Ya Merito con la sub-20

Monday, 16 July 07, 04:21 PM

Mexico almost made it again, this time, stopped at the quarterfinals. This line would sound like deja vu if you lived the Era where Mexico was able to pass for the second time to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in 1986, held in their own territory. However, this time, the details are different: Mexico's Sub-20 division made it to the Quarterfinals in the Sub-20's World Cup held in Canada. The similarities? The team was stopped by a team with world recognition (in 1986 was Germany and this 2007 by Argentina) only because they were able to score on the mistakes that were made by the Mexican Squad. Although Mexico went all the way to the penalties in 1986, the mistakes were that they missed their shots while Germany made the best of them and were able to score, making it to the finals [note: Germany reached 2nd place of the Tournament,,,,hmm,,,, has Mexico lost to a 2nd place team recently?] Mexico's Sub-20 Division lost only because of a single mistake that cost them the ticket to the next round to the Semifinals of the World Cup. The awful pass after a throw-in was awarded to Mexico made Argentina charge and steal the ball close to the box of Mexico's goal. Once in the zone, it was either do or die and the word TIRA! were in the mouths of every Argentinian fan that were watching the game. The kick was detoured by the leg of the Mexican Defender and if it wouldn't be - that shot could have been stopped. That did not happen. Argentina was able to capitalize on that mistake, keeping Mexico out of their zone and keeping them away from the goal to that could have change history. Once the game finished, the heat started to cool off and reality set in - Mexico had lost the game. Although Argentina won, they had to suffer for the score to stay the same for the rest of the game and not let Mexico in anymore - something that never used to happen in Mexico's soccer history. The Era "Ya Merito" [So Close!] for El Tri lives on but it is undeniable that this Era is vanishing and Mexico is getting much closer to the gold, to becoming another great team in this continent. Argentina and Brazil, watch out, Mexico is on their way to the top. The Sleeping Giant is waking up.

i laugh at u... ur such a good... dos santos is brazilian mom mexican hes not even full....now aguero is better than dos santos without a doubt because he just turned 19... he played a whole season
with altetico madrid top division(unlike dos santos in B)aguero scored some of the nicest goals the argentinian top division has ever seen... n besides he has the 3 nicest goals of the tournament in
the under 20 the free kick, the sombrero n the one he leaves the goalie for good....ur wrong because its argentina whos on the rise to glory... when
tevez, mascherano, messi, aguero, banega, gago, insua, higuain all turn 26-30 thats wen ull see the best of argentina! unstopable in years to come.

Hey JLuis, don't pay any compliments to Mexico or any of its players. Tony will absolutely devour your arguments with the absolutely infallible "tonylosophy." Remember, we're just good at eating
tacos! LMAO.

Frankly, I could not care less about nachos. Burritos on the other hand are always very tasty. Don't forget tostadas de ceviche and I got a killer recipe for achiote shrimp. Really tasty shit.

Tony, its people like you that give Us argentinians a bad name.. from the nonsense you speak, i can tell that you are not even in high school yet. So, stay in school and when you get some education,
you might learn to stop talking nonsense and bashing people because of their origin. Yes Aguero is a good player, and so is Dos Santos, who cares if his full, half or if he's a brazilian playing for
mexico. El pelotudo sos vos, gil!!!

Tony, Sergio Aguero plays for Atletico Madrid in the top division in Spain, but Gio dos Santos will play for Barca in the top division, too. Barcelona is BETTER than Atletico Madrid, so...what does
this tell your retarded ass? Giovanni dos Santos is better than Sergio Aguero. Haha, Tony just got schooled. As Ever said, you should stay in school and get an education, if you even know what that
is, dumb-ass.

tony ma friend mexico will rise to the top of the rankings, all credit to argentina for gettin there but isnt jus about time that we see a country that has gone from the ground up to have some
dignity in their manner of playing for their country. we see dos santos still waiting for his turn at playing at the big leagues and when he does you will then see the real soccer star. you try and
play for barcelona at the age of 16 or 17 or even 18 then come and speak to me.
