Real Madrid Want Podolski & Cannavaro Is Officially Back As He Leads Italy To A 2-1 Win Over Cyprus

Podolski

Podolski is reportedly unhappy in Germany with Toni and Klose dominating Byren Munic's frontline and the club officials have told him to shut up and concentrate on football rather than whining. And with Schuster also whining in Madrid and insisting on bringing a striker in January although he has four, it seems that Ramon Calderon is VERY interested in the German international.

Personally, I like Podolski, I like how he plays and I like the fact he was born in Poland (because a girl in my class was born in Poland, her name is Sarah, and we are ...) but I'm not sure if he is the right player for us.

I don't know, but do you think he is better than Villa, Benzema or Silva? I mean we need a world class player who can make a difference in a competition such as the Champions League and from all of those, I only can see David Villa.

Not gung-ho or something, but we already have Higuain & Saviola who are quite close to Podolski and while Villa is superior to them all and is more rated near Van Nistelrooy and Rau'l.

I saw Podolski with Germany in the Euro 2008 and he played very well (He scored three goals?). He can play behind another striker as well as on the wing. He is fast, strong and smart. And as far as I know, he is not a trouble maker so all of these make him a good candidate, but the question is still: can he make a difference in the Champions League? I'm not really sure...

Anyway, as far as international fixtures are concerned, Cannavaro played 90 minutes last night as Italy struggled but won against Cyprus last night thanks to two goals from Di Natali.

Cannavaro looked very well in the defense. He didn't have any problems at all and therefore he should be able to play in our next La Liga game.

Spain won as well. I'm not a Spain fan so I didn't watch the game nor read a report on the web.

Thats all. Nothing much, everything is calm after the Robinho saga has come to an end. What is hot now though is the Presidential Elections in the US and how hot is Sarah Palin (Man, she is so hot!), thats not soccer-related I know, but this is what I have been watching recently.

Hala Madrid!

and wats wrong with gago and higuain ?? they arent real footballers ?

gago's proven himself valuable alongside diarra after the departure of makelele , and is improving impressively .

and higuain is an awesome striker who almost scores in every match he's in or at least every match he comes on as a sub .

i really like players from south america and like the way they play the game .

Right on bro' :P
Higuain is an excellent footballer, and Gago is improving. Don't you guys remember Redondo? He was Argentinian as well.

I thought we needed a #9. Podolski plays off a main striker. Higuain, Raul and Saviola are essentially do the same. What we need is a Luca Toni, Berbatov, or an Adebayor.

I agree with helmet, we need someone who work the ball into the back of the net, we have the people who support them it's just the end product which lacks, I would say Huntelaar, Benzema and Villa, the best options, Villa would be the best out of the three but he's seeming really hard to sign and we can't waste more time stuck on one lad, Huntelaar would have to be the easiest as he's willing to move and Ajx will sell. Di Maria has also stated that he's ready to move and it's a good oppurtunity to pounce for him or maybe...Capel? What I mean is we NEED a striker and a winger and our squad is complete for the timebeing, maybe even bringing Garay back wouldn't be bad, lets hope for the best, Hala Madrid!

I have had enough of Brazilian players. I prefer Argentinian's.But Gago is not a favourite.Higuain is!
The 2 players I most like to see in Real is Benzema and Ribéry. Of what I've seen the last matches, Diarra is to find his new Malouda in Robben. Excellent work! Benz on top would be Yummie!

I don't think there is any stiker that can suit us. The only posibility is probably Roque Santa Cruz and here is why. Benzema and Huntelaar are young we need an experienced striker. Benzema still needs time and Lyon know that. He hasn't done anything with les blues given that Domenech is an idiot and should be sacked. Huntelaar won't come anytime soon or else we would have landed him this transfer window. Villa is too expensive and his new contract has a ridiculous buy-out clause. Santa Cruz would be ideal.

Santa Cruz is good in the air. Has a good touch. and had a good season at Blackburn. Blackburn are also in a Financial crisis we could buy him for practically nothing. I think he can adapt well. Pedja and Calderon should watch him closely this season.

I have never seen him play so I can't say if he is the most suitable striker for us. Though, I'm going to check out YouTube for some videos and do some under cover stuff lol

He played for Bayern as well but when Ottmar Hitzfeld came in he saw the bench. He played well there but he did suffer injuries and is currently injured because of international duty. My only concern is that he is 27 so he may be a little old to be a replacement for Rudd.

He played many years at Bayern. When Ottmar Hitzfeld took over he just sat on the bench. He had a good year at Blackburn but he has suffered from injury. I think he is injured right now becasue he did not play with Paraguay against Argentina. I think he will do well in Spain.
