All right friends,
We finished the first category and it was a very good discussion to select the BEST ARGENTINE player. But not surprisingly the winner was Diego MARADONA with 46% of the votes and Lionel MESSI came in second place with 31%.
Both of them - MARADONA and MESSI - are qualified for the final election!!!
Now let's move to the next category. FRANCE.

Don't forget...Zinedine Zidane is the reason why France won the World Cup in '98. I don't like him, but it's true. Some people (mostly Brazilians) say it was a fluke because Ronaldo wasn't healthy
and at his best, but Zizou did what no other Frenchmen before him had done and that was... win a FIFA World Cup. Therefore, I think he deserves to be named as "the best French player ever". Any
arguements?
Aziz, you might think that you know something about football but you don't know anything, if you don't know that Yazid is the middle name of Zizou. I agree with you Shaun.

lempira: Thanks. Chaco: As much as I would love to agree with you (Henry is my favorite striker), I can't. Zinedine Yazid Zidane is #1. Henry is second.
Everything has changed, when Henry tied Platini's record, v. Faroe Islands. Here's how I see it now:
1 - Zinedine Yazid Zidane
2 - Theirry Daniel Henry
3 - Michel François Platini
I think Platini was the best french soccer player since he scored more goal in less game played than Henry

Yazid is the best French player ever. Second is Platini, third Henry,fourth Papin, 5th Juste and Cantona doesn't deserve to be here.
Wow ... I think it's not fair to say that Cantona doesn't deserve to be on the list. He's is not the best but he was certainly talented. He was an asshole outside the field and also short tempered
(so is Zidane) but he was very good with the ball. He is one of the responsibles for Manchester United's uprising. I don't know Yazid but I think the best should be: 1st. Zidane, 2nd. Platini, 3rd.
Papin
