It might be calm and quite at the Emirate stadium but definitely not same at the vendors' table across the street. In a quite trilling news, Arsene Wenger is making more than anticipated / usual transfer moves. Its making the rounds that PSG midfielder Clement Chantome is attracting interest from Arsenal.
Chantome was one of the few PSG players to come out of last season with any plaudits after a string of impressive displays in central midfield. The 22-year-old has been likened to Mathieu Flamini and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is reported to have met with the France Under-21 international in the last week.
The rush for the signature of our player maker Helb seems to be heating up .Real Madrid rival Barcelona, Inter for his boots. AS says Hleb's agents have been made aware of the interest of Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic through a high-level intermediary. Barca chief Txiki Begiristain has already held a round of talks with Hleb's minders.
However, Inter are regarded as favorites for Hleb after coach Roberto Mancini admitted his admiration for the versatile midfielder last week. It does seem though that our man Fancy's the taste of Italian ice cream to any around the world. Does that mean inter is his next destination?? we would have to wait and see. We definitely could cash in on the big man..did I hear you say £15 million...cool huh Here is a big one...
Arsenal have clinched a deal for Olympique Marseille star Samir Nasri, it has been revealed. L'Equipe says Nasri could sign a Gunners contract today before joining the France squad in Clairefontaine later this evening. The Gunners have struck terms over a £10 million deal, with Nasri to put pen to paper on a four-year Gunners contract. { Still yet to confirm that even though a side comment news flash on Euro sport seems to agree to that for £15 million . I think there is going to be a deal but believe the price would be a little higher than that.
Truthfully I am still finding it hard to see where Nasri would fit in for Arsenal, especially if the deal with Ben Arfa is anything to go by. Are we to play 4-3-1-2 now ? with Nasri being the "1 " in that formation. Almost forgot, Fat Albert Usmanov is weighing up making a demand for answers from the board this summer.
The Daily Mail says Usmanov, Arsenal's biggest shareholder, will be having strategy talks in Moscow with representatives of his Red & White holding company, including the chairman David Dein, to decide their next move in the Emirates Stadium power battle.
This follows Red & White's annoyance at unsatisfactory answers from the Arsenal board to their questions about the real reason for the departure of managing director Keith Edelman, who was hurried out of the building.
I think I could do with hearing the true story if there are other reason other than been published. A man wakes up one morning, packs his bag and leave a stunning home which he has built for years..hmmm..no smoke without a fire right ???
Some more summer fever coming up soon.
