Eurocast episode 3, the Euro 2008 podcast, - plus predictions day 4

Morning all,
welcome to day 4 of our Euro2008 predictions and Episode3 of the Eurocast. Not one person got a correct prediction for yesterday's games. The closest was Dan who at least predicted 3 goals for Holland. My forecast for today's game comes after much scientific analysis and a visit to a medium. Every little helps.
Spain 2-0 Russia
Sweden 2-1 Greece

Now, the Eurocast. In this episode Tom Thom(p)son and I discuss Holland v Italy, which was the best game of the tournament so far. We've got some of your voicemails regarding that game too.
We also talk to our French correspondant Ollie about the France v Romania game which was probably the worst game of the tournament so far, as well as some voicemails from a particularly unhappy Romanian fan. Have a listen to what he says because it's an interesting debate. Should football teams be more expressive even though it'll probably cost them, or is the defend at all costs approach acceptable?

Myself being Scottish I have to put up wie that type of shit from the press all the time when Scotland fire 9 men behind the ball and get a draw or (like against France twice) a sneaky win.
Yes, sometimes you have to accept that you haven't got the players but I didnae see The Swiss, Austria, Turkey, Poland and any others so far playing as ultra defensively against better teams?
They tried to have a go...

Romania v France was dreadful. Both teams were rubbish but at least Romania played to their strengths. France underperformed in a big way.

Sorry for the slightly angry comment there guys :). My main point was that we CAN play much better football and we have in the road to qualify to Euro 2008. When we beat and drew Holland and finished above them in the group, we didn't play this kind of 10 man defense. We have quality on the team, especially in the attack. I mean, yeah, France and Italy have much bigger names, but they're old and outdated. We have a young team that has good pace and a lot of technical ability. We have I think more technical ability than Croatia, but we have the physical ability way beyond that.
I think against Italy, especially when seeing them crumble against Holland, we'll open up the game and you will get a better taste of what I'm talking about. At least i hope so, because speaking as a person who has watched every game for the last years, I know what we can play like, and this isn't it.
