid. NOWHERE NEAR. Valencia is quality but I have my doubts about his consistency and whether he could cut it in Madrid. Seriously this Pennant stuff needs to be ignored. It is not serious

I think none of the Madridistas would look up to Pennantm, how would we sign a liverpool bench warmer for?? there is not point for this. Even though he is cheap, we still shouldn't waste money and time on some useless players. This is a shame to see real madrid acquiring such a guy. How many of the Utd players you named are World-Class!? Berbatov is over-priced, Nani and Anderson are too young, Scholes and Giggs are past it. Ferdinand and Vidic are World-CLass. Evra aint and nor is Carrick. So you named 4 World-Class players along with squad memebers. Our starting XI tops Utd on nearly every front. The problem is our lack of depth and injuries. Man Utd have that whereas we don't. As for 20m for Diarra, yeah, that's bad but 17m for Huntelaar is fair. Considering the fact that they were asking for 30m from Man Utd, it's VERY fair. I really doubt Juande's going to let Pennant come here, I mean common, second-rate players don't belong at Real Madrid. And I agree, since when is money the problem, we're Real Madrid! Hala Madrid!

Lets do the math: Real Madrid - 6, Man Utd - 5. That's for that argument. And no Evra is not World-Class, sorry, that's the truth. Though my friends here are going a little overboard saying Marcelo is better, Evra has nothing but pace. A true left-back is Chiellini, never seen one like him in this decade. Berba and World-Class, they are two terms that should never be linked, EVER. For Spurs, he was very good but considering the fact that Spurs have been second-rate for the longest of times, it's nothing special. Don't tell me you're going to call Amr Zaki, Tim Cahill and Agbonlahor World-Class though they have immense potential, it takes a lot to be World-Class. Berbatov for what was it, 32m! Don't make me laugh mate. He's barely worth 18m and my Man Utd supporting friend agrees completely. I mean common, you're benching Tevez who is pretty near to World-Class to an over-priced, under-performing player. Well said Angel. Evra is a good player but he is not world class and not the best leftback in the world. I think Inter's Maicon is probably the best leftback right now. I'm not bashing Man U because they are a great squad and they have some world class players like Tevez, Shrek(I mean Rooney), Ferdinand, VDS. And Man U has great potential like Rafael and Anderson. As for this Pennant thing, it's a complete joke. If we really bid for this third string player I'm going to personally fly to Madrid and burn a Mijatovic effigy in protest for the disgust that he has brought to this club.
I don`t like Pennant in the squad. I prefer Di Maria or Valencia. My favorite is Di Maria I really would like to see him in Real Madrid.

I believe that the only thing that real madrid lack is one unstoppable player. united have ronaldo, barca messi, chelsea drogba and unfortunately for us Liverpool have torres AND gerrard... and etc etc. The point is that if you take these players out of their teams then the teams are no longer on another level to real madrid. seeing as though we don't have the power to take these player out, we should look to bring in a player who can get to this level. these include players like ribery and aguero who teams are finding difficult to stop.

As for the bias thing everyone is biased in some way. Seriously marcelo is not better than evra and if you think he is then... well your definetly a real madrid fan. In my view both teams only have 2-3 world class players each united have ferdinand, ronaldo for sure and maybe rooney and real have casillas and ruud and maybe robben. what both team have alot of is players who hare close to becoming world class, these are evra, vidic, berbatov, tevez, sneijder, VDV, pepe, ramos, not to mention younger players who are showing alot of promise: marcelo, gago, higuain, huntelaar, nani, anderson, rafael (you can see my bias here by me naming more real madrid players
United may seem better than real because all their players are performing and real's are not but it is only a matter of time. united are near their peak, they can't get much better, we on the other hand have been going up from rock bottom for the last 3 years and we have a long way to go yet. once we do find the missing link in real madrid then we are going to DESTROY everyone including Ronaldo FC...... sorry i mean man u

Even though Marceo is not better than Evra. There are many left backs in the world are better or in the same leve of him, Philip Lahm and Clichy are two of them. This is real madridistas' blog. If you are Man Utd fan, just go to have fun in Man Utd's blog. Even though Real Madrid has a broken squad now as a supporter we should still be by the team's side. Man Utd has a better squad than ours but they are not guaranteed to take down real madrid if madrid can play them with full team. Roberto Carlos was a full-back, Chiellini is a defensive left-back. Undoubtedly, Carlos was the best left full-back of the decade
But seriously, Chiellini is amazing, his consistency is just shocking, I don't think he's ever played badly 
We could really use him on the left and good thing is he's like Ramos, he's also a centre-back. Heinze sucks and I really doubt he'll prove his worth. 
This is our chance, I think it's time we pounce. Forget Villa for now, we should go for Silva as soon as possible. Though, the problem is the damn UEFA Cup! He's registered for it

i think mijatovic has some sort of mental illness. when the manager tells him to get someone like villa or silva, he looks at the players at the highest level and goes after the likes of c.ronaldo. when manager tells him to buy players like young, vlencia, he goes to lowest level he can and goes after really crap players like pennant.
