Rau'l has held a press conference in Austria commenting on the team's objectives for this season, on Robinho, Ronaldo and a few other things.
Ferguson has told Ronaldo that the worst thing he could do is to sign for Real Madrid. What would you like to say to that?
I haven't heard that, but coming to this Club is the best thing that can happen to any player on a professional level and also personally, as he would live in a fantastic city. Everything that happens at Real Madrid is important and I would never dream of giving it up. I've been here for 14 years.
Fergie is an idiot. The worst thing that could happen to you is to live in Madrid, play for Real Madrid and earn millions per year? Maybe he is just jealous....
Has the Club consulted you
Of course they have, but Rau'l can't talk about it in public. He is the captain, he is everything, and it make sense that the club should at least ask for his opinion.I think he is a brilliant player, one of the most unsettling men on a pitch at the moment, who scored many goals last year. He won the Premiership and the Champions League. He is a great footballer, like many others. It's up to the Club's sports directorship to decide if he comes or not. I guess they will be working hard on it if they deem his joining the team necessary.
Last year, the team proved that you don't need big stars to earn good results. Do you think such a star could be detrimental to the team?
There's no reason why it should. It could be very positive given that the core of the team is solidly structured. We have a great squad with excellent players. I'm quite sure whoever join us this year will be quality players. They will be welcomed here very warmly and they will adapt to the team very quickly. We have a great group of people here. We know how to work towards winning a title; we've been doing so in the last couple of seasons. We have very important goals for the present campaign. Having won two league titles will make our fans demand a Champiosn League title and good performances. I think this team has players capable of achieving this.
When Capello was brought on board, his first job was to get that great team spirit back. The team was full of starts, starts who were greater than those in the game today, but they all lacked the spirit. Now the team has that spirit, yes skills and class play a big role, but believe me the love for the white shirt is more important, and thats why Real won the two leagues and made some herioec come backs.

Marca says that Real Madrid has confirmed that Robinho will stay at the club until 2013 and will earn €3m per year. This comes after the latest rumors that linked Robinho with a move to Chelsea, however, with Cristiano Ronaldo still being coward and doesn't know what he wants, Real thought it would be better to get the kid stuck in a new deal.
Real even denied him from going with Brazil to the Olympics so he is now in Austria training with the team. There hasn't yet been an official announcment regarding this, but Marca as well as a few other sources are certain about this deal, and I would say this is the best thing that Real has ever done so far during this summer.

I agree with you lambros, we need a player who is on every body lips, maybe they should work on Robinho for him to reach his true potential. YLLIG that's rude to say that of such a great leader. Robinho is fine. As Sneijder said in his latest interview, he is like Ronaldo. He has what it takes to be the best in the world, but awards like FIFA player of the year...etc can't be achieved on ones own. You need a team to help you, you need to be backed up by a great trophy. If Robinho continue playing this way, and Rea win the CL, he will get that award, trust me. And If he wasn't great, Chelsea wouldn't offer £35m

I completely agree and I believe that everyone at Real has been told to watch what they say about this Ronaldo Saga. Sneijder said the truth. If Ronaldo comes it will unbalance the dressing room. I completely understand why Robinho was so public about not being used as a barganing chip to land Ronaldo. Robinho will show his worth it is just a matter of time. However, I think Sneijder is closer to winning an award with the performances he showed at the Euros. I'm glad Robinho is staying.

What's going on if Eto comes to Madrid there wouldn't be no problem in the dressing room but if C.Ronaldo comes there would be a problem, that's cruel, that's mean and also unfair?????? What's going on here??? Where is the love??? All professional Football players should be treated with same love and respect no matter how big a star they are, no matter how over rated they are, no matter their race, you see the sport should be played with team love, so what's the diffrence with Eto and C.Ronaldo????? i read every day what you write about realmadrid news!!i agree with most of your opinions and i am happy that there are still some fans of this kind.well i only disagree with you about cristiano.r!in my opinion it will be much beneficial if we sign him,the team will got again its old prestige(REAL IS THE BEST TEAM WITHOUT DOUBTS) and i think we need a player like zizou or redondo just one player who will be a little more unique than the others...i m really sad to say that but in nowadays the other teams don t afraid us or they haven t the same opinion about real like the old days...HALA MADRID!!!!!!!!!
