The Most Scarily Accurate Letter of the season...

This letter appeared in the Observer Sport on 3rd August 2008:

Reasons to be Cheerful

I've read a few columnists now talking
about how depressing it is that the Premier
League is nearly back in all its bloated
hyped-up glory, but it's worth bearing in mind
that once again Spurs are giving neutrals
something to look forward to. like last summer
they've spent millions on "world class" talent,
their fans are that this is the season that they're
going to finish above Arsenal and romp inti the
Champions League and, once again, this is the
time when finally, after all the underachievements
and disappointments of the past, they'll be up where
they belong, with the other "big clubs". And yet the rest
of us know that they'll be bottom after six games and
the fans will boo them off after a home defeat to Hull
in October. It's going to be great.

Kevin Gardner

spookily accurate or what

Spooky. The bookies are giving odds on how many points Spurs will get in the Championship next season.
