Was 1-1 a fair score for Man United vs. Chelsea?

Sunday, 21 September 08, 03:41 PM · Comments(7)

In a way, this one ended as it should.

Manchester United needed at least a point following last week’s loss at Anfield, and they got it with the 1-1 draw. Chelsea, on the other hand, controlled the game from midway through the first half to the end and certainly deserved their point to keep the incredible 85-game unbeaten home record.

In a game with two heavyweights and plenty of pace and space throughout, the final score was in a way disappointing because of the neutral result and at the same time not all that surprising.

For United, it still leaves them with questions as they try to battle out of this early season funk that engulfed them last year, as well......

no....i think chelsea deserved to win. Manchester United were fully in control of the game until the 25th minute.Mind you, chelsea looked very poor. But then chelsea started to dominate and the reds were suffocating.Cole had one easy chance, but effort went wide. The other chance that he got was harder, but al least he should have hit the target. Anelka could have gotten a hattrick, one shocking miss from a Cole pass! Ballack had a few long range efforts, but didn't test Kushack.Kalou too tesed the gk after he came on. While chelsea had numerous chances, United had a few: namely Fletcher(twice), Park(scored), Ferdinand. the rest were all half chances like Breba's lob, etc. So i think chelsea deserved to win. But one negative apart from the draw for them would be the performance of Lampard and Anelka.

no,it wasn't.Chelsea deserved a win.Despite their somewhat poor performance in the 1st half they used their chances well unlike Man U.
