Davies was born in Leystone, London, England on March 15th 1985 to an English mother and a Sierra Leonaen Father.
Club Football
Davies started his carrer at Wimbledon at the age of 15but was later released. He then wrote to ever club in his area including; Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Millwall. The First team who replied was Lutton Town who offered him a two week trial. During his trial he scored two goals in 3 games, he was offered a scholarship straight away. he made his full team debut in 2003.
He made 6 apperances in the 03-04 season and made 44 apperances the next season as the hatters were promoted. He was namaed as the league one player of year 04-05, Lutton Town Young player of the season and was in the League one PFA team of the season.
The next season Davies only made 6 apperances for the hatters and was signed on august 31st by the premier league side West Bromwich Albion for £3 million.
He had an impressibe first season for the baggies making 35 starts and scoring two goals. However they were relgated to the chamionship. In the 06-07 season he was made permanent captain he had a good season and was named in the 06-07 championship PFA team of the year.
On june 21st he handed in a transfer request and then two more which where rejected. on august 30th 2007 Albion stated they had given Davies permission to speak to Aston Villa.
On August 31st 2007 davies signed a year long loan contract with a view to a permanent move.
He made his debut on september 27th in the defeat against Leicester City he compared his performace to that of a pub footballer.
however he overcame his poor start and became a villa regular. on march 1st 2008 davies ruptured his Achilles Tendon against Arsenal and would be out for 6 months.Davies trained hard and made an amazing comeback after 4 months and played 60 minutes in a friendly against reading.
his move to villa was made permanent on july 3rd 2008.
