After DSOTB's recent post about Didier Drogba bought agreement and absolute consternation in equal measure *I'M NOT A MAN UTD FAN OK* - I thought we'd cheer our most vocal opposers with this charming video created by some of those cheeky types at rathergood.com...

There’s nothing like top level football for witnessing grown men hurl toys out of their pram with indignity suited only to a tiny wailing child, but while the unlucky Darren Fletcher was unfairly sent off last night and took the referees blatant idiocy with grace and patience of a saint, tonight Didier Drogba showed a whole different side of footballing temperament.
For as referee Ovrebo had to be escorted from the pitch by a platoon of stewards, Drogba was apparently bent on a physical confrontation. To compound his intimidating behaviour, the Ivory Coast international then turned to a television camera and screamed into it, describing the official as a "f----- disgrace".
What a cunt... Yeah – the referee had a stinker, but hell Drogba is beginning to bore me. Screaming like a twat is all very well in terms of passion, but why doesn’t he back it up but I don’t know... buying all the fans who turned up to Cata...

He may be years gone from English football, but the charismatic Jose Mourinho is never far from the headlines, and has sensationally labelled former club Chelsea ‘an embarrassment’ as Manchester United pirouette unopposed to the title, in what’s turning out to be a bit of a damp squib of a title race.
Mourinho was speaking ahead of his Inter side’s Champions League visit to Old Trafford, where the Italian champions will hope to capitalise on a 0-0 draw in The San Siro to progress to the quarter finals. Adamant that United are not as good as people make out, the self-styled Portuguese hero says that despite their seven-point lead in the league, that he “would not allow a team of [his] to be so far behind. It is embarrassing in early March.”
“Yes Manchester United a...

Ashley Cole – what will you do next? Good news for Cheryl as her international twat of a boyfriend has struck again... This time being arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly. Err... Suspicion eh – how does that possibly work?
Mr Cole was held after swearing at police officers outside west London's The Collection bar and restaurant, BBC crime reporter Ben Ando said – allegedly after feeling the pressure from the paparazzi, or was it Fiona Phillips to blame, and kicking off thusly. He was taken to a police station and given an £80 fixed pena...

Anyone got any money on which Premiership Christmas Party is going to lead to most rape allegations this Xmas? We suggest Big Phil Scolari may have some on his own boys, as he’s recently banned the horny pair of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka from attending Lil’ Wayne/ Akon’s big Christmas party taking place in Christmas week, no doubt ensuring that the boys will be hammering some piece of cheap capital hooker (who are relying on footballers, as the credit crunch is biting hard) come their own party paid for by the big-money boys at Stamford Bridge.
It’s a shame for them, as it sounds like the shindig is going to be big news – with the rappers even importing snow from Greenland to give it a real festive feel. An anonymous source suggested that "The footballers were really up for a big night out but the bosses have said no", ensuring that they won’t be hobnobbing with the likes ...

OK, we all know he shouldn't have done it - icon for loads of children, setting an example, Respect Campaign etc. etc. - but if I'm brutally honest, if some bloke had thron a coin at me while I was at work, chances are I'd throw it back at him.
These Premiership players are at work when they are on the pitch, and like it or not, the chances are they're going to be a little bit better than your players if you're a Burnley supporter. So what on earth makes someone think he has the right to throw a potentially lethal missile at Drogba? It's a mixture of jealousy, immaturity and plain old ignorance. 'Fans' that can't see past their lowered brows ruin the game for the rest of us who want to see pace, finesse and pure skill. Throwing a coin at a player is plain wrong.
But throwing it back? Stupid - surely. Immature - definitely. Against the rules - undoubtedly. But morally wrong? Like I said, if someone threw a coin...
