I'm out of touch

Wednesday, 06 June 07, 12:22 PM · Comments(6)

Am I right in saying that Man United have signed Anderson, Nani and Hargreaves? Are these just over excited rumours or have I totally missed three of the biggest signings for at least two seasons?

If they have I'm extremely jealous. Nani, apparently is a clone of Christiano Ronaldo, a tricky winger. We all know about Hargreaves and Anderson is a Ronaldinho type player who can play in midfield or up front. Anderson and Nani both 20 or under and tiped to be world beaters in the near future. As for price I've heard 17million quoted for Hargreaves (stupid money) and 20million for both of the others.

West Ham have signed Scott Parker for what Newcastle have described as a profit on what they paid for him which was 6.5million. Birmingham could be about to offer Mark Viduka 60,000 a week, so deperate are they for a proven goalscorer. I expect even Viduka thought he was past it and yet here he is earning his biggest contract of his career.

On a final note the new Arsenal second kit is rubbish and I won't be wasting a penny on one.

The first reaction I had about the United signings was a bit exaggerated. Having though over the matter a few times, I think Nani, if he plays, will be most influential. Anderson's natural position is some what of a second striker. I don't think he will play much the first season. He looks immensely talented however, watched him play against us the champions league I must say he dint really stand out as such. Being only 19 he must surely have potential, United are not crazy to spend that sort of money for kicks.

Now Hargreaves, - ppffff ! that kind of money for him? ...and a large proportion of people (unfortunately, a majority of so-called Gooners) from what I read around, don't even rate Henry worth 20 mil if he is to go. Let me say it again, Hargreaves = 17 mil, but Thierry f***** Henry not worth 20 mil ! I know him being English and all that crap...but come on now.. common sense !
I thought Viduka is off to The Toon and B'ham after Djourou.

I thought Viduka was heading to the Toon army.

I think Hargreaves will fit in well with United and playing with Rooney and Rio will be good for the Three Lions.

Not sure about the youngsters from the Portuguese league. I may take awhile to gel.

I absolutely agree with NOG. I'm just quoting what I heard. Its seems everyone is right about Viduka. Apparently the tabloids are saying that he choose Newcastle because he thought the black and white stripes would make him look thinner! I doubt it has anything with Newcastle disproportionately large wage budget.
