Real Madrid made headlines when the deal to land Man Utd flamboyant winger Cristiano Ronaldo was announced almost two weeks ago. Some said 80M€ was a bargain deal for a player of CR7 caliber and some said that 80 mill is far too much to spend on a spoiled brat ( their word not mine).More over people dwells upon whether CR7 came searching to satisfy his l.o.v.e for the value of the madridismo and the sole of the best club in the world or he's searching to deepen his already very very deep pockets and well some also said that he got tired of the ladies in the UK its Madrid's ladies turn. A man can ponder but, it looks like Ronaldo is a greedy dude like so many people think.

Boungiorno,
I wish I didn't check my RSS feed this morning because I didn't like what I read. I'm also pretty much sure that you were annoyed by the first part of the title I used. It is just that I thought I needed to talk about this since the Telegraph is reporting it.
Calderon is probably the most controversial person who has ever been in charge at Real Madrid. I never understood him, and found some of his decisions irrational and a bit stupid. Sacking Capello, selling

That could be true, because the English press (the trusted one) is reporting that he has registered a new trademark "CR9". His current one, which is printed on his shirts, is "CR7" which is basically his initials and shirt number (that he wears at Man UTD), but if he leaves for Real Madrid, he'll then need to change it as Rau'l, Real's legend, owns the shirt number "7".
"The digits "CR9" were copyrighted last month in his Portuguese homeland to be used on merchandise or as the name for a restaurant or bar. The Telegraph, explains"
"CR9 was registered by his agent Jorge Mendes at the National Institute of Industrial Property in Lisbon. Ronaldo has already registered CR7."
What makes true is the situation Javier Saviola, who wears the number 9, is in. Having failed to impress anyone at the club, Saviola is set to leave probably as part of Antonio Valencia's deal.
Personally, and as I have said many times on this blog, we are NOT in a big need for RONALDO, I'd rather sign Ribery who would cost us less than 120m euros that Real are reportedly offering to Ronaldo.
This saga makes me sick.
End rant.

The following post was written by Kristen which she first published it on her blog but allowed me to republish it here after doing some editing. Thanks Kristen ;)
Okay, before I get all the hate comments from all the Man Utd fans and all the Cristiano fans, just read. You will see what I am talking about....
Alright. Lets see here. What was Cristiano doing the last half of the summer?
Answer: Getting orange and going to the ESPYs in LA.
What was just about everyone else doing?
Answer: Working for the upcoming/ongoing season.
How did Orangie....I mean Ronnie spend the last part of Euro 2008?
Answer: Faking and diving his way into the further stages of the Euros....that is until they played Germany! WOO!
Cristiano's Euro 2008....
Still worth stupid amounts of money, but not as much as when the tournament started. Showed some flashes of brilliance, but proved with his displays of petulance and frustration that he is not a team player.

Juan Villalonga, a guy who intends to stand against Ramon Calderon and compete for Real's presidency has said that players such as Messi, Ronaldo and Kaka should be playing for Real Madrid. In other words, he wants to adopt the Galagticos policy again.
"Players such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka should be at Real Madrid. I will copy the model that Florentino used," Villalonga told radio station COPE.
Copying that model is not a smart thing to do. AC Milan are doing it right now with signing Ronaldinho and David Beckham (on loan), and they might be doing well, but it won't work at least not in the long-term.
The key is to bring in players if they are really needed. We sacrificed Makeleele for Beckham, Morienties for Ronaldo..etc we simply wanted big names not players who would fit well into the team.
I'm not saying it was wrong to bring all of those players, but it was wrong to do it non-strategically.

Bernd Schuster has revealed that Real Madrid will try again to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Ronaldo was heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer, but due to Man UTD's unwillingness to let him go, it all failed.
However, the German trainer hopes that by next summer, Ronaldo would be a Real Madrid player:
"We must do everything possible as it would be worth it to have this player," Schuster told Spanish newspaper Marca.
"I think this year it will be a little complicated for his club to hang on to him."
Real Madrid made...

Morning everyone,
After two days off at the beach in sunny Rome, here I am back in businuss. I thought that I missed a lot, but clearly, there hasn't been that much.
Robinho's situation looks to be quite at the moment with Real refusing to negotiate with Chelsea. Ramon Calderon has stated during an interview with BBC that Robinho is definitely going nowhere. He said that Bernd Schuster insists that the Brazilian international is an integral part of his squad and there isn't any replacments for him and there won't be as such a player is very difficult to replace.
Personally, I have always critisized Real Madrid for their treatment of Robinho. I myself have felt many times that he was undervalued, but you can't say for sure what has been going on between himself and the club unless you are...

This morning, news from the Spanish media reported that Ronaldo has indeed pledged his future to Manchester United. This ends the saga that was started since the start of the transfer window between the Whites and the childish Ronaldo.
In an interview with Publico, the Portuguese star takes blame for everything and take responsibility for the damages done to the relationship between Real Madrid and Manchester United. He stated that at some stage he really wanted to join Real Madrid and knew they made a large bid for him but due to his team's unwillingness to sell him it was not possible. Ronaldo also said that he will honor the shirt he currently wears thus denying that he will be forced to play and will prove his worth all over again.
"Ferguson heard my arguments, I heard his and, in fact, it was settled...Read Post »
