Broken arrow....Helb Out , same as Grant!!!

Sunday, 25 May 08, 06:49 AM · Comments(0)

A warm and lovely weekend to everyone, well not really everyone. Helb has finally come out with the biggest indication that he is leaving Arsenal. Niki Spilevski who is Helb's agent revealed that the 27-year-old will leave North London this summer, following crunch talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

“I can officially confirm that a short time ago Alexander decided that he will leave Arsenal and join another club,” he said.

“Of course Arsenal and Arsene wanted him to stay but they have accepted the player’s choice.”  Well not without some couple of millions is Arsenal account. Quit a huge loss the team and hope his replacement { much rumored Nasri }  goes one step higher than him in his goal scoring record for Arsenal hopefully just in the first half of the season. Wow how great that would be.

Elsewhere as expected, Grant has been fired and that is with immediate effect. Wow, that sounds a military general's order...well as long as Chelsea is concerned, Roman Abramovich is definitely the 5-star general and his orders { Decree} are not to be questioned.

The second part of Chelsea's official communiqué pertained to the need to find a replacement. It read: "We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager for Chelsea and there will be no further comment until that appointment is made.

Rumours show that Frank Rijkaard and Inter's  Manchuni has all been tipped to replace Grant. We shall see about

European and World Footballer of the Year  Kaka has expressed his diappointment at not being at the Olympics . He says ; "I did everything I possibly could so that I could play at the Olympics,” stressed the 26-year-old.

“I made myself available. However, AC Milan have decided otherwise, and I have accepted it.” You have to agree with Milan that he shouldn't be allowed to play at the games. He has surgery to undertake { which he doesn't look forward to } and need time to recover from that { which he hopes would be in a month }. Health issues aside, I think Kaka should believe he has outgrown that and think more about adding the world come winners' medal to his collection.

Thats all about soccer issues for the weekend. Until tomorrow...sit back, relax and enjoy the weekend.
