WE ARE CHAMPIONS, WE ARE CHAMPIONS, WE KICKED ASS, WE REALLY DID KICK ASS, WE WERE JUST Phenomenal!!!
I'm still thrilled. It was an amazing match. Schuster's lineup was not the best one, but he fixed everything in the second half.
Once again, Casillas was just phenomenal. Pepe proved he is a great defender. Ramos was awesome. Diarra was okay. Guti kinda sucked, so did Rau'l.
Van Goal was absoloutely great... and oh yeah, Robben and De La Red, those two were just so good. And don't forget Higuain!!
I just didn't expect VDV to be sent out. I mean, he didn't have the intention to hurt the Valencia player, but anyway he was sent out.
The second half was more entertaining. Valencia were a tough side, a side that I respect very much. Both Silva and Villa were dangerous. Thank god we had Pepe and Ramos back in defense. Also Drenthe improved things in the backline.
I missed a bit of the match while I was calling someone and I'm not sure but I guess Van Nistelrooy was sent off too, right?
We have won our first trohpy this season. Robinho didn't play and I guess he is definitely leaving. I'm quite positive though, we have De La Red, Drenthe and Higuain, however, we need another player just to be on the safe side.
Now, just tell me what you think... awesome huh?

Hi to all Madridistas from Podgorica, born town of Predrag Mijatovic.
My name is Serhi nad I’m huge fan of Real Madrid since 1995 when I was 14 years old.
This is my first post but I read this site a lot, it’s in my bookmarks for a long time. Thank you for quality infos and passion that you spread for Real Madrid.
This epic match has inspired me to write for the first time and to show my admiration and gratitude towards tonight’s squad and specially towards “man of glass” Arjen Robben, who turns out to be “MAN OF STEEL”…
The start of the match was bad. Real tried to reach the goal but transition wasn’t great. Guti wasn’t doing what he was supposed to do and Valencia held the ball in their possession making Los Blancos impatient which led to some mistakes. Afther going down 0-1 (min.33. David Silva) and then losing Rafael van der Vaart five minutes before the break, everything looked very bad. But a spectacular, heroic fightback in the second half smashed Valencia and brought smiles back on the Santiago Bernabeu.
Casillas
As always. Very confident and without mistake. Although he didn’t have much work tonight in one occasione, that Villa shot around 80 min., he showed his class.
Sergio Ramos
Played one of his best games together with Pepe and Heinze who really gave there best.
Only bad thing that I could say about tonights defense is that lack of concentration in 33 min. The ball was traveling too comfortable and too long, the whole defence should be more aggressive. Since the start of that action I felt that something bad is going to happen and that goal really pissed me of. Later, especially when left without 2 players, in moments when the result wasn’t good and squad had to keep pushing forward which left much space for players like Villa, Silva, Joaquín, Vicente… they showed what they are made of!
M. Torres (Drenthe, 63’)
I think that he entered bad into the match, simply this wasn’t his night. He did not make some crucial mistakes or anything like that but it was obvious that he can’t give what Real needed in that moment. Drenthe was in “my squad” before the match. I simply knew that he would get into the match better and his desire, strength, balance, agility would contribute the squads compatibility.
Guti (De la Red, 76’)
Guti really pissed me of tonight. I really like this guy, he played last year like never and I think that he is great but the truth is - he has those “moments”… Really got me mad when he didn’t want to run back and cover his field in the moment when Real was 2 man short and with result 1-1. I don’t have to tell you what would one goal in our net mean in those moments on the edge… And I think he did that more than ones. Just looking towards the referee with his arms crossed… Don’t want to mention bad passes and bad ball transition.
He was very nervous all the time and that sub came into the right moment.
De La Red didn’t impressed me in the first match but after what I saw tonight I have to agree with what Kid Rock wrote - he's really improving. He scored fantastic and proved that he have that sence for scoring…
Diarra
Better than ever! It’s too bad that Spanish television don’t have that grafik showing covered distance. He really looked ok even his ball control seems to be on much higher level then the past year. I noticed that at Emirates Cup also.
Van der Vaart
I also think that he didn’t deserve to be sent off but…what’s done is done. When talking about him, the best is yet to come.
Raúl (Higuaín, 77’)
The truth is that Raul didn’t look very good but he gave his best, he left his heart on the field. As always… Just his presence is very important for the players because he is great motivator and fighter. I also knew that, under those surcumstences, Higuain was better choise. Raul was tired, slow… and that substitution came as logical move which proved right. Pipita was fresh, aggressive and fast and collected his revord in 87 min.
Last year he scored crucial goal against Osasuna (LINK this time he scored also very important goal and I think he deserves to play much more.
Van Nistelrooy.
What to say about Van Goal… Great attitude, motivation, concentration…undeserved sent of. He had just two starts and I really think that Iturralde was extremely harsh.
As I said before, this epic match has inspired me to write for the first time and to show my admiration and gratitude towards tonight’s squad and specially towards “man of glass” Arjen Robben, who turns out to be “MAN OF STEEL”, “FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET”…
Does this reminds you of someone? Yes, he was SUPERMAN tonight and what really made me happy and satisfied is his desire to keep on pushing, always asking for the ball and going towards the goal. It was simply fascinating looking at him dancing at Bernabeu - changing sides, fintas, slaloms, overrunnings, powerfull shots giving our squad a huge moral boost and winning spirit. He was crucial.
I think that he had eight or nine shots in the last 20 min. and every one of them could easily end up behind Hildebrand. That was just fantastic.
This game was much more than Supercup. Winning this game, THIS WAY means a lot for players, especially after this summer transfer sagas, and I think that this victory has bounded players more than ever… just in a right time.
Thank you Real Madrid for the best birthday present ever!
Cheers.
I think we were missing gago alot even though he might not be the best out there his hard work and positioning helps the team more than it can be seen. He is the one who holds the back of that midfield allowing guti and sneijder and now van der vaart to push up and attack as we saw today guti had to sit back because diarra kept moving up like he was a attacking mid, gago holds that spot so that he can get the ball out quickly and stays there to help in D. Diarra used to play there well but now he seems like he wants to attack with everyone else.
I've seen the whole match and we played very well except the first half which was crapy, and also we dont need that bitch Robinho i think Robben got his place covered but if he leaves who will take No.10?!
All this said, I think we have a great squad, and we are contenders for the Champions League. We can really put up a challenge. Too bad Robinho is leaving, him being my favorite player. I am as sad about him being transferred as I was when Figo left for Italy. I also hope Marcelo, Higuain and De la Red will get more matches for Real Madrid, as they are young and have great potential. They cold grow up to be football superstars for the Merengues. I only wish that so could Robinho. It's a shame seeing the youngster leave.
What can I say, if our players, especially Robben keep playing with such determination then the likes of Ronaldo and Kaka will have another thing coming. I've always loved Robben and I was giving full support to the transfer, he's class not glass, everybody gets injured and he just has bad luck and I think this is the year we say Robben rob the spotlight. As for the match, bad start, phenominal second half and a real lesson to Valencia to put their feet back on Earth. It's a sahme Van Goal and VDV were sent off, if they would still be there then it would be a goals galore for us, everything can't go our way though, that's life. I'm proud of us, we've turned the rythym on our side in a single game. I think most of us would agree, Barcelona have better players in some positions in the starting line-up and better back-up yet they don't have what we have, spirit. I think this is the year to retain the title of the best. Hala Madrid!
first congratulations for all madridistas, we were the champions and truely with nine players, man yes 9 against 10 and we were better at every second of the 2nd half, i wanna mention some crucial players of yesterday's victory:
1-Mamadou diarra: this guy was the best he was controlling the midfield with a fist of steel, i never saw him in that excellent shape, it looks that Schuster is right "we'll se the best Diarra ever" man he was attacking ,i'm very proud of him...
2-Raul: Spirit of Los blancos, without him our motivation is low, and he's always pushing himself hard eventhough u think he wasn't gd...
3-Van nistelrooy: My man who shows again that he's a kick ass striker as ever, the header who lead to a penalty kick was extremely accurate
4-Robben:I wanna call him the merengues Wolf, he's extremely dangerous and smart, man he was leading most of attacking chances , and he shows no mercy at every chance, this is a man of steel, and the best yet to come...
5-Ramos: the little Matadore, with his braveheart on either attack or defense he had a crucial role in the first goal and did a great job in the second halfon defense...
6-Higuain(pippita): My hero, was extremely concentrating, and from the first mistake from the opponent's defense he scored and what a great way to score...
*-Casillas: san Iker is way ahead to be classified as a best of the match, he's outstanding at every game,he was a great guardian , and for sure the best keeper ever, god bless you Iker...
although i've mentionned just 7 players but truely all the players were great and performing a great game with a spirit of team that no other team has,and about Robinho, i'm a great fan of him but if he decides to leave he'll be the loser and he'll never come back , because Real madrid was and will never be a place for arrogants...
Hala Madriiid
HALA MADRID!!! THATS AMEASING. I GOT CHOCKD!
ROBINHO STAY!!!!!

Well, I think that he wouldn't add anything given the fact that Diarra is already doing what should be done. It was just Guti who wasn't performing well, so in upcoming matches, I would just play Diarra and De La Red/Van Der Vaart with Robben and Drenthe on the wings.

Either Sneijder or Van Der Vaart. Maybe a new coming player?

Well, as I said on many times, it is partly Calderon's fault, but the player turned out that he really wants to leave not because of the club, but because that as he says, we can't help him to be the best, so it is just over, we should move on.

You are correct. VDV will not play, Van Goal will play.
Congrats to Real Madrid!
Fanstastic job. We need to keep this mentallity of never giving up. With this performance I am convinced that we have enough depth to make a good champions league run this year. I hope we can bring the 10th title home.
Listening comments during the match from some Barca fans, Sevilla fans and some other fans,I suddenly (after being very angry)started to feel sorry for them!
They were living in such an error, and I knew that!
They will never realise what is RealMadrid able to do!
That was the White power! That was the White spirit!
Robinho, will You stay or will You go,it is not important
so much anymore!
We are the TEAM!Vamos Los Blancos!
Wat an awesome game if i must say so myself... We don't need Robinho much & we proved it with this cup win... Either way, Villa can stay @ Valencia & we can carry on winning like this the rest of the season...

first off congrats to all madridistas and hopefully this is the begining of a lot yet to come .
.
dude you ask if it was awesome ? bro it was phenominal!!
30 min of the 1st half past with madrid reaching the goal but no real chances or shots on target and i kept saying if we keep up this way they're gonna counter back and score and thats excatly what happened . i was pissed as hell the team wasnt concentrating and all our passes were cut off the exact opposite was for valenca who were close to easch other and well grouned. vdv got sent off for a silly mistake which costs us a lot in the first half .
second half starts and still im pissed , then ramos heads a lovely ball to van nistelrooy who sends it to the goal but albiol denies it with a hand , which i rhought should deifentaly be a red card cause the ball was clearly headed for the goal , nontheless van goal scores from the p.k which got the match started.
it's a shame he got sent off for the same slide that vdv had , but that just got Robben pumped up geez this lad has some talent , lots of people said that 36 million was it ? was a waste on this player cause we got him injured , i dnt give a damn ( excuse my french ) this lad's awesome he turn the match on it's head and made the valencia defense dance the samba with his dribling
drenthe comes on for torres , i had drenthe in my starting 11 yesterday and i really wished he played from the start .
de la red scored from way out and this lad proves day to day that he's really improving .
higuain !! every match he comes on as a sub he has to score , it's like his trademark , this player is awesome , i had him in my starting 11 as well but raul participated instead and im glad he did.
guys if you watch the match closely it's true raul didnt have that much of an impact but im really happy with him cause he was really trying hard and always pressing the defense which helped us cause they get nervous and shoot off the ball which then comes back to us,
Congrats to all the madridstas!!!
First half was pure JUNK!!! Horrible performance!!! Second half was amazing. Great team work. Too early to jusge whether the team will be a real contender for the Champions league!!!
