Sub Heading......They sneaked it by the odd goal.
We are only eight games into this season, but, I thought that it might be interesting to have a look at our
early season form against teams that both us and the Huns have played so far.
The league table shows both teams are tied on 19 points, however, we have a superior goal
difference.
Both clubs have played St Mirren, Falkirk, Motherwell, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock and I have listed the scores
against each team.
Celtic
Rangers
St Mirren
1-0 H 0-1
A
Falkirk
3-0 H 1-0
A
Motherwell 4-2 A 2-1
H
Killie
3-1 A 2-1 H
Aberdeen
3-2 H 1-1 A
We have gathered 12 points from these games, scoring 14 goals and lost 5
they have gathered 10 points from these games, scoring 5 goals and lost 4.
We have played three of the games at home to their two at home.
As you can see we have performed far better in these games and have scored a hell of a lot more gaols than they have +9
goals for us and +2 for them. I think these stats show just how much better we are than them, as they have won each game by the odd goal and taking into account the fact that 4 of
the 5 teams that we have both played are in the bottom half of the league, Killie being the exception.
The catalyst for this good form.....step forward Mr Samaras and Mr Maloney, fast flowing football, its the
future......
After doing this, the capitulation at parkhead that day rankles even more. four two to that pile of u know
what.
Wrong team, wrong attitude, both on and off the park... haven't heard us so quiet at an derby game....still onwards and
upwards - hail hail to four in a row.
Cheer up Walter Smith...............
