With the credit crunch in full swing, everyone losing their jobs and money in short supply it’s time to cut out the little luxuries in life. Heinz tomato ketchup products will lose out to the supermarket own brand alternative, there’s no room for Fox’s biscuits any more – and word is that the bottom is literally falling out of the Brazilian transsexual hooker market.
So with these er... be-jewlled hookers in mind, it is with some delight that I can announce that Ronaldo's much anticipated comeback could happen earlier than expected – presumably furnishing his bank account with some well needed cash for those lovely ‘girls’.
Because you see - apparently Ronaldo will be on the bench for Corinthians' Brazilian Cup match against Itumbiara on Wednesday, and his coach said the veteran striker was likely to enter the match sometime in the second half.
"He is ready to play 45 minutes and my intention is to start him on the bench," Corinthians coach Mano Menezes said on Tuesday. "It's possible he will play some minutes in the second half, depending on how we are doing in the game."
Local sex worker Alfredo ‘pussyflame’ Garcia (possibly pictured) agreed, gushing “without his well needed contributions, we would have to turn to Bebeto!” The comeback would come less than a week after the three-time world player of the year was fined by Corinthians for missing a team curfew.
Local media reported Ronaldo arrived late at the team's hotel after staying out partying last Friday. The missed curfew cost the job of the team's technical director, former player Antonio Carlos, who reportedly hosted the party which led Ronaldo to arrive late. The director told reporters on Tuesday that the incident was one of the reasons he was leaving the club.
Next stop – further career embarrassment? One can only hope not for the former Samba genius...
