Hull City FC

Hull City FC, also known as the Tigers, is an English Premier League team. Founded in 1904, Hull City AFC had a number of different English football legends wear its black and yellow stripped jerseys including Bill McNaughton and Raich Carter. The Tigers spent a major of their years playing out of Championship League and Third Division of English football, and were promoted to the Premier League for the first time in their history last year. Hull City has also played out of numerous venues all over Kingston upon Hull including Boothferry Park and Analby Road. Currently, the Tigers play out of KC Stadium, its home ever since 2002. The venue holds the largest capacity out of all the previous stadiums which the club has played in, with a total of 25,404 seats. Hull’s current superstar players are Michael Turner and Ian Ashbee and the organization is managed by Phil Brown.

Hull City FC in 2008/2009

As the newly promoted team, expectations for Hull City FC are low. A 17th place league finish, allowing them to stay in the Premier League would be more then enough to satisfy Tigers Fans. However, if the club finishes mid table it would prove to English football fans, that this is a team meant to play on a Premier League level.

Finishing mid table is certainly a good possibility for the Tigers. They have all the talent and the right coaching to make it happen. Michael Turner has proven himself to be one of the top defenders in England. He has made many hard to get saves, deserving the Player of the Year award in 2007-2008. Ian Ashbee, Hull’s captain and midfield has been great at attacking and is the main reason why the club plays so well as a unit. Craig Fagan is Hull City’s newly acquired striker. Fagan has the ability to find the net in the toughest situations. If these players can avoid getting injured, the club will have a great first season in the premier league.
