The Debate:
To celebrate the closure of the transfer window I want to take a brief look back at some of the best, and some of the worst signing's Rafa has ever made. In his time at the club Rafa has found some real gem's, but when he get's it wrong, boy does he get it wrong. So my question for you guys this week is:
What are Rafa's best top 3 signings?
What are Rafa's worst top 3 signings?
And who is the worst player to ever wear the colours of Liverpool?
My Thoughts:
Best - here are some good contestants for each of these categories, but if I had to narrow it down I think that without a doubt, Torres has to be the best signing's that the gafa has ever pulled out of the hat. El Nino made an instant impact, scoring against rivals, Chelsea and became a huge hit at Anfield. Second on my list would have to be Mr Alonso, even though he left. The Spaniard was influentual in the center of midfield for us. The true measure of this signing is the profit made on his departure, with the club receiving over £20M profit. Finally I would have to choose Pepe Reina. It is no secret that the club had struggled with goalkeeper's in the past. In fact the only time our goalkeeper's became top quality, is when they left the club for somebody else, I.E - Friedel and James!
1) Torres - 2) Alonso - 3) Reina
Coming to my top three was no way an easy task. I could have easily made a top ten list which would have included the likes of Johnson, Kuyt, Skrtel, Agger and Mascherano.
Worst - Number one is without a doubt, Robbie Keane. For me, the price that was paid was absolutely scandalous for a player who did absolutely F all. I mean, come on! Keane cost the club almost the same amount that Torres did, but was nowhere near the same standard. If Torres is a Ferrari, then Keane is a Fiat Punto. Second I will have to say Kromkamp, I have absolutely no idea what the club saw in the player, he was utter pony! Last on the list is going to be Nunez. Who you may ask? EXACTLY!!
1) Keane - 2) Kromkamp - 3) Nunez
As with the best signing's, it was not easy to pick. Actually that's a lie. Keane was number one by a galactic mile! I could have easily added the following to the list: Degen, Itandje, Gonzales, Morientes, Zenden, Etc...
I think Rafa's bad signing's seriously out weigh his good ones, although that is debatable.
So, here we have it, the worst player to ever wear a red shirt is:
Sean Dundee. I can confirm to you that it wasn't his house that burnt down, so that's a bit of a disappointment... Wasn't he meant to be the new Rush? Yet he played 2 games and was shipped off. What a utter waste. Shocking.

the best sgnings torres, alonso and masherano.the worst lucas, keane and nunez
One of the best signings Rafa has pulled off is Gerrard, it looked at one point that he may have been off to Chelsea, but thank god he didn't.
As for Nunez, well we were forced him in the Michael Owen deal, Rafa wanted Morientez but Real said NO, so instead of getting him in Part Ex, we ended up shelling £6.5 Million on him!!!! Saying that, £6.5 million seemed good for a proven international, who had a awesome scoring record, shame it never worked out for him.
Best: 1. Reina 2. Torress 3. Kuyt
Worst: I don't care to comment. Rafa can't be blamed for the Keane debacle completely, but generally I don't want to slag any Liverpool players, past or present.
I don't know why I misspelled Torres.
best: 1. torres, 2. flabbie alonso (ps that's not mean, i just always call him that so take no offence) 3. agger/kuyt...... i think i'm cheating there
worst: not his fault it didn't work out although he really has has some bad ones that anyone could forsee failing
lucas is NOT a BAD signing people who hate him put him down and takes him to the lonely road of failure
