Honestly Ronaldo was foolish and immature for using the press to publicly try to abandon Man Utd. Second of all, Fergie is like the godfather everyone fears to double cross. Ronaldo knew he was screwed to get Fergie to change his mind on the matter, but there are rumors going around that he has agreed to let Ronaldo lave after next season to Madrid for the 80 million euros madrid put on the table. On another note, Mourinho is at it with his old ways of talking trash. But the man has a way of showing it on the field with brilliant logic and strategy. As annoying and arrogant he is, the man deserves everyones respect.

It's hard to respect Mourinho. If there was the slightest bit of him that was humble then maybe but he is a horrendously arrogant man.

Thats thing, when he took a virtually unkown Porto team to a champions league win with barely any star players other than Deco, the man deserves a little bit of leeway for his arrogance. Not many coaches in this era of football can do it like he did. They call him Mr. Anti-football, but in this era its all about tactics.

True enough but I hated that Porto team. I remember the UEFA Cup final against Celtic and being genuinely staggered at the way the Porto players behaved. I've been watching football for a long time and I've never in my life seen anything like what they did that night.

So for me he's absolutely tainted.

That Porto team had ability but thier antics that night were direct instructions from the bench.

They were on the verge of collaspe and decided to cheat thier way to victory.

{lordofthewing} thats why Mourinho is called Mr. Anti-Football. What Porto did that night as tainted as it was, its tactics. When it comes to winning on pure tactics, cheating and dirtiness is always involved, Mourinho is a man of the books, he is not your traditional player to coach like most of the greats in this era (except for a few)

So, you're saying Mourinho deserves our respect because he is the master of 'cheating'?

Not a chance.

Well said Rivaldinho.

The bottomline is that Porto team had the ABILITY to beat Celtic without resorting to cheating...

I'm not saying respect him because yes he is a little cheat. I want you to understand his side of the spectrum, and the business of football is extremley competitive and every club as well as managers have had their black days, Mourinho is jsut the only one that isn't afraid to show it.
