Beckham to pledge his long-term future with United

Sir Alex Ferguson asked David Beckham to follow his example and extend his stay at Old Trafford on the very day the England skipper was immortalized by London's famous Madame Tussaud's Waxworks Museum, reported The Sun. England coach Sven Goran Eriksson and Beckham are at the center of Tussaud's new attraction 'Goal!' recreating Beckham's 93rd-minute equalizer against Greece that helped England to qualify for the World Cup finals.

Manchester United suggested the England skipper to sign a five-year GBP 22.5m deal before the end of the month. Beckham have good chances to gain GBP 10m short if he signs the new contract before the WC-2002, however the skipper's agents confirmed Becks' commercial value will rise above 40% from GBP 10 if he leads England this summer.
