Let me begin by declaring that as a Barca fan, I am anti-Real Madrid, but by no means anti-Manchester United. Our meetings in the Champions League were well played and I congratulate you on your championship of both the Premiereship and the Champions League. With that being said, I am interested to hear what you Man U fans have to say about the recent comments by Tottenham about your beloved Sir Alex, and his "hypocritical behavior" in his pursuit of Berbatov.
In an interview today with the Chairman of the Hotspurs, he charged Ferguson as wreckless, disrespectful, and hypocritical because actions taken in pursuit of the Tottenham striker, Dimitar Berbatov. Now as I understand what must occur during the pursuit of any top flight footballer, I do feel that there is some legitimacy in the Chairman's complaints, at least as far as the hypocrite comment goes.
I have heard much groaning from Man U fans about the way Real Madrid has persisted in the crown jewel of Old Trafford, Cristian Ronaldo, and yet it seems that much of the same persistence and confidence (or arrogance) is being done in pursuit of the crown jewel of Tottenham. Fergie made a formal complaint to FIFA about Madrid's Calderon, and it seems that now he is the one doing to pursuing.
I don't know all the facts, but I'm interested to hear and see what you Manchester fans think. Let the discussion begin.
Alleagues - Calm down, "immoral" is as silly a label as "slave" is for someone on a million pound contract. At the end of the day it is business. I'm annoyed because I'm a Manchester United fan and he is under contract. I appreciate the Berbatov paralells but two wrongs don't make a right. As for Tevez, I can't believe you think he was only bought to prevent him being bought by others. This neatly brings me on to Daniel Morales's comment. Carlitos Tevez is an extremely good player, in my opinion better than Rooney - but that reinforces why he is a good player for us, it would be ludicrous to buy him and then bench him. How can you overrate Sir Alex Ferguson? He won European competition and domestic league with a Scottish team and then went on to be the most successful manager ever in English football and a double European Champions League winner.
Get your facts then speak on the situation.
Daniel don't be a hater it's not a good look. How can he be overrated when he's had so much success and achieved so many things as a manager?
Allleagues saying Ferguson has no respect for players who have done alot for him, i know you're talking about Ronaldo's situation but don't speak with hate speak as a mature football fan. Ronaldo wasn't worldwide until he came to United, no clubs were chasing after him and the media never cared about him.
When Ronaldo 1st came to the EPL and always lost possesion in positions that created goals or goal scoring opportunities for the opposition the media was saying Fergie wasted his money, Ronaldo is no good.
Who stuck by him and defended him in interviews time after time?.... Ferguson!
When Ronaldo got Rooney sent off in the World Cup and the English media and Anti-United football fans like you were calling for his head, who stuck by him?... Ferguson! So please, please, please do yourself anf everyone else a favor and don't repeat that bullshit.
Beckham never wanted to leave, Van Nistelrooy never wanted to leave and Keave even worst get you damn facts staright.
You're obviously speaking from a haters point of view.
Oh boy. The newspaper that "quoted" Ferguson for this story was The Sun. Turns out that he was misquoted by The Sun, and now not only is Ferguson suing them, Spurs look like idiots for running with the story instead of calling United first. Ferguson never said the name Berbatov, he only implied it, which is perfectly legal of course. There was no harm done here, because 1. United has already made a bid. 2. Before Ferguson would even think about making a deal, he would have had to have some knowledge from Spurs that this could happen. 3. Spurs want to sign Arshavin and Bentley, they need the money, which makes me believe they will eventually accept United's offer. And 4. As much as Ferguson has been complaining about Real's behavior this summer, it would not be smart of him to do the exact same thing.
Alleagues,
What are you talking about? Ruud left because he became a problem in the dressing room. Beckham got greedy and wanted money for the rights to his iamge, so he had to go. Keane...bless him lol, Keane trahsed his teammates so he had to go. Ronaldo is just being swayed by Real, he knows its best for hom to stay.
United runs a 4-4-2. Rooney broke his foot the first game of the season, Tevez did not have a proper preseason, so he was on the bench for a few games. Tevez and Rooney then played together for the majority of the season. Tevez may have scored more goals...1 more I believe. But Rooney is a better player than Tevez. Trust me, I watch almost all of the games. I know what I'm talking about here.
Fergalicious Hypocrite? All the top managers should be relentless in pursuing their goals or maybe they wouldnt be the top mangers they are. Now let me get on to the point of Real "High Horse" Madrid in their pursuit of our Number 7. This is an Organisation which feels because it gets Back handers from the spanish royal family and all debts wiped by mysterious benifactors they are somewhat Superior to every club on the planet??? And have the devine right to take every clubs best players. I'm pretty sure this kind of mentality is what pissed Sir Alex Ferguson Off and everyone else for that fact. We are The Currently the best team in Europe like it or not until someone else takes are crown, which wont be Real. Where did Real end up in the chamions league 07/08? Beaten home and away in the first knockout stage by an average Roma. So someone tell me, how can Cristiano Ronaldo going there be a step up? Calderon might think he's some football royalty at the helm of a super power, wake up and smell the coffee! i'm pretty sure the premier leagues top 4 would wipe the floor with Real and put my feelings aside towards Liverpool, they will knock Real out of the competition this year and to top it off Barca have got their cards marked this season. So Real, Get off your High Horse!

I hate Ferguson! he is a hypocrite! I was explaining to one of my friends who is a Man U fan, how hypocritical Manchester United is. Ferguson has no respect for the wishes of the players who have done a lot for him and Manchester. Examples include Van Nistelroy, Beckham, Keane and now Ronaldo. It seems that every time a high profile player wants to leave Manchester he has a problem even after players have given him every possible trophy their is to win. People talk about Ronaldo being greedy but Ferguson is the greedy one. Even his purchase of Carlos Tevez, was greedy, he bought a great striker who helped West Ham beat him twice the season before last and then benched him just so his opponents wouldn't get the player. There is no way in my opinion that Rooney should be starting before Tevez and statistics show, that even though Tevez started off the bench he still scored more goals than Rooney. Don't get me wrong I'm not a Real Madrid fan, I really don't care if they get Ronaldo or not, but Ferguson just makes my blood boil, I HATE THAT GUY! And he is the one with no morals!
I'm surprised that you're surprised by this overrated manager's behaviour.
