Schuster wants more signings + Diarra is a very humble dude

Diarra

Morning,

Bernd Schuster has given a press conference in which he answered a lot of questions, and hot questions too. He has recently complained that he was the last one to know in the club and that Calderon and Mijatovic should always keep him informed.

Here is a recap:

The President has said that Real Madrid doesn’t need a ‘9’.
I am happy that the President has come to speak to me and to tell me what the situation is. We discussed some ideas a while ago and they were pretty clear. It will be good to know if there are any changes.

Since Soldado is at Getafe now, there is a big possibility of a new striker coming. Baptista is seemingly leaving too, which also means that a "9" is needed and in this case I hope it will be David Villa.

Is there still time to sign someone?
We’ve got the advantage of being Real Madrid and knowing that any player would like to join us, whether now or later. More importantly, I need to know how to organize myself. If someone is to come, it should be sooner than later. That said, there are players who might make us wait until the last day but who won’t be as bothersome. For me, the sooner the better.

Yeah, true, the sooner the better.

Is Van der Vaart a priority?
He’s one of many options, but his name has been coming up a lot lately.

Yes he is a priority now, and he has been coming up lately because he is definitely coming.

Are you sure you will be sticking with Robinho?
Yes.

Good to hear more confirmation that Robinho is staying. There have been a lot of rumors surrounding his future but as long as Ronaldo is not here, Robinho is staying.

The President has said that neither he nor the club will be affected if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t come. Would it be a disappointment for the fans?
There are always different opinions. A lot of people are excited about the prospect, others not so much. I think we need to make a move to get the fans excited, which is crucial to our success. If one player doesn’t come, another will, and the fans can be equally as pleased.

Who is Ronaldo? Yeah, he is a kick-ass player, but why all this buzz is about? As Schuster said, if he doesn't come, another will, the train only comes once, Roonie ;)

Have you thought about holding onto Garay?
It’s been a possibility ever since he was signed. We could call on him if we had problems in that position, but we’re hoping not to have any issues with our centre-backs.

I think we have enough defenders this year as long as no one gets injured. Pepe is fine, Ramos is fresh, Cannavaro is making recovery and the other folks should be fine too.

Is signing a midfielder necessary? Aer you interested in Van der Vaart?
Of course we want to improve that position. We can still make some moves, which can also be said about our attack. Van Der Vaart is a player who forms part of our plans if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t join Real Madrid.

This one is a killer.

Alright, Diarra, whom I love so much has spoken about his future. I must say this pal is very humbly and friendly.

Here is a recap:

Will we see the same Diarra from Olympique Lyonnais this season?
I think so. I am ready and looking forward to proving that I am capable. I will start off in the same form that I was in towards the end of last season. My goal is to finish that way, too.

The problem with Diarra last year was that he played with Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations and he returned exhusted. Now, he is fresh and I'm pretty confident he will perform very well, Go Diarra Go!

Do you have a future as a centre-back?
I am a centre midfielder, but I know I cannot play in the same position in 60 matches. I have to be prepared for anything, and although there are many injured centre backs right now, I think it's justa phase.

No you suck as a center-back and so I hope you won't ever have to be in that position, because we will be kicked ass.

Do you think Cristiano will end up in Madrid?
I don't want to speak about Cristiano. I only want to discuss the people who are here or myself.

Tough guy, he gave them the creeps here.

What about Robinho then?
He's not going anywhere.

Thanks for letting us know! Appreciated.

 And Diarra?
We never know where our destiny lies, so we have to always live for the day and give our best. We are all important, but we have to stand up for the team when given the opportunity.
Ah, how are we supposed to interpret this? Never mind.

Well, I guess thats about it. I know I have been so crappy recently, and I have been whinning a lot, but to tell you the truth, yours truely is fed up with silly rummors published everyday. I just want the season to start and so we get to the real work.

More tomorrow... or after tomorrow, I will decide later. (Oh please, bless me with your comments)

i think we dont have any problem in our defence or midfield the problem lies in the forward Rau'l and Ruud are old and Higuain is not capable for leading Real to the top of Europe
Villa would be good and i dont think we need Van Der Vaart i hope Calderon realize that we need a perfect striker for the future :|

We need someoone who can lead us to the top of Europe,
that is the truth!
CL is not Primera,we don,t have such a player now!
And if Ronaldo stays in United, which is now the most
probably option (but You never know),we must find the
new solutions, until that n o t l o o s i n g the power we still have!
Time is on our side I think, I hope :D

I dont think our Front line is too bad I honesty our defense needs more work. We need a world class center back to line up next to Pepe. Canavaro is out and Metzelder does not convince me. I think Diarra is so underrated. He was one of the best players that Madrid had last season. If he were to leave then we would have no one to take his place.

"Our defence" I think Real Madrid defence has world class players, when i watch them played last season the only problem i really saw was they seems not to funtion as a team sometimes. "Our midfield" is good also, guti gives the forwards good through passes. The defence and midfield has to learn how to work more as a team and learn how to link but i know this season will be much better because the players will know each other better. "The forwards" I am still saying Real Doesn't need David Villa, I know Raul is 31 and Ruud 32. But David Villa is 27 this year, I still think Real needs a striker who is about 24 years old, 3 years younger than David Villa. C.Ronaldo who i know some stated as ""coward"" has came out saying he is joining Real Madrid, he is still young at 23 years old

Agree about the strikers!
And let anybody calls him however anybody wants, doesn,t matter!
This Schuster,s complains couldn,t be a good sign!
I don,t like to hear that!
But hope it will be ok!

What Real needs more than anything is a playmaker , ever since Zidane retired we've been having problems making the goal rather than actually planting the goal in the net . Van Der Vaart is a quality signing and I hope they don't mess it up . As for soldado , I'm a lil bit ashamed that the one who broke all the records for the youth teams in Spain with the Castilla would join another team . Real have really "Promising" players in the youth ranks and I wish they would give them a chance some day !
