Underrated Players

Tuesday, 07 October 08, 01:59 PM · Comments(18)

This weekend i saw my team lose yet again, and saw a fantastic goal by Geovanni of Hull City, formerly of Barcelona, Benfica and Man City. And it made me think of how many players are underrated and are simply not given enough credit, so i made this new post for you to share who you believe should have get a shout , and why?... Xavi of Barcelona, is a quality midfielder, but i rarely here praise for him.... Just name one or two... Tell me all....

why the rubbish text?

i'd go for Jermain Jenas. All spurs fans slag him off and yet they are never as good when he doesn't play.

can't be for no reason.

David Suazo of Benfica. Fifteen minutes into his debut for the club (against Napoli) he already scored a goal. Too bad he's injured. He's on loan from Inter Milan and no doubt that if he can continue to astonish fans in Benfica.. Inter Milan will secure his services again next year.

Wilson Palacios of Wigan Athletic isn't underrated. But he doesn't get enough praise. He is only 24 years old and has already received an offer from Arsenal after only playing one season in the Premier League. Manchester United also stated that Ferguson is willing to pay up 18 million pounds to secure his services in January. :O He's an amazing player and anyone who watched him play against Middlesborough last match can see that. True talent. Definitely looks like he can go places during his career. Still got another 8-10 years to go so watch out for him.

Absolutely.
Jenas is probably the most underrated player in the entire Premier League. Amidst the ruckus on the underperforming Modric, Dos Santos, Bentley & company, a lot of people are ignoring Jenas, who's been the most consistent, yet unsung, hero for the Spurs.

Great new post mate and there's nothing wrong with the text - The man clearly has issues 8O

Back to the question at hand of underrated players? There's so many... At Spurs it would have to be Woodgate (not Jenas) who has been by far our best player, this season despite playing in a struggling side. Allegiance to one side i would have to say Essien deserves a shout, as he is a Colossus in midfield and rarely gets the praise and plaudits that he deserves... Others worth a mention but hardly household names, would be Tuncay of Boro & Davis of Bolton. Both work tirelessly for there teams and they can make the difference, yet i have to admit i still wouldn't want them at Spurs, as they wouldn't suit the image of the so called "Tottenham type of player". Yet we could still do with some grafters like that right now?

I agree wiv u totally adspurs Xavi and Iniesta are never singled out for praise they're up there wiv da best!!! Fabregas plays for an English team Arsenal the bastards and barely makes it into his nation Spain's first team while Xavi and Iniesta do and still he's rated higher than them, I mean they are way better than him if it weren't for Xavi Spain probably wouldn't have won the Euros!!!

Id say one of the really under rated players is Ricardo Quaresma. I watched one of his old Porto games yesterday and he scored a really amazing goal with his trivella technique and I think hes just really underrated
