Shady financial dealings abound, it seems, in the murky world of Premiership referee-age. No, we're not talking about brown envelopes stuffed with readies, or the mysterious off-shore accounts of some Italian officials, but the fact that referee Mark Clattenburg, one of the youngest and best of the current crop of clowns that look after our beautiful game at the highest level in this country, has been suspended after his MC Electrical Retail NE Ltd company went under in June, according to the BBC. With debts of an alleged £60,000, surely the guy should be cut a break so he can earn a bit of green from reffing the Community Shield on Sunday and his regular schedule in the Premiership? What numpty decided that cos a guy is in debt, he shouldn't be allowed to earn a buck. I bet his name is Brian, and I bet he's Barwick-shaped. Cock jockey.
