Transfer Updates on Ronaldo, Ribery, Villa, Silva and Kaka

Monday, 08 June 09, 06:18 AM · Comments (64)

The shirt Kaka signed while on international duty.

Ronaldo

As you've probably heard, it has been confirmed that THERE is an agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent. The bottom line of the agreement is If Ronaldo doesn't come to Real because he doesn't want to, then he'll have to pay us somewhere in the region of 30m euros, and If we don't agree to sign him we'll have to pay him a similar amount. The deadline is the end of June.

You know what, I think this is very ridiculous. The price tag is 80m euros. That's what Ramon Calderon agreed to pay to Man UTD. I'm a nice guy and I respect all people no matter who they are, but I have to say that Senor Calderon was VERY DUMP. He put us in a difficult situation and it is unfair for Perez to be in it. But this is part of Perez' duty as president -- cleaning the old mess.

This will probably make us lose focus on our targets. Perez says that his friendship with Man UTD and other clubs is much more important than signings and I like that. However, he'll try to bring Ronaldo but he knows it is going to be difficult. The most difficult part is agreeing on Man UTD's price which is 80m euros. That's a lot and I think he deserves what we paid for Kaka.

Perez has already hired lawyers who are studying the contract and figuring a way out of the deal, but I think this is a good chance to bring Ronaldo, although we'll have to pay a lot of money for him.

Ribery

Because Perez will likely pay Cristiano Ronald tons of cash this summer (whether we sign him or not), other deals are being on hold or it is time for "re-think strategy". Bayern thought that Perez robbed a bank and wanted to get as much money out his pocket as possible. One of Ribery's two legs cost 50m euros, their general manager stated. Well, that isn't funny, but sure, his legs worth millions. Bayern are asking for 70m-80m euros, and Real can't go higher than 60m euros.

So here is whats going on:

Perez: Hey dude, you guys take Sneijder and Van der vaart, and you gimme Ribery, sounds good?

Beckenbauer: Naaah, dude, I want some cash. If you can't pay, gimme Metzelder to make it three for one, how about that?

Perez: Ribery aint Maradona!

Beckenbauerr: Alright, Sneijder and Robben and you get the French dude for free.

Perez: mmmmm, let me think about it.

So as many newspapers have reported, Real are looking at the possibility of getting Ribery for free in exchange for two players. Those include Sneijder, Van der vaart, Metzelder, Drenthe, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. So it is basically that Bayern pick the two they want and get them.

I'd be very diasppointed If Sneijder, Van der vaart or Robben were offloaded. As I said before, the best thing is to loan them, but I think it would be worth it If we exchanged them for Ribery.

For me, Robben is untouchable. I think it would be a stupid mistake If we included Robben in the deal. I'd also like to have Sneijder as a backup for Kaka, but once again If Sneijder plus Van der vaart means Ribery, I'd be happy to let them go.

Villa & Silva

Chelsea has tabled a 40m euro bid for Villa, and Valencia will try to get more by using Real, but David will be the one who decides. He wants to stay in Spain and he can either go to Real or Barcelona.

Barca are trying to offload Eto'o and are keeping an eye on both Inter Milan's Ibrahimovic and Villa himself.

It has been also reported that Real have already been in contact with Silva and will present an offer to him and Villa next week.

I don't know where those two will fit in out squad. We already have four strikers in Rau'l, Van Nistelrooy, Higuain and Huntelaar (excluding Saviola who will definitely leave).

Since Rau'l is untouchable, one of the remaining three will have to go If Villa comes and it is likely to be Van Nistelrooy.

Tottenham are said to be interested in him. He still has one year left in his contract and doesn't want to leave, but it is most likely that he does.

Kaka

He is deal done and everything will be made official at 12:00 AM CET If not earlier.

in my eyes ribery is not worth more than 45 million euros, and robben at least 30, sneijder 25..and I've read at sport1.de that sneijder's agent claims his client wants to stay in madrid, and neglects a move to munich..and one info: beckenbauer has nothing to say in bayern, he's only a representative, the man who transfers players is uli hoeness, that's a matter of fact that only Germans seem to know..beckenbauer isn't always informed, so you shouldn't give too much of importance to what he says..I think 80 millions for ronaldo is a fair price, since he's a lot younger than kaka and he's at the moment the better player..but I'm not too concerned either way, because I trust Florentino 100%! when starts kaka's news conference today?
hala madrid!

It is true that Uli Hoeness is more concerned with transfers at Bayern since he is the General Manager, but I still think that Beckehnbauer has a lot to say.

Bayern know deep down that Ribery doesn't want to say and they can't do something about it. They just want to get as much money or quality players as they could.

Kaka will call a press conference once the two clubs announce the deal officially.

what do you think the correct price should be for ribery and ronaldo? I mean, ronaldo is fifa wolrd footballer of the year, and ribery has only won bundesliga, and there vdv was one of the best three players..I would prefer real madrid bought benzema and ronaldo..

I think Ribery is worth as much as Ronaldo and Kaka, but I'd keep it in the 40m-50m region. Ronaldo doesn't deserve more than 60m euros.

from the sports perspective, I almost agree, but economically, ronaldo is by far, much more worth than ribery! so I don't think 80 millions is that a exaggeration. although it would be wise to buy ronaldo next season..the effect of buying a galactico a year is much better than three in a row.me for example, I won't buy one ronaldo, one kaka shirt in the same year..and I don't think ribery is a galactico yet, he just hasn't won enough for me to see him as a galactico.

Im so excited about the Kaka deal.. the confederations cup starts this weekend so it might be hard to do a deal with the players until June 29th when it will be over so I think during this time we can get a good start on Ribery, and Ronaldo, also Marcano from Racing.. and sell some players to make money

David Silva looks the likeliest to come considering he cost much less.that leaves just one more room for a wide player between Ribery and Ronaldo.

footballing wise,Ribery seems like the better choice since he is more of a team-player in the sense that he passes more than he shoots !
however,Ronaldo would bring what a "galactico" would bring that is increase in merchandising sale.

so,what is it gonna be for Perez ?

KaKa in white FINALLY , but this christiano ronadlo pre-agreement is pretty annoying 80 million ??? we can buy silva , villa , chillini instead but it will be awesome watching both 2008 and 2007 players of the year restore our lost glory

Ive read that perez isnt willing to pay more than 22 m for villa and 18 m for silva and i think the price tag is plane ridiculos ... lol planning to spend more than 60 million for ribery and hez acting all cheap about 2 of the best players in the world again i think silva + villa = alot more than ronaldo or ribery alone .

Xabi alonso is good but dont we have 3 players playing in his postion , and i think lass is more than capable of doing xabi's job

but again it will be a thrill watching 3 great players working along
Ribery + KAKA + Ronaldo = 10 CL trophies

my real dream team for next season shall be :

ILKER
Ramos-------PePe---------Garay--------Maicon

-------------------LASS

------------------KaKa-----------------Ribery

-------Ronaldo-----
VNR/Higuain---------Vila/Huntelaar

RVN = should stay
Robben = should stay
Sneijer = should stay
Drenthe = loan
Gago = loan
Marcelo = should stay
VDV = out
Saviola = out
Salgado = out
Raul = out ( HIGUAIN # 7 )
Guti = out
Garcia = out
De Lared= should stay
Metze = should stay

and thats whati think is best thing for our current squad ....

Perez should tell Beckenbauer to f*** off. Ribery is good but come on guys, SNEIJDER.... VDV....ROBBEN. Those guys are really good. Sneijder experienced a Dip in form after injury but that dont mean we get rid of him. He's really good and so is VDV who i think jus needs more time on the pitch. And RObben dont even get me started. That guy is the SHIT. Remember he's play against liverpool... Though we lost i think he had a good performance. And so did LASS. If Beckenbauer Wants two players we should give him Drenthe And......

Hmmmm

Who......

GAGO :-) or even Guti. Lol

Like thats gonna happen hehehe. He another untouchable. that we need to sort out. Vice Captains dont get laid off anyhow.

I donno wot to say really. Sittin with my fingers crossed feelin totally excited bout how next season will turn out for us with these big name signings. But i'm kinda worried too. There r reports that the buy back option for Negredo has been exercised. Perez wants to trade him in for another player as we all know. Have u ppl ever wondered why Rafa Benitez or Villareal and others are so keen on him? Are we missin the plot here? Morever with Granero playing so well, i figure with a wee bit of polishin he'd do pretty well, but... I just hope our youth don't return to haunt us a'la eto'o. For starters i'm sure Huntelaar is capable of doin so if someone like..... Utd. land him perhaps :s

i totally agree with Daynight that selection of players to stay and loaned out is pretty much what i think as well.Calderon messed up the ronaldo deal by agreeing a contract that is way above board.although i like ronaldo as a player that would sll merchandise at madrid but the 30million fine is way too much to loose for nothing here Calderon was very dumb how could he say yes to that.
Alonso is not necessary at madrid there is lass and mamadouh diarra.Villa is very vital coz if we dont sign him and he goes to barca oh my god we will leave to regret coz he will come to haunt us i would rather get villa then bench Mr raul.Silva is also good for madrid so is raul albiol and marcano from racing for the left back position coz heinze should leave.

Lets not go down the loaning players out route. What is the point of loaning Sneijder or Robben? None whatsoever. You're treating them as up and coming youth players - which they clearly are not. These players should be kept, if they have any role to play in the team - or just sold, used as make weights to get players we really need.

Sneijder or Robben, or Gago don't need to be loaned because they already have experience at the highest level! What, are they going to learn more by playing for Getafe or fighting relegation with Valladolid? Of course not. SELL, SELL SELL!!!!!!

I havent posted in a while, I've been on holiday but all this transfer gossip is making me nervous. This is exactly how we undemine players and make them want to leave. Part trades, player swaps? We may have another Robinhoesque transfer. I personally don't want Ronaldo even more now with this rummored agreement to pay if we dont sign him. I would rather have Ribery and believe me Bayern must sell him as he and Lahm are their only prized players. As for Abiol he should be signed first since we need to overhaul our defense. We have according to all websites secured our star signing in Kaka now lets buy players that we need not stars that wil not fit in the squad. One last thing, I hope that Kaka can adapt. He has played countless of years as a supporting striker and attacking midfielder what we need is a playmaker. We will have to wait and see.

Welcome back -- I hope you had a good time.

Yes, I also think If we get Ribery, Ronaldo might not be needed, but it seems that Perez is fighting on all fronts.

As far as defenders are concerned, it worries me that nobody is on our agenda. I've heard of Vidic and Albiol but nothing tangible. I wonder If Perez is thinking of Zidane's y Pavon's again?

nothing offensive, but this looks like a "suicide" lineup with no defensive and no balance at all. only lass appears to be a holding midfielder?? this is exactly how the 1st galactico era dream team was collapsed. u can put simply put 11 strikers in teh field but still won't get good resulf without a balance. when maicon or ramos goes up, lass has to cover up, so who remains as the jam in the midfield?? don't tell me kaka and ribery!! with such an offensive lineup. only one striker can put, cuz Ronaldo and kaka are ALREADY there, so no need to put two strikers. further, spend big amount to get maicon who might be forced to play in his unfamiliar left back position, i will use the same amount to get philip lahm, the best left back in the world, who is also capable to play as a right back.

alright well it looks official that Kaka to madrid. he passed the physical exam and will give the press conference as everybody has mentioned. i think madrid has a lot of options for the summer and its pretty obvious through this thread. one thing madrid cant afford to forget us about defense...which is where we struggled last season. yes we have a lot of options in attack but defense needs to be improved. Garay who is coming this summer automatically is not enough. i think heinze is done and we need a left back. torres is good but not starter yet, marcelo as we have seen is a left wing and not back. we need a left back who is young and with a ton of potential my opinion Juan Vargas (Fiorentina) Madrid were looking at him last summer until the summer love with CR7. we also need another center back with the departure of cannavaro...albiol name is being thrown around. interesting summer ahead of boys. HALA MADRID!!!

Just Ribery pretending that he doesn't even know who Florentino is.

Then he says that he honestly doesn't know where he is going to play next season. Bayern are losing their patience with him and are saying either sign a new contract or leave.

So it's all bubbling.

So our midfield could be:

Ribery / Raul ------Lassana-------Marcelo

---------------Kaka-----------------

By the way, Raul is not my idea - that's Marca who think that Ribery will have to fight against Raul for a place in the team.

Naturally.

in my opioion real need only 4 players 2 be a great team. i.e 2 central defendants and 2 midfiders, thus real need a left or right wingers. Real should not sell all the players that r good but sellthose they dont need or r not effective.
Thus players who need 2 go must be
Saviola - does play @ thus he should go
ruud van- must go cuz he gettin old, missed last 2 seasons only played half.
canavaro - gone already
royston drete- says real fans hate him so let him go were thinks fan will adore him
guti- his bad behaviuor 2awards mangers n players needs 2 go

The players they need 2 buy since kaka is cummin, the other is david silva

my team would be

iker in goal

defenders- ramos,2 ne central defendes plus marcelo or henze

midefield - robben, silva, kaka, diara

strikers- higuian and huntellar

raul shoulde be benched cuz he is retiring this cummin season

note 2 many changes distroys teams. barca, manu r great cuz they keep the best n not sell all players thus ronaldo, villa not need maybe ribery if david silva is not cummin

in my opioion real need only 4 players 2 be a great team. i.e 2 central defendants and 2 midfiders, thus real need a left or right wingers. Real should not sell all the players that r good but sellthose they dont need or r not effective.
Thus players who need 2 go must be
Saviola -...

forget about Heinze, he is horrible. Marcelo is only great in offense but he sucks defensively, we need a left back so badly.

Rather get Ronaldo for 75m than not get him and pay up 30m, for 30m we could buy Villa easily. So buying ronaldo sort of saves us 30m. So really we're buying him for 45m.

I Live in the states,im romanian born,so there's no conflict of interess here!Since romanians didnt do much since '86 Steaua,I cheer for the best leagues and teams in Europe and im a big MAN United fan,for over 30 years!!But Ilove good Football,so I like all the big teams, such as Liverpool,Arsenal,Chelsea,Barcelona,Milan, Juventus,Inter,and last,but not least Real Madrid!Although I like both KAKA and Ronaldo,I think they're both extremelly overrated and the sums paid for them is an insult to all the hard-working,struggling people of the planet!no human beings are worth that much,even if they discovered the cure for cancer!Im watching this farse and i cant believe what's going on!I watched KAKA the whole year and i'found him very predictable,and got lucky few times from the outside area,as did Ronaldo!Ronaldinho,with a fair coach,still takes both of them to school!!Extremely overrated and predictable players for 'disappearing' 80 min in mostmatches!PATO MAKES KAKA AN..AMATEOUR!!Real didnt need any players, at least not these two, since I think That ROBEN IS BETTER THAN BOTH OF THEM, AND SCHNEIDER A CLOSE SECOND!AND ROBEN DOES SOMETHING ELSE KAKA AND RONALDO DOESNT: HE WORKSLIKE A HORSE ALL OVER THE FIELD, HE IS A MORE USEFULL PLAYER THAN BOTH OF THEM! THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MAKING A BETTER TEAM,THIS IS ABOUT...EGO! THEY NEED THE 'MOVIE STAR' STATUS WITH THESE TWO! BUT YOU WILL SEE THAT BOTH RONALDO AND KAKA WILL BECOME WHAT OTHERS BECAME AT REAL, LUXURY, OVEREPOSED,OVERPAID ..REZERVES!EVEN RUUD COMING BACK WILL BE BETTER THAN THEM YOU WILL SEE!REAL HAS THE TENDENCY TO'DESTROY'BIG PLAYERS,WITH FEW EXEPTIONS!KAKA showed all he can do,hes done!Ronaldo willbe eaten alive by the likes of Puyol!If he thought the english defenders were rough and the refs biased,welcome to Spain Ronaldo!They will break your legs!I saw 100 better players in Copa Libertadores than these 2,its all image and business as Real will make a fortune!Barca has no worries for now!
