Real Madrid To Sign Benzema in January?

Spanish newspaper "AS" not "ass" claims that Real Madrid will sign French striker, Karim Benzema, when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The price? 50m euros demanded by Lyon, the club where Benzema plays. The negotiator? Jean Michel Aulas, Lyon's supreme, a guy who is tough and hard to negotiate with. He is known to be a man who get what he wants, in the way he wants, thanks to the super-expensive buy-out clauses he ties his players with.
We signed Diarra from Lyon in 2006 for 26m euros, the price he demanded. So this means, it won't be easy to sign the French striker who says:
"If I convince my president, playing in Madrid would be possible."
On the other hand, Real are full of cash at the moment. Recent reports suggest that Mijatovic has 140m euros in his pocket to do some shopping. But I think 50m euros for Benzema is a lot of money and he aint worth it, at least not now.
He is 20 years old and looks like a good striker. He has a good physical shape, a winning mentality and everything that makes him a good option for us, but once again 50m euros is a lot of money.
I would instead sign David Villa who is definitely better than Benzema. Some might say that we should sign a young player, but c'mon, look at Ruud, he is 32 or 32? And he rocks (touch wood).
Furthermore, Mijatovic himself said in a recent interview, that they aren't gonna sign anyone in January, because we have a full squad. We have four strikers who have been doing well so far except for Saviola, because he has only played 35 minutes - unfair!!
The bottom line is, Benzema is good, but if we are going to pay 50m euros for him, Villa would be better, much more better.

Saviola is out of form? How is that? Did the guy even play to say whether he is in form or not? I think Schuster is being unfair to Saviola, he should give him a chance or two.
As for Mjatovic's interview, it isn't outdated, he was interviewed on 12 September, would he change his mind in just a month?

Maybe you are right about 50m euros is a lot of money but if we don't get him now somebody else will soon get him man, and it could be barca, and don't forget that he's taller than villa so he can scores more headers than him...

The only problem I see with this is the 50m euros. Other than that, it is a good deal. And, being taller or shorter isn't a big factor though.

I told you stories are cooked up, what Mijatovic originally said was,"We will support Bernd Schuster, but we don't plan on making new signings in the winter. There are still possibilties as anything can happen in football." What most people read was the cooked up version. And yes he did infact change his mind after the Zenit win, he was questioned once again are replied differently by saying that if players are needed they will come but the signings made will be young player like Higuain, Marcelo anad Gago and he used their names too. And yes anyone without match-practice is referred to as out of form and at this moment he is miserably out of form due to less playing time. Ever wondered why Robben doesn't make an impact every game!? I'm not saying he's bad, not at all, he had the potential to be the next Maradona but Barcelona wasted it and we aren't treating him much better. I would like to see him get more playing time but I still prefer Higuain AT THIS POINT due to his match practice and form. Though I was just exaggerating on the depth part but it's just my opinion, he can't say that 
But he did NOT rule out signings and a week ago our vice-president said that Real WILL make a bid for Agger but Liverpool won't seel though i'm just using that as an example. Hala Madrid!

Well, you are right that we shouldn't always believe what we hear, but I think unless a striker is offloaded, we won't be seeing any incoming one.
And I still insist that as long as Saviola is not playing, we shouldn't judge him. He needs to play first and we will see.

100m is the buy-out clause. As for Huntelaar, he is a good option too, but I think his club is asking for top dollar too.

He also admitted that every positon could use a tweak as the squad lacks good defensive depth, wing depth AND striking depth which means CL depth but he didn't say the CL part
IMO Higuain is not a striker but more like Robinho, he scores and creates whereas Saviola is miserably out of form and well our two main 'strikers' are aging. I think we should sign a winger and stiker as the defense is just geling in and hopefully will settle well. Though I do agree that Villa would be better BUT Valencia will not sell
