Morning all,
predictions. A difficult business, I'm sure you'll agree. Bakes predicted 3-2 for Germany but after extra time. Should we give him the kudos? Let the people decide.
I'm really looking forward to tonight's game between Croatia and Turkey - not the most high profile of teams but it's often those that provide the most entertainment. My guess is:
Croatia 4-2 Turkey
A veritable goalfest. Come on! Your predictions in the comments please.
Right, in today's Eurocast we have some of your emails about the German win over Portugal, exclusive dressing room access so we can hear Cristiano Ronaldo's post-game reaction, we talk to Tom our German correspondent and there's a quick preview of tonight's game.
Remember, we are looking for your thoughts on the games, so please email or leave voicemail for the Eurocast. It's easy and it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex. Not doing so makes you poor and smelly. So you know what to do.

We'll start with congrats to 4ndyL who got both games right in yesterday's predictions. Erm, actually no he didn't. So I withdraw those congratulations and give him half back for getting the Spain result right along with wandarah.
As usual I got none right so for anyone just starting this prediction thing my advice would be to look at what I do and do differently.
It's the first quarter final today though, so that means only one prediction so I have 50% less chance of being wrong. Or something. I reckon Germany are going to do it, actually.
Germany 2-1 Portugal
Lehmann to save a Ronaldo penalty too. Let us know what you think in the comments. I do like the knock-out stages though, it does make for more exciting football.
Now for the Eurocast. We've got an unhappy Swedish correpondent after his country's exit to the impressive Russia last night, Luigi talks about Spain's win over Greece and how the Spanish press are already starting to build up the game against Italy and a look ahead to tonight's game with Tom Thom(p)son.
Please do keep the emails and voicemails coming though. The more the merrier.

Happy Thursday to you all and welcome to another Eurocast and another round of predictions.
As usual we'll start with predictions and only ElTorro got one yesterday, correctly predicting the Turkish win over Switzerland. For today's game my completely incorrect guesses are:
Croatia 1-2 Germany
Austria 1-3 Poland
As usual leave your predictions in the comments.
Now, in today's Eurocast Tom and I discuss Portugal v Czech Republic and Switzerland's exit at the hands of the Turkey. There are some of your emails and voicemails too as well as a preview of today's games.
But please don't forget we want to hear what you think about the games, the performances, the tactics, the fans, the lovely girls, the rain, whatever. Anything at all to do with Euro2008 is ok by us please do get in touch.

Firstly,
congratulations to 4andyL who got both games exactly right in yesterday's predictions. That's a cracking start.
Let's have your predictions for today's game then in the comments. Mine are as follows:
Austria 1-3 Croatia
Germany 2-1 Poland
Now, the very first Eurocast is ready for download. This time it's mostly me with some email comments from some of you guys but we really do want to hear from you via the voicemail systems we've set up. Just make a phone call and tell us what you think. The more you guys get involved the better it'll be. You don't have to be a fan of any particular country to give us your opinion.
One of the emails today said that Ronaldo showed against Turkey why he was the best player in the world. Did he? Was he that good? You tell us.
Plus we're looking for correspondents for a number of countries, have a listen and see if you can get involved.
