Newcastle United in 2008/2009

With the departure of Kevin Keegan as head coach, Newcastle United FC looks like a mess this season. Newcastle United Fans are not showing up to any game and attendance is at its lowest in 16 years. Newcastle Owner Mike Ashley even put the team up for sale. There are no hopes for the Magpies to win any major competition this season. This club is looking so bad they might even get relegated.

At the beginning of the season the club lost to easy competitors such as West Ham and Tottenham. They are ranked 19th in the English Premier League. The player’s frustration with the squad is continually increasing as captain Michael Owen and striker Shola Ameobi are pledging to quit the team after this season if thing don’t turn out for the best. If Captain Michael Owen can pull Newcastle together and save the squad from being relegated, it will be a miracle.
