Luton have had a bad lot of it this year… From cock-bag Barwick stealing 30 points from them earlier in the year to more bollocks from the FA, they’ve struggled against all adversity and somehow still (just about) have an (admittedly very outside) chance to stay up, and have made the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley – in what will no doubt be a fitting swansong to the loyal reams of happy Hatters who have stuck by their team throughout.

OK, so we love breasts, big tackles and boozy players – but as well as all your favourite footballing frivolity, I think that blogs like us, our oleole.com chums and everyone out in the wider blogosphere have a responsibility. A responsibility to do whatever we can to bring sporting injustice to the wider audience, and get fan power back on the agenda! For too long the FA has been dicking over 'smaller clubs' – and my pal has recently let me know about this Facebook group representing Luton Town... Perhaps the most unjustly treated team of the last year.
Everyone knows the story (if you don’t, click here) but as a result of the FA's treatment of the Happy Hatters (the deduction of 10 points for "transfer irregularities" that were nothing more than technicalities - payment...

Once a DSOTB regular, always a DSOTB regular so said the archivists of our fine blog way back in err… July ’08 – but today’s actions from old Donaldhino (Don Hutchinson to the uninitiated) have proven this naïve calculation wrong, wrong, wrong. For today the chicken-haired old Scottish warhorse has set a real example to all other footballers of his (and the next six or seven) generations after him, has put up a generous injection of cash to Luton Down [ooh, catty] FC, by turning down his final pay packet after being released by the hatters, and offering to sponsor two promising youth players, Scott Sinclair and Jake Howells, for the entire season instead. What a legend!

Everyone loves goals! Goals, goals, goals baby… But the beautiful game is about so much more. Although I’m pretty sure that everyone at DSOTB will openly admit that their favourite ever moment of football has been goal related (my personal most delectable moment was that sublime Gazza goal against the Scots in Euro 96) who can deny that a fuck-off tackle, with full-on venomous power and passion can be just so satisfying to watch.
Getting the ball is not enough… This is war! The big elbow crunching the swift winger who’s been running rings around a big centre back all day right into the stands. Or the big foot following through the ball and *smash* into the man.
Therefore, although we may feature the odd goal on DSOTB, we don’t really want to compete with the best in the business. After all, if you want aw...

Somewhere deep in the bowels of Soho Square, a balding dwarf sits atop his dusty throne, chuckling to himself, as the next devious twist in his plan falls in to place. Picking up a chunky cherry-red marker in his gnarled fingers, he strikes a large cross through Luton on his map, chuckles nastily and all-but consigns another club to the footballing scrap-heap. Yup - Brian Barwick is in ecstasy. Wheeling away with one fist raised in salute to his muse and confident Sepp Blatter, he has scored another powerful strike in his plot to turn the beautiful English game into nothing more than a commercially-run profit-fest for those big clubs ‘that deserve it’.
For anyone who hasn’t seen the news, ...
