Iker Casillas
Real Madrid has officially clarified the rumors linking Casillas to Manchester United. The only reason there is a profile of Casillas on ManUTD.com is that the English club keeps a database of former opponents (there are profiles for Guti, Rau'l, Zidane, Figo..etc). However, this doesn't deny that Fergie is interested in signing Casillas, and quite frankly, I'm surprised that he would think he can get someone as Casillas.
Sir Fergie, there is a ZERO chance that you'll get him. He is a loyal youth team product who has proved his worth and If, just, If he was forced to leave (say by Perez), the fans would literally assassinate Florentino and his gang. So my advice to you is to go and build your own Casillas.
Ribery
For the last couple of weeks, David Villa has been our priority and the club's main focus. However, things have changed since Valencia are asking for a lot money and as such Ribery is our priority and main target now. I've heard that the club is in intense negotiations with Bayern and there are many options by which Ribery would come. There is the option of a 50m euro bid or the exchange of players like Sneijder and Robben. The key to all of this is that Franck wants to leave Bayern, specifically to Spain and preferably to Real. He might be the one who sorts it out.
David Villa
David wants to leave Valencia -- as simple as that. He wants a bigger club and in Spain. This leaves us with two possible destinations; Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barca have made a bid for him, one better than Real's, but seemingly not better than Chelsea's. Valencia prefers to sell him to Chelsea firstly because they are not direct rivals, and secondly because they offer more money. Now, guess what? Villa is whinning about it and wants Real who are refusing to up their offer. If Valencia accepts Real bid of 30m euros plus Negredo then Villa comes, otherwise he stays or goes to Barcelona. He is no longer our priority.
Ibrahimovic and Maicon
I personally think that Perez wouldn't be able to sign Ibrahimovic for one reason; his salary. Zlatan earns a lot of money at Inter (I don't know the accurate amount) and we just can't match his salary since we have two other big earners, Kaka and Ronaldo.
Perez might have other plans for him, but I'd definitely rule him out of our agenda. Additionally, Moratti won't sell unless he gets as much as we paid for Kaka or someone like Sneijder or Robben plus 40m or 50m euros.
As for Maicon though, Real have been negotiating with him for a couple of weeks now. I like him, he is a good defender and I believe he can play in many positions in defense, though I don't know If he is comfortable being a left-back, If so, then he is our man.

Well its still the same old thing nutting much have changed. But to tell u the truth i think we need ribery and maicon the most right now. As for villa even if he dont come we still got huntelar and higuain plus vanisteroy thats if he stays though. Selling cassilas is totally out of the ques. infact its absurd!! I heard recently those crapy news about Casillas leaving Madrid and i am still laughing about it,dream on Sir Alex
,and i hope Villa stay with Valencia it will make La Liga more competitive,and our top priority now should be RIBERY,this guy is awesome,he really knows how to kick the ball landing him would be easier than Ibrahimovich i think,and what about Ramos,his fav position is Right Back as well as Maicon,they'll have troubles with each other,and where the hell is the replacement of Cannavaro?

we need a striker as badly as we need defender.wht we have is not enough. Higuain is gud but you can't rely on him to win CL. huntelar is too young to take dat responsibility and not dat gud even. RVN time is over.So if we don't get a reliable striker like villa/ibra probably no chance of winnnin CL. Don't think ronaldo will cover up...he has play as winger...not as a main goal scorer. Ronaldo is the most expensive transfer, Kaka is 2nd behind then comes Zidane. Ronaldo is the highest paid player as well (Ibrahimovic earns a similar amount I guess)

Saviola earns such a high wage because he was signed as a free agent...and since there were other clubs interested....R.Madrid offered a high wage...
Salgado earns too much in my opinion...Ramos,Pepe & Higuain should have better wages by far!!Also, I think M.Diarra's wage should be increased too
That is sad to hear about Villa. I think He really want to come to Madrid but Valencia want to play hardball with the fee. This may mean that Barcelona might be first inline. With over 400 million in debt, Valencia cannot be picky about the fee. They absolutely need to sell Villa and Silva in order to recoup some money. Hopefully they will get desperate and sell as the season approaches.
As for Ribery Franz and Bayern are too stubborn they will not let him go.
Maicon and Lucio are both great players I think they would make extremely good additions. They both have been playing well in the confederations cup. My only concern would be their age. But with them or Albiol our defense would look very good.

In some ways I'm happy that Villa hasn't come- that means our current players such as Huntelaar,Higuain and Negredo will get an opportunity. Although I have to admit that Villa is the best among them.
Valencia have said they do not want to sell Villa- that means Barca won't get him either!
Why don't we go after Ashley Cole- he would be the preferred LB, instead of going after the Arbeloas of this world.

What's with this Villa wanting to come to Madrid?? What a sudden change of heart? Last year he was hell-bent on not coming to Madrid. And he also said many times in the past that he would like to finish his career at Valencia.

Accoring to MARCA we are in negotiations to sign Raul Albiol.. I think this would be a fantastic signing only 23 years old and and is a center back but also can play defensive midfield position.. It says he will cost us 15 mill euros
Real Madrid are in advanced talks with Valencia over R.Albiol,i think he is better than Cannavaro and he will be the perfect replacement

Last year he wanted to ccme to R.Madrid but Calderon didn't want to buy him because Valencia asked for 4m more than Calderon was offering. So in a way I guess he got angered about this...but now that Calderon is gone and Perez has come this situation has changed
the good thing is that Albiol's agent is also Arbeloa's so we might sign both of em easier ..
Guys am affraid that our new president havent learned from his previous mistakes ....
in my modest opinion i think real should do the following :
1) Concentrate more on our crappy Defence , we sold Canna and Heinze is on his way out this leaves us with : Torres , Ramos (RB) , PePe(CB) , Marcelo (not so sure he is a defender he has the potential to be an excellent winger or a sub on the left flank). we should get R.Albiol(CB) and Zhircov is still available why not shake our pockets and get him !!!
2) Our Midfield Now with CR9 and KaKa is the strongest midfield in the world and maybe the history of football if Ribery N Alonso Come along . But we should focus on bringing Alonso and not ribery ( i love him ) but the way i see it we r running out of space and cash , Robben is fantastic and i'm sure he'll be able to fully function on the Left.Alonso is what we need not ribery.
3)Attack : this might be stupid but we don't need any attackers atleast this year WHY ?
Higuain : is fantastic and only can get better next seasons.
Huntelaar: Is Awsome inside the box ,check him out at ajax and holland (Keeper)
Raul : no comment
RVN : is the best we got infront line and believe me he is still capable of giving more he is lethal we know him i dont get it why sell him that cheap (1.25mill) comon perez think think damn it.
Negrado : our J card for extra transfers though i think he is an excellent striker with tons of potential.
As for the current transfer rumors :
Read some Bull about Essien but dont we have 5 DMF already ? Lass , Diarra , Gago , De La Red and the horrible garcia ???

RedsNBlues has a couple of good points, except for that midfield comment. Remember, Madrid is an experiment right now, we don't yet know how Kaka and Ronaldo will turn out so you're going way too far with that best midfield comment. It's even more ridiculous to say it'll be the best in HISTORY if Xabi and Ribery arrive.
IMO, as it stands, the best midfield in the world is Barcelona's by far, then there's Liverpool with Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, and Mascherano. Chelsea also have a formidable mid. Those 3 teams I think have the best midfield in the world. Other top teams also have a good midfield but they're incomplete.
Give gago time.We could regret selling gago.
We are in advanced negotiations for Raul Albiol.. According to MARCA we are in negotiations with Lyon for Karim Benzema after Villa deal was thrown out.. and also according to MARCA we have offered liverpool 35 million euros for Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa.. Gago IMO has the potential to become great footballer but not anytime soon. He has been with us for more than 2 years but the progression rate is not convincing. Just recap on the previous season, he played like he has no vision running up n down way out of his position. Maybe i just blame it on the coach for not telling him exactly what to do. I think loan him is better n wait till be become more mature. Its just hard to bare our club without making an impact in CL for 7 long years.

Ronaldo is going to earn 200,000 pounds per week after tax .. Not sure how much that translates to Euros..
The thing in his contract is his salary would increase 25 % every year over the next 6 years and it would be 500,000 pounds per week..
Kaka also starts at 200,000 pounds per week. Not sure if there is any year increase clause..
We sold Beckham to LA for $200 for five years..

The thing about Gago is that he could shine by having a player like Xabi or Kaka next to him in the midfield. Im a fan of Gago, last season was not his best. But Gago can improve, you shouldnt give up on a player after two seasons. Everyone says the 3rd season will show what the player is made of.
I say keep Gago. Because who will be Diarra or Xabi's sub? Also Kaka's....
I think we must loan Gago because we already have his replacement alongside Lass De La Red he is better than Gago i believe and he is also spanish

He only deserves to be a sub if he stays. and honestly, i dare say he WON'T make any immediate improvement at one season if we keep on relying him to do what he had been doing. He CAN'T be overlapped with Xabi in a CM role but he can definitely can remain as the sub of Lass but i prefer to keep M.Diarra. He is way more reliable defensively. It's obvious that Gago is just an average player as a pure defensive midfielder.(nowhere near Mascherano or Gattuso's above average level.)
i also just want ask if there is any particular evidence indicates that he will be shined with kaka or xabi or sth???? cuz i don't see any!! not yet!! even DLR could have a much less wrong passes than the argentinian does.

Gago was basically a sub when M.Diarra was healthy although Gago did play sometimes M. Diarra started most games and play pretty well... now we have Lass Diarra and maybe we might add Xabi Alonso.. maybe sell just one
Gago is young he just turned 23 and still has time to get better and I think he would be a fantastic sub to keep for Lass Diarra and Xabi Alonso if he comes.. I like M. Diarra as well but one might have to go and M. Diarra is I believe 27.. maybe keep M.Diarra and loan Gago for a year and see if he makes any improvement

Well you can't say what difference one single year can make...just look at Higuain for example...up to last year he was missing every chance he gets and now look at the difference!
....we'll have to see whether or not DLR can play anylonger...i do prefer him from Gago...however I don't think Parejo is better than Gago...I think he should be loaned out.
However I do agree that he should not be a starter and I have big doubts about how happy he'd be to be loaed out so I'd use him as a frequently used sub
On a different note Di maria has said he would be willing to answer a call if R.Madrid called him...I think this guy has enormous potential and he could become a real star...if I were Perez I'd keep Robben and use him as a sub since Robben gets injured frequently

for the LB well my guess is perez is thinking that we already have LBs (torres,heinze,marcelo) which either of them are convincing but RB we only have salgado and ramos. if ramos gets injure then we only have salgado which i think way pass his prime. well anyway it still puzzle me with torres. which position is he playing LB or RB??

In defence of gago; he was brought in as a midfield playmaker. That's what he did at Boca. At Madrid they've tried to convert him into a ball winner. I would like to have seen Gago with 2 ballwinners behind him. I think we would have seen a different player - but who knows.

If this is true then it would be fantastic buy. Albiol is young and a good defender. He will slot in next to Pepe quite well. Next should be Ribery considering that his agent has said that he would rather come to Madrid than to Barcelona. Franz and Bayern have to come to the realization that if a player wants to move on he should. Keeping a player agaist his wishes hurts everyone involved.

Fernando Gago was initial being used as a "CREATIVE CENTRAL MIDFIEDLER" at 06/07!! but it didn't turn out great because he was too new for la liga. However, by the frequency he always delievers wrong passes and his disablility to control the tempo, I can tell u that HE IS NOT THE ONE WE CAN RELY ON IN SUCH AN IMPORTANT ROLE. at least not right now!! he is not mature enough to handle this jobs. his careless passes always got us in danger against some counterattack team. Xavi was surrounded by 3 white shirts and had no help, he rarely ever loses the ball. Pique made a mess of the clearance but Ramos still had a chance to fix things up and he couldn't have done worse, that is some amateur defending. And that's not the first time either, remeber against Barca? A hobbled Henry took him to school, whereas Puyol shut down Ronaldo AND Rooney when he played at right back.
Calling him the best alongside Maicon is an insult to Maicon. Dani Alves is better, Maicon is better, Puyol when he plays at right back is better, I don't like Bosingwa but he never makes those mistakes. The only reason Ramos looks good is because he plays in a horrible defense at Madrid.

I would accept Arbeloa. Now that I've cooled down, I realize that Ramos is a great prospect for the future. But for now, his defense is a joke. He is great going forward and I love his runs, but as great as he is attacking, he's that bad defending. I don't think anyone from Spain's U-21 would take the touch that he did inside the 6 yard box. Maybe not even U-18s. When the ball is in the 6 you have too options, let the keeper claim it, or CLEAR IT!
A better defense might be:
Arbeloa-Pique-Albiol-Puyol
I've seen Puyol play at left back and he does an equally good job. Pique's forward runs are entertaining to watch, now there's an example of a defender who can add to the attack without forgetting his defensive duties.

Well, Spain have to take some positives from this game. I still think they are the favorites for the World Cup. A fully fit Silva should start over Riera, Senna should start ahead of Alonso when he's healthy, and Iniesta should definitely get the nod over Cesc. The US coach came out and said that the key to their win was neutralizing Xavi. Which is smart considering that Spain's midfield centers around him, but what pissed me off was that Xabi Alonso nor Cesc could step up. I think Iniesta was sorely missed in this tournament, had he been there, a lot of pressure would have been lifted off of Xavi.
David Silva was missed too. Riera and Mata are good at crossing, but unlike those 2, David Silva has the ability to cut inside and either play a pass or take a shot.
But the defense is the main concern. There has to be better defenders in Spain, Puyol is our oldest defender yet he is our best defender. I like Piquenbauer a lot though and I think he will be one of the best in the future. I like Albiol but imo he's not very spectacular, solid, but not spectacular. I don't see anything about him that will tell me he will be a top 5 defender in the future, but he's still good. Capdevilla and Ramos should really step it up next season.

Mate, at the US game, Xabi Alonso was not bad overall. u gotta rememebr that he was the only ball winner in the field. And his main duty is to win the ball back whenever dispossessing. if u wanna blame someone who failed to control the midfield. You should blame xavi who is the CM. Xabi Alonso had not delievered one wrong passes at all. he touch the ball less than he normally does cuz his role is different in the last couple games in the national team. In fact, he shouldn't hold the ball long but should pass to xavi, the central midfieder immediately when he got the ball. cuz he is the only defensive midfielder in the midfield when Senna isn't there.
what i try to point out is that the main duty for a central midfielder is:
1.To distribute the ball decently.
2.To maintain the bond and to control the tempo
3.To turn defense into attack
4.To cover up at the top of the box or even deeper
5.To tackling around to reduce the ball winner's pressure.
gago was okay in 4. and 5. but he needs to improve for the first 3 if he wanna play as a cm, while he is not as tough as the 2 diarra's defensively. In our CL match against Liverpool, Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano set up the perfect example how a central midfielder and a ball winner should partner up together. we've already got an outstanding ball winner lassana diarra. i won't judge a player in a few games. Likewise, i won't think S.Ramos will be a bad defender by just one single mistake---a vital one that kills Spain. He is still a great defender cuz no one doubts his ability overall. cuz he has already proven something to us.

Alonso was the sole ball winner but he was only against an average US team.He got his work cut out.And his passing wasnt really top notch.
Meanwhile Xavi was tightly marked and therefore he couldnt really do anything and this was the time for Alonso to step up but he didnt.

Alonso was the only defensive holding midfielder in the midfield if xavi is looked as the playmaker. actually del bosque attempts to use two holding midfielders, but none of them are typical ball winner. and i believe if they play against some team at brazil's level, they will use marchana, a more defensive player. anyway, alonso was the deepest one in the midfield. And Spain simply had all 4 games under their control, even yestersday's game against US. Their midfield has everything under control but just hardly find a gap to score under the tight defense, so was the Iraqi game. Hey why is everybody blaming Spain's loss on Ramos because of the single mistake he made? My view is that the game was lost before Ramos made that mistake...I'd blame the central defence for the loss because if it were not for the offside flag...the score would have been much worse. The other two reasons Spain lost were because of Xavi's poor passing...(I know this seems strange...but yesterday Xavi made some terrible passes), also because the players Del Bosque chose (starting Riera instead of Silva,Cazorla) and lastly because the USA had a brilliant defence a goaler.
