I am a big fan of the US MNT and therefore love to see our players do well overseas. For this reason alone I have chosen to be a follower of Fulham and have been trying to follow them for the past couple of years. I did not choose them for their prowess in the Premier League (obviously). After their most recent addition of Kasey Keller they now have four members of the US team on their roster and for that reason I will remain faithful. Yet, I am finding that being a Fulham fan is not easy and this morning as I watched them play Tottenham I thought my misery would just have to continue after a dismal first half in which Fulham looked confused and pretty much like a high school team. There was one thing to smile about though - Dempsey hit a great header off of a corner into Tottenham's net. Mind you it wasn't so much a mistake by Robinson or any of the Tottenham players. This was a well earned goal. Clint went after the ball and hit it nicely with power.
Unfortunately, while Fulham was looking better in the second half, Tottenham put in one more to make it 3-1 which made the game seem out of reach. Still, Fulham continued to fight and equalized with two more goals - the second coming in the 90th minute. So, here I am happy about coming away with one point. I know, three is better and Fulham's defense is looking shaky. Yet, with the way they played in the first half one point is a wonder. I will be happy with the single point. At least they are not in last place:)
Will be posting about anything related to the US Men's National Team.
