Ruud Van Nistelrooy Injuried And May Need Operation

Friday, 07 November 08, 07:43 AM · Comments (22)

Real Madrid are in a massive injury crisis at the moment. In addition to Arjen Robben who will be out for six weeks, Ramos, Pepe and De La Red, now Ruud Van Nistelrooy joins the sickbay and will be out of action indefinitely and may need an operation on his troubled right knee, sports daily AS reported this morning.

The club doctors carried out stringent tests on Van Nistelrooy's right knee, without yet deciding whether he will need a cartilage or ligament operation.

The Dutchman complained about pain in his knee after the Juventus match which Real lost 2-0.

I don't know what to say rather than being very concerned that Van Nistelrooy will need a long time to recover.

Well, Calderon doesn't have to say something. Nobody can't control injuries.

So lets say he had signed two players this summer, and now they also got injured in addition to those folks, would have blamed him?

This could not have come at a worse time. Javi, Metzelder, Torres and Drenthe will need to step up. Saviola and Higuain will be good. It should be interesting to see how they play together. The Midfield looks solid so someone needs to step up and take charge and lead us through this rough time.

Ruud is the only real striker we have at madrid. Now that hes injured well have to just hope Higuain and Raul start scoring.Hopefully we can get a player like Karim Benzema in the winter transfer market

Well, according to Sky Sports, Bernd says that he isn't going to buy any players this summer. Hell, he should be lucky he makes it to the summer.

Yeah, he should be lucky he makes it to the summer, but the point he tried to make was that there aren't any players available in the market who would do better than the players have. That might be true, but sure there are players who we could sign if we just focus and put all of our efforts on bringing them.

Although the team isn't perfect, it's quite a good one. Injuries are something no-one wants, but no-one can control them as well.
It's time for some creative solutions; Saviola is waiting a long time for an opportunity like this - time to let him try...

we're just in November; give the man a chance. the team - although not playing good - has shown it has sparks. it takes time for players to connect, and it seems like it's getting better as time passes. that's all schusters' doing.

Heard about it...hope it isn't true because I don't think he is a good player for every team.In the Euro Cup he wax RUBBISH...if I were Real Madrid I'd rather go for Sweinstiger (whose contract finishes this summer) or Podolski ;)
