Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Real Madrid has signed 16-year-old Brazilian winger, Alipio Duarte Brandano, from Portuguese club Rio Ave.

The player's agent, Helder Daniel, who also happens to be Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, has said that his client will arrive in Madrid this week to meet with Real Madrid scouts Juan Castro and Manu Sianz and then to start training with the Castilla team who by the way are still unbeaten in the third division

Chelsea was also interested in "little Ronaldo" as the Portuguese press dubs him, but he preferred to move to Spain as to avoid major shifts in his lifestyle.

His former club, Rio Ave, will receive around 550.000 euros (699.925 dollars) from this deal.

There hasn't been an official announcement on the club's website, but it looks like it is true.

I haven't ever seen him play, but from what I read online, he looks to be a talented player. This could be a very good investment indeed and I'd be very interested in seeing how he develops with the Castilla team.

Anyone knows more about him or has seen him play?

Hala Madrid!

was just reading about this...I think it's great that real are signing younger talented players. By next year with him and opare in the youth team, they will be unstoppable. The B team is unbeaten so far this year and will be promoted to the 1st division next year, they may be able to beat the A team hahaha

I haven't seend him play, I've just had a little read on the internet about him but if what they say is true I doubt a talented player like that will be playing in Castilla.
He is 16 years old, if Bojan doesn't have any problems playing in the Primera I don't think this boy will have.

Hala Madrid!

Yes thats impressive. I recall that in the 2006/2007 they were having a lot of problems and got relegated, right? I even now don't know who are their key players, guess I need to watch Real Madrid TV sometime.

I think they got relegated because The A team kept calling up the B team players and they were suffering cause of it....it was under capello I believe....plus they sent players away on loan like soldado etc and even sold some. What a waste. Real need to keep their young talent.
