This evening, Jimmy Briand will find Franco Douglas on his road. The big Brazilian (1m92) is an unquestionable holder within Dutch central defence where he evolves next to the captain Rob Wielaert. The 20-year-old player imposed himself since his first competed match, last December, against Heereenven, the ancient team of Peter Hansson.

After a training to Joinville Esporte Clube in Brazil, Franco Teixeira Douglas arrived at Ajax Amsterdam for an internship in August, 2007. But the leaders were not persuaded of his qualities. It was not the case of FC TWENTE that was enticed by this size. And the club did not make a mistake since it accomplished very good performances under the vest of Tukkers. Notably in finale of dams facing Ajax. The Brazilian sickened Klass-Jan Huntelaar. However author of 36 purposes in 39 meetings, international Dutch was unable to find the way of nets.

During interseason, Ajax wanted to become attached the services of Douglas. But since Eliero Elia, noticed by Espanyol Barcelone, he decided to stay in Enschede.
