I totally forgot that there was Champions League action last night. I had some friends over, and we were eating pizza, watching South Park and playing with Siri on an iPhone. Sad but true.
Obviously, tonight's Arsenal game is what I'm most interested in when it comes to the Champions League. The Europa League is a different story. As readers of Dinamo Arsenal will know, ever since January I have had a fixation with a certain Manchester City enfant terrible, and am looking forward to watching him play for the first time since Parkergate. Then there's the continuing involvement of both Legia Warszawa and Wisla Krakow, not to mention the marvellous-sounding Stoke vs Valencia tie. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Last night's results didn't really interest me. I see Vedran Corluka got bookd on his Bayer Leverkusen debut, but well done to him for going there on loan. It means female Arsenal fans like me can look at pictures like this, guilt-free. Also, APOEL fans went to Lyon and put on a bit of a show, so here it is, for your entertainment.
Finally, this doesn't really belong here because Panathinaikos aren't in a European competition right now, but on the grounds that they were at the start of the season, here's a fantastic video I found of their political tifos. I didn't realise they were anti-fascist. Good on them.
More to follow when there's more than 2 games to report on.
God bless, Jenni xx
