Wow, super-hard draw. So far I have it down to Zizou v Garrincha and Pele v DiStefano. This is very hard.

This is an unenviable task. I couldn't pick from ten let alone just one.

But I remember reading that Maradona deemed Di Stefano to be the greatest ever. That's a good enough reference for me.

In my life time, though, it would have to be Zidane.

diego is king. He did it all, for his national team and for his club teams.
zidane is next in my eyes.
messi and cristy should not be listed, they are pups and still have alot to prove on the international level.

But De Lima Ronaldo from Brazil will be my all time favorites. he is the best ever forward to have gone through the big teams like Inter, AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid. he was just awesome. and he still plays for Corinthians and they won the Paulista in Brazil. so he is performing well.
i wish he returns to brazilian national team.
