What funny is that in reality, there are not that many "Real Football" fans. Many people just get dressed up and cheer and show up to a game every so often. They dont really know the players, the tactics and rules. I call them "Posers", every team whether club or country has them.

The Mexico-Argentina game, brought out many of them last nite, I was there, along side my die-hard amigos. You see I spend too much money going to games whether it be MLS, Friendlies, International Team Cups. My personal relationships often get strained because of my love for the game, as well as my pocketbook.

Every Mexican in the World, about all 120 million of us, knew that this one was going to Argentina, Last time 3-0 loss in the Copa America, 2-1 loss in extra-time in Germany 2006, 1-1 loss in penalty kicks in the Confederations cup in 2005. Dont to forget the Under World Cup, when Argentina knocked out Mexico in Canada.

Argentina is a World Power in Football. The way they move the balon, with ease and steadiness, the quality of players that are produced out of the country. The Sad thing is they have not raised the CUP since 1986 when they had the legendary Diego!

So whats more of a shame to be a country like Mexico, who is average team, that only advances to the round of 16, or a team like Argentina, with all its european stars that cant seem to accomplish winning any international tournament.

Mexicans are very proud people, we inherited the land of the Mighty Aztecs and Mayans. Some of the Worlds most Advanced societies. We are mixed with Spanish,French,Basque to name a few. Our Forefathers defeated the Spanish and the French, when we were considered by history to be simpled minded people. We helped built the USA, and still are doing so! We take pride in being Hard Working People!

Mexicans expect the National Team to Perform with the same spirit and drive. But the Heart is missing! Mexico has quality players, Europe is finally seeing that.

Is Mexico slowly becoming the England of Concacaf. I know thats a comparsion, since the only World Cup Mexico has won was the Under 17 in Peru.

If you knew what happened against Argentina in San Diego, You would have seen. Personal Defensive Mistakes, that were punished by Argentina.

Goal #1. Wheres Carlos, I understand in Man Marking, but No one is marking the far post, Nicco is all alone, Torrado cant clear. Being in the right place at the right time paid off!

Goal#2 Who's marking Messi, why would You let a World Class player like Messi, free roll around your box, no one picked him up, Magallon, Ponce? what about a Torrado picking up the run into the box.

Goal#3 The old man Sanchez, all the experience playing and too expect the ball to roll out of bounce and NOT COVER THE NEAR POST! I cried Memo, who didn't play since Club Americas Semi-final in Ecuador against Liga de quito, in the Copa LIberatdores.

Its a shame, to give chances to a team that will mark you pay!

I know Mexico was without Memo, Marquez, Nery, Dos Santos, Prado to name a few of the regular starters.

But what gets me, is why Chucho would field Under 23 players from the shameful U-23 team that failed to qualify for the Olympics, to go up against Argentinas World Cup starters minus Tevez.

Mexico played decent to be kind, it pressed the Argentine Defense alot, won alot of corner kicks, and got alot of shots off. Argentina just weathered the storm.

Mexico's able to not finish also haunted them.

Peru is next in Chicago, Peru lost to a slug Spanish team by 2-1.

I know Peru is Missing Farfan and the "PIZZ" up front but Mexico is shorted too.

I'm surprised we don't sing Cielito Lindo at the game.
