In the close season slumber- where the highlights for LOTW seem to be looking at kitchens and getting annoyed at plasterers not turning up- I must admit it was no great surprise to see this story flashing up on Sky Sports News newsbar. A bar that for us fitba fans is the lifeline until the pain starts.

Must admit, I never questioned the story. Nakamura is in his last year of his contract at Celtic and a move if a decent offer came in it widnae be the biggest surprise since a sober Ned on giro day. The only surprise was that the bid was from Bologna and not some bigger club. I also never questioned it also as the quotes seemed pretty real....

"We want to build a great team at Bologna and the first new face I want on board is Nakamura. We have already formalised our offer to Celtic, so they know the conditions of the proposed transfer.

said Alfredo Cazzola the chairman of the newly promoted club.

Then these quotes appeared wie Celtic saying this

"We've never heard of the cunt who has claimed Bologna has made an offer for Shunsuke Nakamura. In fact we have never heard of Bologna the only Italian we know is Super Mario who sold us Massimo Donati last year for a couple of gold coins and an extra life.

Alfredo's lawyer then decided that he would look oot his best horses heid to put in someones bed when he said.....

"The statement was completely made up, and he is appalled in the face of this scandalous way of doing journalism."

The Italians seem to not know the workings of The Daily Record a paper that makes the Beano look like an intelligent read.

Here at LOTW Towers we are disgusted that The Daily Record has joined the ranks of Gutterblogging by using fabricated quotes, a practice LOTW has used badly and won nae awards for in it's numerous years of existance.

The fact that this article was written by a slavering joke of a man who is as demented as a ships rat on acid makes this a sad day for gutterbloggers everywhere. What's worse this guy still has a joab and still whines every morning on a national radio station where he reads the back of the tabloids and calls it a sports bulletin.

For the record, LOTW believes that Naka will see out the final year of his contract. But......that is no news.
