Los Merengues have decided to accept the Blues' offer after meetings on Monday saw the Spanish giants decide to use the money immediately to sign two players that coach Bernd Schuster wants, according to AS.

Robinho's transfer will be made official later this week, while Madrid will lodge bids for both Huntelaar and Capel as quickly as possible in order to open talks.

Negotiations with Sevilla will be swift as Madrid's offer of €15m matches Capel's buy-out clause and all that will have to be decided is whether or not the player wants to move.

The 20-year-old has stated in the past that the only club that he would leave the Andalucian outfit for is Madrid and now that will be tested with an official offer.

Huntelaar has been linked with several clubs, but Schuster's insistence that he have another striker before the start of the new campaign has pushed the board to make their move now.

Valencia are refusing to accept any offer for David Villa, so Madrid will press for the Ajax striker to join them in the next few days in a move which will delight the German trainer.

An initial offer of around €25m should see the Dutch club willing to open talks and the Bernabéu outfit will hope that the Netherlands contingent already in their ranks will help smooth the deal through.

Schuster has been keen to sort out the Robinho saga and add to his squad after becoming infuriated that the club's summer became focussed solely on the unsuccessful chase for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Capel Favourite To Replace Robinho?

Saturday, 23 August 08, 05:46 AM

Real Madrid have ended the Robinho conflict by announcing they will discuss an amicable resolution with the player so that he can complete his dream move to Chelsea. The 24 year old former Santos wunderkind is now expected to depart the Spanish capital within the next few days, leaving Los Merengues the need to fill the void.Barcelona-based daily Sport has now speculated that the La Liga champions have made Sevilla’s Diego Capel a favourite to take over from the Brazilian at the left flank. If so, it will set up a tantalizing tug of war with arch rivals Barcelona in final week of the transfer market. The Blaugrana have been chasing the sprightly left winger ever since they failed to lure David Silva from Valencia. But there have been no reports so far of the Catalan behemoths making any official approach for Capel and it is believed that they are not in any desperate need to sign him.Capel made his international debut for Spain in midweek in the 0-3 win at Denmark. Coming on as a half-time substitute, he helped turn the game around in favour of La Furia Roja and made quite an impression with his dazzling display and two assists.Although that was only one game, he has showed that at just 20 years of age, he can cope with the pressure, expectations and hype on the pitch; the three key ingredients that accompany a big move to any major club. Capel’s profile will suite Madrid perfectly. He only has a buy-out clause of €15 million, less than half of what the blancos are expected to get from the sale of Robinho and he is a near-identical player to O Principe. The club president, Ramón Calderón has also previously stated that he would like to have more Spanish internationals in his squad and Capel certainly looks like a player who will have a long future ahead of him with La Selección.

Another advantage for Los Blancos is that Capel’s agent is also the brother of Madrid rightback, Sergio Ramos.
