Bernd Schuster, Real Madrid coach, has stated that he is very happy with Real Madrid's performance last night and most importantly with the 2-1 win. Real Madrid beat Werder Bremen 2-1 in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, in their first Champions League clash.
The two goals came from Rau'l and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Rau'l scored his 57th goal in the European competition leading the all time top goal scorers, while the Dutchman has 50 goals and is second. If you've missed the match, you can read my "CL - Review : Real Madrid 2 - Werder Bremen 1"
Schuster praised his team and also his opponents, Werder Bremen :
"The team worked for this victory against difficult opponents," Schuster began.
"We fought tonight and deserved to win". "Our opponents' tactics were not good for us, we looked for different ways to score but Bremen are always a difficult team to overcome."
Eh, he seems that he liked Gago and so he praised him so much :
"Fernando Gago worked hard tonight, marking Diego and we must help him more, but I congratulate him for his work because Diego is a great player," he said.
He has also commented on Raul, praising the all time top scorer :
"Raúl is a fighter, he never gives up and he will never drop his quality," Schuster said. "I'm very happy with the victory, we really worked for it.
"We have some things to resolve; we didn't practice together for two weeks because of international games and we must improve our defense but I'm very happy.
"The pre-season was not as we wanted but at the end of it we started to get better. The results of that work are helping us but we are not at the level that am I looking for."
I just have one thing to say to Schuster, well-done!

Things seem to be going schuster's way and hope they continue like that, otherwise someone gonna go faster than he came. That's all i can say for now. As a madridista am happy with the way things are going though am not loving one character. I dont know why i have failed to find it anywhere in my heart to love this man,i dont know if it's because he substituted one of my favourite Dons. No one knows! Hala madrid
Fidelis, Schuster is doing well until now. I'm just worried that he fails against Barcelona and the big teams.
However, If he fails to get more good results and Madrid sack him, we will be in more troubles.
