First of all, apologies for the blatant attempt to piggy back on the title of the best film I’ve seen in a *long* time. Hey, I’m sure they won’t mind as they’re counting their squillions.

Anyway, has Ramos completely lost the plot or what? The guys at Tottenham Hotspur Mad actually think it’s all part of some long term, krazy plan the Gaffer’s got going on to trim and hone a squad into a lean, mean fighting machine. Fat fucking chance. Spurs always have been and always will be a mid-table side, nothing more, nothing less. Occasional Cup success belies the fact that they’re just there to make up the numbers. Fact.

Let’s take a look at those going out of the door. Tainio, Kaboul, Chimbonda –gone. Malbranque, Gardner – cheerio. Most squads could deal with that, trimming the fat, losing the dead weight. But Spurs? Is there going to be anyone left to watch? Then Paul ‘England’s Number One Whoops There’s Another Howler’ Robinson legs it. Shortly followed by short-arsed, definitely-not-over-the-hill-and-to-prove-it-I’ll-sign-for-a-massive-club Robbie Keane. I hope he has a new pair of tweezers and an understanding WAG, cos she’s gonna spend every Saturday pulling the splinters out of his arse. Think about it.

So what’s the plan Juan(de)? If Berbatov exits oop North, then what? Play the academy side and clean up at the bookie’s? Only time will tell, and perhaps the big pot of cash that the manager is sitting on might buy the chairman a shiny new boat, cos the one the Russian bloke down the road owns has taken his fancy. Let’s just wait and see. Hopefully the wheels will completely fall off.
