Real Want Fabiano, Sevilla want De La Red

Monday, 14 July 08, 02:38 PM · Comments (11)

Usually, I don't trust the Spanish press but here it goes. Marca says that Real Madrid are interested in Sevilla's striker, Luis Fabiano. If this is true, then Schuster or whoever wants that lad must be mad. Yes mad, because how come you sign a striker when you have a dozen. We have Ruud, Raùl, Higuain, Saviola, Baptista and Soldado. You see, it would be a problem and waste of money. If Calderon just like spending millions of euros, why not he give me some of them? I mean I'm a student and I pay a lot of money for college, and I'm a Real Madrid fan so it makes sense that I should get that money instead of it being spent on cowards such as Ronaldo. Or if this is true, and Calderon is not mad, then he is going to offload at least two strikers so the whole thing makes sense.

Anyway, the same newspaper, Marca, also claims that Sevilla are interested in signing Roben De La Red, the guy who played exceptionally well with Getafe last season and with Spain in the Euro.

I think it would be great if we keep him. I've seen him playing a few times and I think he should stay, but as you know, all of our youth-team products have the same fate which is being sold to other teams where they shine and come to the Bernabeu and beat us, it happened once, twice and it will happen again If Real maintain this policy.

I understand that not every youth team player can make it into the first team, but they all must be given some chances. Now, lets face it, De La Red had a good season with Getafe and played well with Spain and he proved that he can play for big teams, therefore, If Real are going to "trade" him with Fabiano or simply sell him even with buy-back clause then that would be bad, very bad.

Last but not least, the gang is coming together for the pre-season. There are some friendly matches to play in the next few weeks, but I know, we won't be seeing any new faces, and trust me this is good, because the current squad is just awesome.

REAL MADRID PRE-SEASON PLANS

Training Camp
On July 14, the squad will meet up for five days of team-building in Portugal's Algarve. Then, for the fifth year in succession, they will return to Irdning in Austria where they'll stay there for ten days (21-31 July).

Big Friendlies

After training in Austria, Real will fly to London to participate in the Emirates Cup where they'll face big teams including Arsenal & Juventus (We'll be covering these matches on the blog).

Los Blancos will then return to the Spanish captial before flying to Colombia to play Independiente Santa Fe on August 7 in Bogota.

Before their match with Valencia for the Spanish Super Cup, Real are scheduled to visit Eintracht Frankfurt on August 12 at the Commerzbank-Arena in what will be a rematch of the fifth European Cup title won by Real Madrid in 1960.

Real will then face Copa Del Ray winners, Valencia, in the Spanish Super Cup before playing Sporting Lisbon for the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy on August 27 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

its totaly wrong when u said that real madrid dont need a striker: all this shits: ruud, raul, higuain.... together r not as good as villa...they didnt do nothin last season "nothing". it was the BEST Casillas that hav make real madrid champion in La liga
real madrid needs to sell many players... with the same team they cant start the La Liga and CL. And also that real madrid need to buy Ronaldo cuz he is unreplaceable. Then there r two more signings for real madrid that should fight for them. Silva and Villa.
Nasri was the one which real madrid missed and they should think about this.
they r other players that cant play for real madrid like: Salgado is #1, M.Torres, Balboa, Soldado, Ruud, Higuain and maybe GUTI

Raul and Ruud, shit? What the hell you are talking about? Raul scored 17 goals or so, Ruud was injured most of the season and in the season before he scored 25 goals and all that is shit, oh c'mon, you have gotten to be realistic, and even Higuain is not shit, whenever he came off the bench, he scored, dude, we don't need Fabiano, believe me, we don't.

I love La Liga, but Epl teams are getting better, Real Madrid won the title but i agree with you yllig, they won because other teams perform poor, what's with robinho is fabiano better than him? if he comes there maybe he will be on the bench but i believe there are better strikers Real could look for in the market, but maybe the coach knows what he is doing after all he won La Liga and i think they will win it again because Barca is getting worse and there are no other team in La Liga who can stop Madrid, as for CL Real is missing something.

Real need a striker but also need to offload Soldado and Saviola, so there would be space for one striker, but if Fabiano is that striker, then i would say Schuster may have lost his focus.

as for Raul and Ruud been shits, thats very funny, Raul scored 18 league goals, RVN despite injuries scored 16 goals. in the world of football 16 goals for a striker is a good score in a season.

I would rather have Villa or Huntelaarrather than Fabiano.

8) No one should judge a teams integrity and performance if they didn't win CL, when U look at the top ten teams in all of Europe most of them has the financial power to perform good, Real, Barca, AC, Juv, Arsen, Liv, Man U, Chelsea, B. Munich... I could even name a few all has the power to win the CL financially, so it's unfair to judge Real on not winning CL. However i can understand if a person is dissapointed if we don't win Liga or even qualify for Europe
