The Stepover

Any footballfan will definately know about Cristiano Ronaldo and his beautiful footwork, and we all know what a magnificent player he is (despite the constant critiscm about diving)

We all know that he has made the stepover a valuable part of his list of tricks and we all know that he used these moves long ago during the early stages of his career, now with his suden and extreme popularity (after the worldcup and last season) we have seen numbers of average players trying to add the stepover into their style of play and I truely think this is wrong!

Firstly it takes skill and style to do the stepover, anyone can do it but it matters how you do it!

Secondly it used to be a spectical to see Ronaldo doing his tricks now it is becoming over done and over used now I no longer have to watch Ronaldo I can just watch Watford or Wigan and see a dreadful attempt at doing a stepover from everyone from the striker to the goal keeper!

The point I am trying to make is that if posers keep forcing the stepover and do not let it happen to them naturally then we are just going to get bored of it and get tired of seeing it!!!

Posers are taking the spectical of the stepover away from players like C.Ronaldo, Robinho, J.Cole and Ronaldinho(to mention a few) and turning it into a widely used trick and thus taking its magic away!
